It’s very tough, once it’s established it’s likely not going anywhere. But your friend can try to plug the common Bermuda area with hybrid, and mow really low. Perhaps the hybrid will gain an advantage. Other option is to just live with both of them
How do I get my Common Bermuda yard to thicken up? Do I Need To reseed ? Because I've have mowed low , fertilized as well a 43,000 sq ft of yard. I have one part of the yard that the neighbors oak trees cast shade (mowing dust) tried cutting trees back to get more sun light but grass just won't grow/spread what to do in this area?
@@darronbrown9786 Mowing low is great! If you start to mow often, it should start thickening up. But if it’s in a lot of shade, there’s not much you can do other than thin out the branches. Bermuda thrives in sunlight and dies in shade.
So if you did make this mistake how can you fix it

Thank you for the very important information!
I made this mistake as well when I first started caring for my lawn. The previous owners didn’t care for it so I thought it was all weeds 😢
