Can you believe Jay Z's original came out 3 years before Cocona was even born? These girls do their homework like studious students. What happens when Thanos snaps over Cocona's shoulder? People turn to dust and she just brushes it off - this bar is hard. Every verse is a JayZ reference used against the haters, Genius.
Jay Z was a timeless classic 😊 may be Cocona will pass this Culture into her Grandchildren 😂

"Always ready to show and prove it" - Show and Prove is a song by Big Daddy Kane featuring Jay-Z, some would say Jay-Z's breakout verse
As to why people hate on XG? There are just a lot of clowns out there who don't understand the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation. Anyone who knows anything about XG and their organization knows that their appreciation of black culture and hip hop culture is unmatched in the international scene.

That Meteor bar goes deeper than you think. A Meteor ia also a Shooting Star one of xg's songs, also Meteora is a Linkin Park album the group who collabed with Jay Z on Encore mentioned earlier in the song.
That meteor bar is even deeper then you mentioned above because in the track 'show you can' by maya and cocona , one of their bars is: we're meteor flame, they're mediocre plain. I think that is why they used the word meteor here

one of the things Eminem always gets credit for is he always refences the ones who came before you can see XG does similar things and that they are heavily influenced by late 90's early 2000s hip hop. personally i love it.
