I think I said this before but its worth another mention. You are so fortunate to be able to work with your dad. It warms my heart to see you two working together.
Making life long memories❤❤❤
Extremely blessed!!
Hard to understand why you don’t have more subscribers. Your metal working skills are top notch!
Thanks for the thumbs up! Glad you enjoy the work.
You are the Bob Ross for car lovers! Most people would just hack the old parts and weld everything up .
Thank you very much!
Love your car re-designs and fabrication work.
Appreciate it!!!
Skilled subtle shaping creates classy curves front and back. Taking the Dodge boys to school.
Thank you!!
Nick, quality work as ever. This just demonstrates how capable you two are on that english wheel. Incredible work. Thank you both, Joe,
Our pleasure!
This channel really deserves more subs, come on guys, share it around, this content is well worth the watch.
Yes he does!
Thanks, I appreciate your support!
It's going to blow up soon.
thanks for all the great content Nick. the recent work you and your father have done on the Shoebox Ford, Chrysler 300i and AWD Charger is nothing short of incredible. considering the fact you have a day job as well with Invision Prototype clients, it's amazing what you both have achieved in the last couple of years. cheers.
It's our pleasure Mr. J and we're glad you're enjoying the projects. Stay tuned for more fun stuff in the coming months.
Thanks for showing the process for making a fender from scratch and all the forming ins and out. I think this will be my favorite of all you projects but the Semi Hemi is running a close second.
Glad you're enjoying the builds!! I try to get into the 'why' while showing the 'how'.
You never cease to amaze me with your talent!!
It's definitely one of a kind content on UA-cam!!
Cheers! 🎉
Thank you so much! Glad you're enjoying the build!
great team work
Exactly! It's all about the Ying and the Yang :D
You never fail to impress us with your skills ..as always great work 👏
Thank you so much 😀
The overall proportions of the car look great!
Glad you like them John!
I like the proportions of your car. The original Charger had a nose that was too long.
Thank you!!
i think the look would benefit from larger wheels and tires front and rear...love what you are doing but had that thought
Great thought! And already checked off the list. Check out the previous episode. Let me know what you think of those.
Amazing masterful fabrication, great presentation Nick!
Thank you! Cheers!
I look forward to all your videos so thank you for taking the time to produce them, the heart beat audio while wheeling made me chuckle.
Awesome! Thanks!!
Like factory..made
Thank you!!
Lost my comment again ... profile is lookin good ... still has that Mopar look ... xxx door handles xxx ... good video ...
You're gonna just love the next episode on this one Joe! Dunno what's going on with the comments. You aren't the only one. Not sure if it's my channel or more widespread.
Another great show Nick
Thanks Patrick!!
26:36 that looks amazing! Always felt the overhangs were long.
Thanks man!
Mind blowing fab work Nick. I'm just a weekend warrior, I love building cars but I doubt I would ever take is as far as building a car around a hood ornament like you can. Amazing work
Hope we can pull this off! Lot left to do to make it look 'right'. By the way, don't sell yourself short my friend. It's only metal!
Nice work again Nick and thanks for taking the time to explain and show how to shape the metal and fix mistakes it helps take some of the mystery out of metal shaping for those of us who haven't done this work as a trade. The lines are looking good... you have a good eye for detail and I am looking forward to seeing the front end come together. Cheers Greg
Thanks Greg!!
Looking fantastic, guys! Cheers 🇦🇺
Thank you!!
Always so stimulating watch you take a piece of plate and make it into body panel.🇿🇦
Glad you enjoyed the episode!
Thank you guys so much . The way you explain every thing your doing is very informative. The car looks awesome .thanks again. Cant wait for the next one.
A lot show the 'how' ... I try to give viewers the 'why' as well. That way they can feel more comfortable applying what they see to their own projects. Thanks for the thumbs up!!
Super-skilled work there Nick ! Many thanks for sharing the techniques for confirming overall proportions of the build and crafting the new panels.
Thank you!!
I like the nice fat front fender look Nick . I’d like to see it stay as fat as possible . Also in the mock up I like the fact that you can’t see the edge of the front bumper. It’s like the bumper is frenched in and not visible on the side profile. Very unique look IMO . Looks great as usual .
I was going to trim that area along side the front bumper away. Going to have another look at it...see how the lines flow You may have something there :D
Just plain cool. Well done 👍
I've learned just enough to walk up the wheel with some confidence, so far nothing as big as what you guys are doing, but I use it alot and the pieces work out just fine.
So thanks
My pleasure! Thanks for the thumbs up.
Love what you are doing just wish l could see more of your progress on this charger and your 300 . Kinda missed when you finished the fenders doors and rear quarters and caught up with you after you had put paint on it. Did see when you were sanding it. Really would like to see more of this build and progress on it. l know you have other projects to do but l'm really interested in the dodge charger your working on.
What parts would you like to see more of, specifically. I'll do my best to work it in. Thanks for the support!!
@@iNVisionPrototypes well all of what you are doing on the dodge charger (cause l'm a Mopar nut with a 69 charger) and am very interested in what you are doing. Especially when you build your own fenders, and quarter panels.
@@michaelasher8084 Perfect! Will do.
Looking great!
Thank you very much!!
Looking good. So much great info here!!
Glad you're enjoying the build!
Thank you for sharing your skills.....
I appreciate the support Gary!!
The reworked quarterpanel looks great! I also like how you’ve modified the front grille surround! And for the new grille filler pieces how about going with chromed heavy duty wire diamond mesh like on a 30’s blower Bentley? I think that will enhance the dual headlight bucket rims.
Thank you! Will have to see where I can source that. Going forward things are gonna get interesting around here...
Bravo!
Thank you!!
Great video, very interesting thanks Nick.
Thank you very much!!
Mint
Thanks Doug!!
Please keep up the great work
Thanks, will do!!
What do you mean you can’t see both sides of the car at the same time. You will make the passenger side real close to the drivers side It will look the Same
👍🏻 Thanks for watching!!
In the 70's, I had 2 Cragars on one side of my car and 2 aluminum slots on the other of my gray primered car. I never pointed it out, no one noticed until about 6 months later. When it was noticed, they said the slots should be on the front and the Cragars on the back, they didn't get it.
I thought the front bumper looked different
It's a very subtle change.
Could you not have used the top of the old fender and welded it to the new side piece, its about the same amount of welding.
Old fenders are fiberglass.
Nick, unrelated to this build but I know you would know after building your dads green shoebox. Is there a rear window garnish molding for the back window in a shoebox? I'm picking up a back window and surrounding metal for a future chop project and the seller says it doesnt have or ever did have a garnish. Thanks!!
I don't believe these cars came with any garnish. Just the main rubber seal that had a wide inner lip. The interior panels/fabric slid under this lip. The Victoria did, but that's completely different window. Since so much of the green car's interior was missing I assumed there was a garnish and left a little space between the seal and ceiling liner. Mistake :( Have to build a piece of garnish trim to install sometime. Care to share some more on this future project? :D
@@iNVisionPrototypes Thanks Nick. Once I saw the inside of the seal it looked like it was made just the way you described. In the end I didnt buy it as the guy wasnt around and it was at a meth house and the glass was scratched even though he said it was good glass.😡 I am gonna go look at a 50 Pontiac back glass this week as another option. It's a 4 door parts car and has some silver streak chrome and a dash still so I may grab some of that for future use.
The project this is for is a 52 customline. I dont see many 52-54 shoeboxes getting chopped probably due to that back curved around glass that usually gets sunk into the body. I am thinking of sectioning the roof and sliding it forward as well as down over the the top of the windshield and maybe a Victoria windshield(which is shorter) to get it down and just replace the back glass entirely. If I were really talented like you I would section the cowl and lower the entire windshield down and lengthen the hood to conceal the wipers and get the top down 3" to 4" and then chop the sides as usual and replace the back glass. On this one I don't hardly have any money in it and it is rough enough to not feel bad being a little adventurous.
@@danielbuckner2167 That sounds exciting!! Nothing wrong with being adventurous. Thanks for sharing!!
@@iNVisionPrototypes exciting yes, we'll see if its exciting good or exciting bad in the end! 😀
like 28 !
Appreciate the support!!
It is Screaming AMC Javelin to me .
Cool!
Great work, but a peaked nose says Pontiac to me… not Mopar.
It's a very subtle change to help with the flow. Unless another Charger was parked next to it 99% of people looking could never tell. Thanks for watching!!
why build new fenders like this all parts are in shop!! i think the same price and the old fender are also good for restauration you love your tool like toys stupi. guys !!
Original fenders are fiberglass. Also, wrong size for the new proportions. This will all work out in the end, trust me!
she s just horrible a lot of work for this !!
You're right! She did start out horrible. But gonna be AMAZING when she's finished! Yes sir!!
Is this your "day job", or do you have another job?
Hi Brian, the channel is something I do for fun sharing my own builds and at times some of our clients' rides. I run a custom/restoration shop that specializes in design and metal shaping. Check out my website invisionprototypes.com when you get a moment. Cheers!
I really enjoy watching these videos however, I would like to suggest perhaps take notice and be aware of your speech/inhale pattern does something to make one anxious and myself, had to read other comments to realize I’m not the only one. I end up turning the volume to zero. If the sharp inhale right after every sentence was mitigated, it would, I believe, only give the viewer a more pleasant experience along with your wit and humor and obvious workmanship.
You serious pal? People normally need to breathe when speaking/presenting. Makes you anxious? He's the calmest guy on UA-cam. From the comments I have read viewers refer to him as the Bob Ross of custom car building and I have to agree! Nick if you're reading this keep up the great work.
@juniorjunior5950 I'll reposition the mic. Thanks for watching!
@vetteguru5722 Bob Ross eh? LOL! That give me an idea.
Dang Sweet!
Thank you very much!!
