- This is a high quality compilation upload of my TikTok series about how every state sounds as piano notes. The original series was made over a span of 18 days, from 9.11.2020 - 9.29.2020. As of this video's upload date, the series has surpassed 7 million views in total. Countries are next! Enjoy.

Imagine traveling through all the different states and you hear these each time you cross into a new state, just like hearing a video game area's theme song upon entering the area for the first time.
And then you get to Rhode Island…

I fell to my knees, and I've never even been to Rhode Island, let alone lived there. I was taken aback by the sheer glory and sophistication, all contained within such simplicity.

@@JakeArtist13 it's like the states held a competition for who would get to be the startup and shutdown for Windows XP. Personally, I think Delaware's was great, not too long or gaudy, and not too short considering it's small size.

I like how accurate Montana is, the western part is all fancy, and the eastern part is just a couple continuous notes. It is very true, I know from experience.

@@pebblethesandwing1151 rip lol. I go hunting out near Mosby, and it is jinxed I swear. There hasn’t been one time that iv’e gone out there and it went normal. First time I went, we got bogged down in mud and I had to miss a day of school. The second time, my dad’s truck broke down, so we had to pile up in our friend’s truck for the three-or-so hour drive back to Bozeman.

This... is a really unique idea for creating leitmotifs for geographic locations. Just draw the place's borders in a midi roll and see what you get. I should add this to my repertoire.

This is totally brilliant. Careful arrangement to have each state finish on a chord. Poor little one-note RI! I'd love to hear this on a barrel organ. You could expand this concept to cover each continent.

More work went into this than meets the eye. There was creative placement of the lines in order to approximate the shape of each state, while still making chords that work together, plus have the eastern edge of each state have a chord that resolved.

Delaware (and New Hampshire kinda) sounds stereotypically fancy and Hawaii sounds like a ringtone that would be called something like "relaxing tropical breeze".

How you got all of it to actually sound genuinely amazing and satisfying to listen to was just geniusly done, and very fascinating too.
Sirprisingly good sounding. Like it is ready for a GameBoy Color or Advance game with each state involved as an area in the story.

I like how the music somehow projects the general areas ways. The west coast area is more like magical and chords like the mountains and flowery hill and the central area is more longer notes like all the plains of farming land and the eastern ish coast is more magical teeming with different sparkles of notes

Y'know... I got nothing. No remarks, no sarcasm, no jokes. That was just really pleasant and oddly nostalgic. Genuinely made me feel better in a way I can't explain, maybe it's just the amount of time you put in to make it all sound nice. Reminds me that for all it's flaws, I do love this country a lot. It has so much natural beauty and so many micro cultures and all types of wonderful sights and environments. I don't know why that's my takeaway, but it is, and it's kinda hitting hard right now. I feel like this is more of a clever alignment/arrangement of notes of a certain key in the shapes of states. Doesn't make it any less impressive though. Very nicely done.
