I dived in Maldives in 2019... one question that I made myself in every single dives was... where are the corals?... where are the beautiful colorful corals? Was heartbreaking...
Honestly, i had the same question when I dived. But My guess is the Corals near the islands are almost extinct. I guess very few islands can proudly say they have a coral reef.
@@AndWeTravel I did a 7 days liveaboard even far from the islands looks like a coral graveyard! I heard that islands in deep south are in a bit better conditions! I really hope that future provides some hope for the survival of our beautiful coral reefs... the most wonderful ecosystem in our planet!
