Way to go, Riders. Another great game to watch. It looked like Christmas on the field with all the green and red. It's going to be interesting to see who can make the playoffs. It is still up in the air. 🇨🇦
"Article 13 - Blindside Blocking It shall be illegal for any player to deliver a forcible block on an opponent while moving back towards their own dead ball line anywhere on the field." It was close, but it was the right call.
@@timapple6586 Yeah. I agree, much to the dismay of my wife. It was pretty easy to see that he leaned into that block just a little too much for it to be considered incidental.
If Rourke decides to stop stinking it up before the end of the season I could see it happening in free agency. Maier and Bonner are both clearly not capable of starting and running an offense
@@CheeseEnthusiast617 well that's true but he is the highest paid canadian qb in the league secondly he haven't played in the cfl since 2022 plus he's in a different system right now!!!
I get it, but he tried to avoid him. You can clearly see him let off and try to swerve in order to avoid hitting the kicker. He basically brushed against him and we're gonna call that a major? Football is getting too soft.
You think that's soft. Last week they called CTK *after* a blocked punt. But they seem to be enforcing the rule pretty consistently, and so long as the refs are also open to calling an objectionable conduct for 'diving', then I'm fine with it.
It was contacting the kicker which you cannot do if they are in their normal kicking motion. If he hit the kicker on the plant leg it would have been roughing but it was on the kicking leg so just contacting. As an annoyingly objective Rider fan (so says my wife) it was the right call.
@@madmastaflexpenalties are not based on intent, they’re by the book. Rules are rules and I’m glad the refs for the most part aren’t soft about them like they are in the NFL
Blind side block calls are ruining the game of football. I will never stop watching football, but I do not enjoy the turn this sport is taking. The blindside call is supposed to be used to protect players from defenders targeting them when they are vulnerable. Not to punish a defender for making a great play and taking a lead blocker out. It's a shame, real football left when they started "protecting" players with penalties nearly every game.
Last week the Stamps should have won, but fumble at the 2, 30 yds in penalties on one play, only 3 pounts after the 1st five minutes. This week Stamps could've won, roughing penalty to give the ball back; can still tie, throw a pick.
Maier doesn’t have the ability to be clutch. If it’s the first 55 minutes of the game he can be decent but as soon as you put him in an all or nothing situation he chokes
It seemed to me the rider took their foot off the pedal a bit at the half. And if they didn’t the score would’ve been ugly. They were by far the better team
Maybe for the first 2 minutes, but the other 58 it was definitely Sask’. I understand why it was a penalty but that blindside block by Emilus seemed to be a tone setter for the team.
It doesn’t matter what your favorite team is, that was a damn good football game

Very good game with some great plays. Defense looked like preseason tho.
Amazing uniform matchup
As a rider fan I absolutely love the stamps uniforms. Seriously
@@creedencebakken2686I’m the complete opposite on that. I hate the striped uniforms, I liked the ones they had a few years ago way better
Classic uniforms
That was a great game. Even better, the Riders won.
Game highlight much appreciated; go CFL go.
That last play was 100% Craig Dickenson's idea.
As a lifelong rider fan you could not be more right that’s totally something he’d call
Go Saskatchewan!!! ☮
Nice work Riders!
Right on for the combine riders.

I agree. I love his enthusiasm and love of the game. I was very happy when he did some WHL games in May
A big shout out to the TSN broadcast 👍
0 and 5.!! How far the Stampeders have fallen..!! New QB. NEW Coaching Staff..!! New Attitude!!
New owners who are willing to spend enough money to try to win the cup
Anyone getting Power Ranger or Christmas vibes with these colors?
The stadium looked like a watermelon 😂
Christmas on the football field up north

Sorry Stamps. It's just good to see the Riders win...
Can someone tell me how that was a blindside block?

Calgary Stampeders needs to receive Vernon Adams jr for 2 future draft picks to bc lions 👍👍👍

Finally a win. Lol
Too bad Calgary's bighill went to Denver
Football has gotten way too sensitive. That's roughing the kicker? Jesus. This coming from a Saskatchewan fan.
Yes because you can’t hit the kicker in a vulnerable or defenceless position

Proof Jake Maier is in fact not the answer and if the Stamps were smart, they’d move on from him this offseason
CFL officiating is a joke. That was a clean block and NOT from the blind side. Hit him square in the chest.
Calgary was the better team than Saskatchewan in my opinion despite losing only because Saskatchewan couldn't put the game out of reach

What kind of defense is Calgary playing, game after game!! A kind of man on man, zone defense!!?? Receivers wide open every time!!!
Been that way for two years. Can't stop the run either.Worst team in the league now.
