You're 57, & from what I gather, you've been in this rut for several years. At 57, you've got roughly *10-15 years* of decent life ahead of you.
So I'm going to be blunt. You can either decide to live a better life going forward, or maintain this level of unhappiness until the end.
If you want the former, you're going to have to make hard choices & implement them. Set a 6 month timeline & stick to it.
If it's the wife, then divorce & move on. You can't destroy your life because of children. And anyway they are fairly old already. Divorce, take a 3 or 4 month trip to SE Asia & make a long-term plan.
The alternative is continuing to moan on UA-cam.
    Good luck.

@jacqdanieles Exactly. He is lost in this victim mentality. He needs to divorce his wife and break free. She clearly doesn't respect him with his victim mentality. I recommended Richard Cooper to him, 'The Unplugged Alfa'. But I don't think this guy will listen and do the work involved to improve himself. Richard will give him the fatherly advice he needs. This man needs to learn to be mentally strong. Women don't respect weak men. He doesn't have
"Mental illness". He needs to grow a pair.

so, your sense of identity comes from work quite often.

The solicitor was Bulgarian. Red shorts! I turned up and no one was there. The family were skiiing. Can you imagine?
I had to say thanks but no thanks!
My other half was with her guitar tutor. I realised as she could play not a single tune!
I forgave her and we have two kids now. But I doubt she is in the gym for 10 hours a day.

I wouid encourage you to join a mans support group or one for depression etc. You couid use some support. Try microdosing for the depression and anxiety.

Hey Gerald, thank you for your content and for talking about things that most men struggle to due to the putting on a brave face and stiff upper lip approach. Hats off to you for showing the way forward to outwardly discussing difficult topics that many would keep to themselves and allow thoughts to fester and snowball internally accordingly. ❤ If I can have a little of your time I would like to share my thoughts. 🙂
So at the very heart of everything we approach in life is our "foundation of self" (how we perceive ourselves and our self-worth). These internalised thoughts are outwardly projected in our interactions with others. Here is my opinion of you if I may be so bold and please correct me if I am wrong. 🙂
    1) You are assured of yourself and as such you aren't intimidated by others, but perhaps due to various triggers you might be faster to take action than you would otherwise...
    2) You lacked siblings and best friends in those key developing years which set you back in social confidence and discovering more about yourself and your unique strengths and talents. There is also a knock-on effect here in that it also stunts someone's self-belief and natural development (but the good news is all of this can be healed/put right). 🙂
    3) You are a great Dad and husband, it's just situations faced have taken their toll and strain on communication and have been a over-riding and distracting force taking focus away from the love, values and joint visions you and your wife shared coming into your relationship and marriage. Knowing what that shared foundation was that made the pair of you invest in each other, might be all the knowing of how to rejoin those dots and heal together (just my thoughts and assuming this is something you feel worth pursuing).
With regards to mental well-being I think it can be broken down to self-assurance, self-belief and also self-awareness. Someone who possesses all three of these attributes should be strong and secure within themselves. They are able to stay strong in the face of adversity (just like you do Gerald), but beyond that they know they can count on themselves to dig themselves out of most holes, while also knowing what life opportunities fit their skill sets the best and are able to make the most of those opportunities accordingly. To know where one's unique strengths and talents lie is to know where to focus one's efforts to potentially bring the greatest of returns. There can be a slower road to much greater successes though and that is going through all manner of trials and tribulations, discovering the best approaches to overcome them, so they in turn can be the influence and educator that takes people out of struggling and suffering much quicker than they would if they tried on their own, and beyond that to know what matters is to potentially equip people so they don't have to face struggles to start with.
Also to understand what it is to struggle is also to have empathy, compassion, humility, understanding and the "listening" ear that is all the potential qualities that can "heal" others... Take present situations away and no doubt you will be amazed at how much you have learned and achieved already (the equipping of your off-spring with the skill sets and foundation of knowledge to stand on their own two-feet and be life ready is already a shining example)... Just my thoughts and to add openly sharing and discussing all that you do on your channel etc, encourages others to do the same which is already making a huge difference to many. 🙂

What's mine is mine is a thing for sure but in a healthy natriage there should be more give and take. But in a narcissistic relationship what's theirs is theirs until they want to bread crumb you. They do this by just giving you just enough to get by. Witholding money, love, sex, emotion, conversation and giving it in order to get something back. It's very deliberate. She has more. She could give you more. But that whole financial control is a way of doing exactly that - controlling you. Dont listen to the BS that she only has £100 she most likely has £1,000 but will watch you beg and suffer... because its her means of supply and entertainment. She knows exaclty the cost of things! I bet she knows how much things cost when she buys herself luxury items.
When you do ever get your own money save it and put it towards rent. And get the hell out of there and away from her. Do this for you!

Others only cook, so many crazy UA-camrs doing LIVE streams just walking around their own country showing people areas, talking to the locals as they walk around, show historical areas, simple stuff. They get the handheld equipment, a good phone, and that's about it to record walking around. People donate and get lots of followers it's rather amazing how much money they make. Good for thought

With that many dogs you should be getting dried food in bulk. Wilkos do a wide range. Try putting gravy with it. When youve got a fully stocked kitchen then go back to feeding them fresh . If they dont like dried just use as a filler to pad out leftovers. The frozen bags of chicken thighs are good value £ 4 for about 6 thighs

There’s nothing that clears your head more than going on an adventure that entails actually going somewhere far. Something that takes you away from your current circumstances and the constant negativity around you. Plan something for yourself. Whatever it is, trekking to Everest base camp, swimming with whales in Tahiti, taking a cruise to Antarctica, something out of the ordinary and do-able. Anything. You’ll meet good people along the way that will help you shift your mindset and frame of reality in a massive way. That’s what is needed, different way of seeing. Observing other ways of being. With that you’ll be pulled to make other necessary changes diet, exercise, knowledge-building, skill-building, etc. you’ll meet people naturally that will become friends. it will all come together. It all starts with getting out of where you are and away from the people you are currently around for a little while. Take a break from every one of them. Break the pattern.

With every new video I am building up a picture of you. It is an interesting journey. I worked as a carer with adults with autism, differing spectrums. You don't strike me as autistic. You have too much empathy, humour for a start. As for ADHD, don't most of us have some of it to some degree? Just a term bandied about to encompass wayward behaviour of some which take away from those that have full-on ADHD. Just for completeness on your last video I laughed out loud when you said you had a wheat sandwich, before correcting yourself. I am quite childish really. Talk about anything and add them please to your playlist. I play them sometimes when I am falling asleep. You have a very relaxing voice and it drowns out my tinnitus. Cheers Matt.

Sorry about your Tinnitus, I watch a vid about a bloke who did the carnivore diet and his tinnitus solely disappeared, unless it was a raw vegan diet, most likely carni, but diets have the ability to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, you can maybe look into that, Im glad you listen to me when you fall asleep, I must be entering your subconscious at night, hehe.

Tell your wife to buy GME stock. Its about to go up more than 500% in a short squeeze. Just make sure you sell when it starts to go down again. It wont stay up for long.

You're doing a very ADHD thing by overthinking that you might have loads of different mental health issues. I have been on numerous antidepressants for decades. Clinical depression. Now at 60 yrs young I've finally been diagnosed with ADHD and my psychiatrist wants me to be assessed for autism too. The medication for ADHD gives us the dopamine that's missing in our brains. I've done all the clean food and water only diet, all the supplements, giving up all the toxic substances etc, of course that helps with ADHD and autism. I used to do power walking, but can't now due to spinal issues. Just stop ruminating over all the stuff that will help to a degree, coz you won't get round to doing it. I really feel you should look into ADHD. ❤🍀🌻🌞✌️

    1) You'll soon look your best (you seem fine, but everyone can improve)
    2) You'll be full of endorphins and point 1 will generally feel happier and more confident.
    3) You'll sleep better.

Please dont give up mate, dont give up on your son also. Time heals, she may change her mind about you when she realizes how important both parents are, a boy NEEDS his Dad too, without a Dad a boy could potentially, not always become imbalanced. Write a letter to your wife or ex and explain that you love your son very much and would do nothing to hurt him, and that it would be good for him as a boy to have his own father in his life, give her the sweet talk even if you are angry with her, it may soften her heart a bit and then let her stew, she may think about it and let you see your son, also go to the law and get an amicable agreement to see your son regularly, once a lawyer is involved unless there is a serious reason they will allow you to see your son, and you can get legal aid for free. Good luck brother.
