@@kiranolan7104 OMG! Absolutely. I had a heavy heart that whole season. First with Jim making Brenda and Dylan break-up and sending her to Paris to keep them away from each other, then, with Kelly and Dylan betraying her. It was just horrible and way too much drama!
@@lnicole2504I totally agree. These episodes are unbearable. The lies, the betrayal, Jim, Kelly, Dylan all disgusting. I skip these episodes every single time
When guys verbally act like idiots towards their girlfriends, something is always up! All the alarm bells must be ringing for Brenda... Kelly behaves very strangely towards Brenda and Dylan is often distant and dismissive towards her... But we already know how it ends...
When Andrea asked "Have you guys undressed me in your mind?" and they started making those comments, I felt my skin crawl especially when Steve said "Does a burger come with that shake"? I would no longer be sitting with those guys again. GROSS.
She was asking if they found her attractive, and they let her know she was. It wasn't creepy or gross. They validated her feelings and bolstered her confidence. If they has told her they never did, then she would have been crushed thinking she was ugly.
It might be a hot take, but Andrea was totally asking if they found her attractive and he jumped right in to tell her they did, even if he didn't really mean it. It was sweet in it's own way.
...The writers at IT, Once again....making Kelly and Dylan (understandably) not interested in College (1:39), yet making Brenda nag about it...(2:48) only to make them look more 'unified', and have more in common....which, would make THEM a better Couple.... It's called conflict & drama. Without it, most shows would be a snooze fest. Furthermore. Brenda's nothing but an overbearing, controlling nag. Dylan can barely pop a squat without getting Brenda's approval first & she turns everything into either an argument or a crying jag. They can't go 5 minutes without her finding something to fly off the handle about.
@@kleeamd8274I agree. For years on soap opera they did that to power couples. The sparks would fly, they would get together, get married, and then the writers didn't know how to keep them interesting. So they threw in a conflict or broke them up.
@@blpalv15 EXACTLY!! It happened on Moonlighting, once the 2 romantic leads finally got together, the show failed as there was no more "will they or won't they?" sexual tension to add excitement. Very few shows survive once the romantic leads are allowed to be together & live happily ever after. It kills all the chemistry That's why fans of Gone With The Wind still are left begging for more. And when he walks out at the end, the viewer is left perpetually wondering: WILL THEY OR WON'T THEY?? If there's no "will they or won't they" involved, it's a snore.
Yeah, but remember in season four, Brenda is the one who lost interest in college, and it was she and Dylan that convinced each other to go, and Kelly became the nag about it. LOL There was always a twist.
Fun fact observation: Brenda knew almost every tool he needed to fix his bike… I think that was foreshadowing their relationship…. Only Brenda is the one who can fix Dylan
not mean, just honest. much as their sexual chemistry is off the charts, their characters are opposites (which is why their sexual chemistry is prob off the charts)! the 'good girl' with the 'bad boy' - tale as old as time
Yep. Kelly came over with tools asking is she ever going to get to ride his bike. After Brenda said she doesn’t like motorcycles. I liked Brenda and Dylan together. They made a cute couple and Brenda was my fave. But Dylan and Kelly deserved each other. Two soulless selfish Beverly Hills shallow people. Brenda deserved better, better friends…better brother.
Brenda/Dylan have a great relationship, probably the best in the entire series...but I'm glad they broke up. Particularly from Brenda's point of view. Brenda had a great last season, with her return from Minnesota, her hesitation to continue her studies, her job with her father, her escape with the super rich guy, the ransacking of the laboratory and especially the last intrigue with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Amidst all these adventures, Brenda's friends and her brother acted like assholes to her... except Dylan, who remained a loyal friend. Sometimes powerful things appear even better when they're absent, and that's what happens in season 4 with Brenda and Dylan: they're not a couple, but their bond is more powerful than ever.
The production did that on purpose, it was meant to keep the audience interested. They knew Shannen was living for good at the end of the season, by keeping Brenda and Dylan still a thing (although on different terms) until the very end, was a trick to keep the audience wondering if she would ever come back to be end game with Dylan, to keep them guessing.. it was a smart decoy to keep the most loved character, Brenda, in the audience’s collective mind wondering if she would ever come back despite the fact that she was gone

Brenda deserved a handsome intellectual and fun guy with goals, not a brooding “bad boy” who would cheat on her anyway.

He was, wasn't he? But in a kinda funny quirky way 😂
David and Steve were. The scene with David comparing notes with Steve was gross. Kelly should have been more pissed at them.
