    Ingredients:
    1 cup Broken Wheat
    1 ½ tbsp Ghee
    1 Cinnamon stick
    2 Cloves
    2 tbsp Cashew Nut
    2 tbsp Almond Flakes
    2 tbsp Raisins
    2 ½ cups Water
    2 tbsp Milk
    1 ¼ cup Sugar
    ½ tsp Cardamom powder
    Method of preparation:
    In a pressure cooker, dry roast broken wheat for 2 minutes then remove it in a plate.
    Heat ghee in the same cooker, add cinnamon stick, cloves, roasted broken wheat, give it a stir.
    Add cashew nut, almond flakes, raisins, roast them for 30 secs and add water and milk.
    Once the water starts to boil add sugar, mix well and let it dissolve.
    Once the sugar dissolves, cover the lid and let it pressure cook on low flames.
    Turn off the flame and let it cool down for 10 minutes before you open it.
    Add cardamom powder, give it a mix and our Lapsi is ready.

    Thanks for the recipe. Tried today turned out yummy.
    Added half quantity of sugar & half quantity of jaggery powder.
    *Tip - Add jaggery while adding cardamom powder & put the lid on, let the jaggery powder melt in.

    Thank you so much. I tried your recipe today. The lapassi turned out absolutely delicious & it didn't take long to cook. The tip of adding cardamom at the end was a good one, we could actually taste it's flavour. My husband too was very happy with it.

    Add jaggary and souf it tested very yummy and flavor full. And always add luke warm water in lapsi that makes fada soft.

    I think hebbars kitchen version of this recipe is much better. She uses jaggery and adds the dry fruits at the end to retain their crunch. This looks yummy as well but i think that is a healthier option.

    Such cooked daliya in ghee is mixed with milk to eat. I can call it kheer only when cardamom is added at least.
    It is very easy to cook rice or this with measured water and then use it to mix sugar if rice and jaggery if is nice ingredient replaced in daliya goes well it is basic recipe.

    In north India we call it as Dalia or sweetened dalia.
    Lapsi is a diff dish from Haryana & Rajasthan.

      Lapsi is not a dish. It is another name for dalia. The channel should have clarified this instead of calling the dish itself lapsi. It's like making Suji halwa and calling the dish rawa 🙄

    Hi, I tried this recipe in low flame for 2 whistles .But I didn’t get a single
    Whistle till 1 hour and I finally switched it off. Lapsi was burnt at the bottom. Can you please suggest the cooking time ?

      Add warm water in lapsi while cooking warm water makes your lapsi soft and cooks faster.

    Lapsi is the name for broken wheat or dalia. So this recipe should be ideally called lapsi sheera or lapsi halwa, depending on language. Lapsi is used as substitute for rawa or suji
