He is a true master. I have noticed that many of the imbalances he creates are using his feet or legs to unbalance, and trip the other person.

unless you practice practical method, you can not see the internal reasons for the unbaiancing....

@@rossandgaylemiller8241 what separates it from simply tripping the other person?

@@madogblue To make it simple...for one thing, there is compression (from internal adjustments) and you can see that there is a "bounce" or a "crumbling" in the reaction-outcome of the opponent. One is unlikely to see these characteristics from a simple tripping.

Right so what would a ju jitsu practioner call each of the moves shown above? Never seen any of those moves in a jujitsu curriculum

In my opinion it is not relevant at all, who would "finish" whom in a so called real fight. This teacher is showing fantastic biomechanical concepts, which are not really understood in a scientific way until now. For sure these methods and technics are useful in a fight, but maybe aswell in sports, or medicine.
If I would use a knife for fighting, still for example Mike Tyson could finish me in seconds. But does that mean knifes are totally useless weapons? (That does not mean of course, that Chen Zhonghua would loose against Xu xiadong. It is just irrelevant.)

@@andpeoplesayineedalife6418 Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/OvK_CXCEowY/v-deo.html . Here Sun Yang, a former sanda fighter who trained with Chen Zhonghua since 2016, applied standard taichi push hand grappling techniques in a Muay thai fight in Thailand, and it worked. I have lots of respect for Xu Xiaodong as a person, but there are also some successful professional fighters who extract some useful techniques from traditional martial arts and successfully incorporate them in their styles. A person with only traditional martial art training most likely cannot compete with a professional fighter. But many of the traditional techniques can still be extracted and applied in modern fighting.
