william regal is one of those guys that (and i had a wonderful one i wouldnt replace for anyone) but you completely get when people half jokingly say "i wish he was MY DAD" just cus he seems like such a pure, honest, sensitive but also real and stern soul.
a true old school REAL man
🎶A real man's man. 🎵
Drop the mic! Well said.
"How do you like working in AEW" -- very topical question to hear Regal answer right now
this interviewers hair looks fuckin crazy
I'd love to see him turn up on Sunday
Regal's got to be proud of Mox stepping up to be a mentor and leader
Legand
You can tell he is very happy with going back to wwe he can't help but smile about it.
The interview is from earlier this year.
The director of being William regal, that'd be a great job title for aew to have
Amist the "current" situation with Regal returning to WWE, this interview is not relevant. This was from when he was with AEW.
I reckon regal/mjfs run could have been better than Austin/McMahon given the time😩 we shall never know though.
Cause AEW is TNA 2009 lol
You must be out of your damn mind
Put the crack down
Have fun when Vince comes back
Vince isnt coming back though.
Lucky he didn’t bash wwe . I know there would be no reason for him to, but just saying
Outlaw Mudshow 💩
Mister Regal, Vince return and FIRED YOU...AGAIN.and this time you deserve everything.
If AEW want people to care about wheeler and take him seriously as this "crazy badass asian" they need to shave his fucking head.
Watch how it changes everyone's perception about him.
K weirdo. Next you gonna say that woman wrestling need to be in pantie and bra as well?
Bad advice. You don't need to go from a schoolboy haircut to bald to be taken seriously.
Who's the 🍍Who's the 🍍Who'ssssss the 🍍On the right!!!!!!!!
it's a shame that he never held the world title
Just like with Taker, you don't really need a strap to get over
@@williammitchell4417you’re comparing regal to taker?
@@TomBradyisGOAT. since this was months ago and Regal's no longer with the company... As for the Deadman, he retired.

I caught that and WOW!! I Think I see the problem now and I don't think not absorbing this well of knowledge is the biggest problem. It's a problem but I think it's more about respect for the business.... This.... This was their life and seeing some of these cats just come in make their selves at home. Keep in mind before AEW, there was only one way.the road they all traveled. The hard way. I understand that. It's all about protecting the institution they helped and just seeing some new guys showing up, cutting corners and well going about it all wrong. Do not get me wrong . I like a lot of the new school too. Especially FTR. They live and die this business. To me, they're like the second coming of the Midnight Express. MJF - Holy ****!!! When he's done he may arguably the best heel ever. Well next to Cornette of Course. 😂😈😂. Ricky Starks. This one just recently happened. I had no clue he wrestled at NWA Corrigan's baby rebirth. If you told me 30 years ago this dude would not only release one of the best alt rock albums ever Siamese Dream but was an avid wrestling fan who'd go on to buy NWA. I'd of told you I hope i brought that **** with you when you stop by.
Kenny Omega. The Jackal is his manager. He can't be all bad. Truth be told, he's not like any other wrestler I've ever seen. I think what puzzles me with this guy is and maybe it's just me... I feel like he's stuck on a loop. He's capable of so much more. You didn't blow up in Japan for no reason. When he's on, He could wrestle a broom stick and make it seem compelling. When he just mails it in, your just left with this OFFS look on your face.
The Bucks. I'm a wrestling fan not a gymnastics meet junkie. I've seen most Star Wars movies. I do not recall Ewoks flying. I wanted to like these guys in the beginning I did but the whole trying to sell this timeless fiction of how hard they've worked to get to where they are... Really? I had no idea crowd sourcing and riding coattails was so demanding. Now don't get me wrong they're talented but they seem to have convinced all their fans if you don't like the Bucks you're haters. That's not it at all. They want is all the glory without the work. All I can think of is aww cute the invincible Ewoks are back. Yay uh no. And the biggest problem of all. Meltzer. It's no secret he's a fan boy keep the fan boy part in mind. and that's fine. That's fine. But here's the problem I have. He's never a match in his life. Some douche did the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life. Ok not dumbest but close yesterday if an actual wrestler gives you constructive solid answers and you cannot control your emotions don't tell them you prefer Meltzers answer because he seems to know more. I damn near died of laughter. If I wanted to educate myself about how things work. I'm definitely going with experience. I sure as hell wouldn't take my car to a fry cook. I understand they got their fans cutting corners he name drops only when it suits him. How many articles do you have to write a week on the same subject? I will say this, they have one hell of a damage control team because they scramble like squirrels to get out there and create their own biassed narrative. It is not my intent to make their fans mad at all. I know I used some harsh terms to describe them. There was a time when I did kind of like them but I definitely see how they operate now. Nor am I saying no one should like. Are you freaking kidding me? I get it. They have a target audience that they appeal to but I will say this the next one of you little twinks that messages me calling me a ****rider. I'm calling your parents. Just kidding. Call me what you want if I dish it so must I take it. But I think that as long as they stay in AEW, They can stay at the top of the food chain for quite a while.
Nice
He's such a good guy. World needs more people like him.
He's good as long as he doesn't get besmirched.
@@imsljr420 Oh god you just brought back memories XD
@@imsljr420 Amen to that.
too bad he never gets the credit which he truly deserves as they had him in embarrassing roles mostly as a heel duriing his career for example we seen him butt naked backstage promo with teddy long no way out and first blood match with triple H. These things happen in 2007 and 2008. He deserves the same treatment as Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho especially siince he never left WWE to go work for other wrestling promotion that probably would have treated him better. My point is that besides been a great technical wrestler he was also great if we watch his promos with the Rock. Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho promos with the rock during the attitude era was equally entertaining as Mr Regal.
@@looneytunea3064 I don't think it's disrespecting him putting him in embarrassing roles, it's comedy wrestling. Kurt Angle and Steve Austin were put in that situation where they were trying to get Vince approval and would hug him. Kurt Angle said in his HOF speech "you can't take yourself serious all the time". I'm sure Regal didn't mind those segments and thought they were funny and entertaining.
He humiliated Goldberg in Goldberg’s prime by giving him a wrestling lesson in front of the WCW audience.
actually it was miss communication and politics involved.
@@kyleday5026 no it was half and half.
Goldberg sucks, Regal proofed it
Good old regal 😂
@Cold Snap exactly, it wasn't some personal thing, it was a fuckup in communication. Regal just did what he was told for the match, as did Goldberg. Management was to blame.
William regal is the agreeable friendly jim cornett. Just all the knowledge in the world of how to do wrestling.
What a stupid comparison. 😒
Everyone always talks about who are your top 5/rushmore wrestlers of all time, but I've never heard of top 5 backstage figures in wrestling of all time... do you think Regal is on that list? anyone care to share?
Regal could be on that list but Dusty is definitely in it for sure.
You have to wait until wrestlers younger than the Attitude Era get their own podcasts up and running and start shooting on him. As you can see, the landscape right now is only guys who are as old or older than he is giving tell-alls, with the exception of Chris Jericho, who seems to be the youngest doing it.
So stay tuned as the decade progresses.
First time i've seen Jedward in about 10 years
Regal’s backdrop looks like he’s about to shoot a backstage promo on Raw 😂😂
... And Stacy Keibler is hiding behind the curtain 😎
And he went back to WWE.
Honestly, the guys in AEW who think they know everything therefore they don't need to hear any advice/constructive criticism from a veteran of the business like Regal, are douchey af. No one ever knows everything about anything and you should learn at least 1 new thing a day. I dont blame Regal for wanting to go back to WWE where his son is and where there's talent that will actually seek and listen to his advice.
There’s only a few younger guys I’ve heard talk openly about seeking advice or learning from anyone else. MJF has talked about his time in MLW and Jericho has said he came to him advice help. And Starks, who’s heaped praise on Punk for his willingness to help. Consequently, both more over organically than Adam Page, Jungle Boy or anyone else on Team Buck. Almost like Jericho, Danielson and Punk know something about being successful in American wrestling
that man is a gd king's ransom of wrestling knowledge.
And Tony Khan made him a manager lol
@@al5306 Yep..... Khan is failure of the decade.
And like with most people who are a wealth of wrestling knowledge: no one picked his brains for that knowledge in AEW because they’re a bunch of entitled toddlers who THINK they don’t need any tips or advice
@@HarleyQuinnSoldier And u see the results. They will never get any bigger and that company will never grow because of that reason right there. They will never get any mainstream buzz they will never get any casual fans and they are squandering a golden opportunity. Why those morons are EVP'S is beyond me. I feel sorry for them.
When i was a kid for some reason regal never seem like a cool character or memorable except the Eugene story but now i think hea great. Appreciate many of them now in this time
For some reason I like listening to Regal more when he speaks in his real accent
Ugh it hurts because Regal is exactly the leader aew needs
The one no one listened to??? AEW is a lost cause
@@jackhughes7637Yep too much politics in there, he's better in NXT
Lord Regal isn't wearing any trousers during this Interview. Good old Regal.
WILLIAM REGAL RIGHT ABOUT DIFFERENCES WORKING IN AEW TO WWE ?
Regal is a great believer in the reflection learning model
Best thing about Regals job in WWE is he gets paid and all he has to say is WAR GAMESSSS
Giving other people your 2 cents that's going to make them less of a sh*tter is actually very rewarding, and fulfilling when they actually do come out better for it.
@@yourdagan don’t come at me with silly riddles if you gonna say something just spit it out.
"That was then, this is now."
Like shaking hands with a billionaire who is all business to a billionaire fanboy who hugs ppl like a 10 year old at his first comic con meeting his first wrestler
Everybody saying Vince will fire Regal again, watch Regal's previous video on Inside The Ropes. Vince PERMITTED Regal to work for AEW and debut in March on Revolution when his WWE Contract was expiring a month later in April. He was paid by Vince till his last date in April even after leaving for AEW. Without knowing shit, don't crap all over their relationship.
Regal wasn't fired as per his explanation; he was let go due to politics. Somebody in management behind the scenes really didn't like him and forced upper management to release him, even though they didn't want to as evidenced by such a considerate gesture as you mention.
That's what William Regal implied.
Well the common similarity is that they both suck
sounds like he really enjoyed his time at aew...
That's a haircut....
Nice
EVPs?
In aew you work with self titled kids, in WWE you work with regulated kids
That's not at all what he said but thanks for letting us know your immaturity
I know man I hate pro wrestling too. Maybe if we work together and bombard comment sections with negativity we can keep killing the pro wrestling fan base. We must not stop until every company is bankrupt and ever wrestler is unemployed. We can do man!
Yeah, you work there right buddy? My god...
You work there?
@Michael Uhlir geez bro it wasn't that serious
If you really wanted to bring talent up why didn't you get transferred to roh instead of running back to WWE? Also how foolish does this man feel now that Vince is coming back?
RoH or VP in WWE, hard choice that one…😂
God forbid he want to work where his son works.
ROH doesn’t exist. It’s a corpse brand being kept on life support on another show by a billionaire who was a mark for it in 2005. Even if you dislike WWE wrestling, it’s not exactly a hard choice to make.
@@mahakalavanilla6263 yes and WWE was owned by a man child who shited on his own father principals while trying to create a monopoly. Your point Mr Mahakalaclown?
In AEW the immature Elite cosplay as EVPs. That is the difference.
His one of his best matchbwas Benoit vs Regal back in 2005. Too bad wwe wants us to forget that.
Which one? Regal and Benoit never had a bad match imo
I wonder why "they'd want us to forget" matches involving a vile killer of his own wife and child..?!
@@MorrisseyMuse yes, because Benoit is the only person who had done vile actions, right? I'm not justifying the behavior, but they could make it a teachable moment in the form of the wwe games.
Regardless of what he did out of the ring. In the ring he was still one of the best. But we only remember him for his last actions, not everything he did before.

This isn't relevant anymore.
It is , regal was in the know at AEW and he is coming into WWE as vice president position
@@dguytheguy4653 right, but this video is from almost a year ago right?

Jon Moxley terrible thought but Danielson great in ring could coach good.

HUMANIPULATION NATION just like the young bucks and Kenny Omega?
Bahahahahhahahahahahahahaha......satire?
Your mother sure did though
Don’t blame regal, blame his booker
Tell me you're new to wrestling without saying you're new to wrestling...
One company is a joke and the other is a BIGGER joke. That's the difference.
If Vince gets back into WWE, Regal is gonna get refired 🙄
no way is he ever coming back....
@@CarbiesChronicles ok mr know it all
@@rubberchix Triple H and his wife along with more management don't want him back. The whole roaster probably don't want him back. Let alone the fans don't want him back. Only person who probably want him back is Nick Khan. Vice isn't ever coming back
@@AltoRosei OK genius
@@CarbiesChronicles For the most part I agree. But I know.... Just know the man is scheming as much as his mind will allow him these days. He'll try something but at the moment his plan is still in the roadrunner/coyote phase.
