@mentalcanvas great presentation! There are so many possibilities. In the past, engineers used to learn Art as part of their formal education. We've heard a lot about STEM. Some major manufacturers are beginning to value Art again and teaching Engineers about STEAM. 3D CAD may be great to design and assemble a complex product. Mental Canvas would appeal to those who are developing the concept and need to tell the story. Or, for those engineers who are trying to solve a problem of a product that is already in service. Wonderful technology!
Will try the free promo version and play around with some paintings I have done in Procreate and hope to see a one time purchase fee in future as the monthly fee is a bit steep for my budget.
How long does the free version last? Also for a visual artist like myself we would love a version like Clip studio paint where we pay a one-time fee of around 200$. Will that ever be possible?
We expect to continue the current version through the end of November. We will likely continue to offer a promotional version in some form for the foreseeable future. We offer subscriptions for our Pro users and we don't plan to offer one-time payments for the time being.

Hey guys any plans to add isometric views or a way to line up perpendicular planes?. I’ve tried a few projects with mental canvas but get stuck with lots of wonky planes ex: building walls not Lining up, tilted. Also any plans for drawing tools?. Line tool basic shapes and stroke smoothing?. Thanks 🙏
Hi, I was wondering the same thing re: perpendicular planes and not sure if this will solve your problem but I realized instead of starting from scratch, there are templates when you go to Scenes and then tap on "create a scene"; if you start with a cube template you could do parallel projection from whichever plane you want, to keep them all at right angles.
Are there any plans to increase export resolution? Love the app but the export quality is not high enough for me to use it in the way that I would like to 🙁
I tried to make this drawing, in your app, but since I only have the mouse and the computer, I couldn't even draw and I really wanted to be able to make this drawing effect, is there another way I can do it?

Uhm I have a question... Why is the Microsoft Windows version like waaaaaaaay worse? It doesn't even have an erase tool. Pls answer this question cause I haven't been able to find anything about it. It would be much appreciated if u guys atleast add an erase tool. Other than that I think I'll be fine. But just saying, the iOS version seems better and I'm in no position to just buy an iPad.
The Windows version does not lack any features in comparison to iOS and there is an eraser: typically with Windows pens, the eraser is on the opposite side of the stylus (like a pencil) or it’s a button on the side of the pen. If your pen does not have an eraser you can use the “E” key to toggle between drawing & erasing. You can always email us at support@mentalcanvas.com if you have questions.
How do you export a canvas from MC to Procreate? I'm wanting to rough out the 3D space to make sure it works but do the artwork in Procreate. Any help is appreciated.
You can take a screenshot of a canvas or export high res images of the bookmarks and import in Procreate. From Procreate, you can export the layers as PNGs and bring them into Mental Canvas

Hi David, we suggest watching the "Importing layers in Mental Canvas" video to learn more about the workflow from Procreate > Mental Canvas

how to delete bookmarks or layers? i can't find any button for that.
Hold down on the bookmark for a moment and you should see a pop-up appear with "delete"
