Coast 2 Coast Whitehaven to Sunderland

- A look back at our recent 3 day ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland following the NCN routes which are mainly well marked but there are variations including an offroad route which we sampled the odd section, some we were unable to due to tree felling, but all in all a cracking route & we picked some great campsites for resting our heads, pre C2C camp at Seacote park in St Bees before headin to the start, 1st night of trip at Gill head farm site at Troutbeck, final night was the Haggs Bank bunkhouse camp at Nentsberry, Alston.
Thanks also to Eno a 14yr old lad who was lost on his cycle home from church in Newcastle to Sunderland who tagged along then finally lead us to the seafront & joined us dipping his front wheel in the surf along with our group before heading off home, we hope he's inspired to ride further for his own adventures in the future, we all had a blast another trip ticked off, where to next? leave your suggestions in the comments & thanks for watching, taking the time to read this, why not subscribe for our next adventure.

I tried to do the same route 7 years ago for charity, unfortunately suffered a heart attack on the second day, was rushed to Carlisle infirmary, made a full recovery, though I didn't finish the ride, everyone who sponsored me still pay for our local hospice raised just under £800, but still feel the need to finish it,
Glad to hear you made a full recovery maybe ride the bit you missed at some point it's a lovely route I wish you well.
@@russrides1053 talked about it several times, the guys I did it with will do the full ride and I'd finish the last bit, my wife and kids tell me it's not a good idea, really in joyed the video, brought back good memories and bad,
