Ok I'm new to this luke and Laura series. I didn't watch it when it first was on tv. I have to say when I first started watching it wow I was glued to the adventures and the growing love between Luke and Laura. Now as I'm watching this I'm saddened to what the writers have done. I wonder how many people back in the day got upset and wrote to GH and adventally stop watching it. I feel they made a wrong decision with this. I want to still thank-you for these videos and your time. I think I might take a break and hope it gets better with these two when I start watching again. Thanks again😊
There were some fairly good storylines with them up to about 2001 (?) I started watching in 78 months before they began their storyline, and I have to say, having watched it unfold in real time, I can't bring myself to watch much beyond the 84 stuff, l enjoy the episodes from 79 to 81 so much more beverage of the clear quality to it.
I hate what the recent writers have done to Luke. He was such a great, loving husband and father. Why would they turn him into what they turned him into??
Only one reason L&L didn't end up together and unfortunately that reason is Tony Geary. Hopefully when Genie Francis retires and leaves GH for good Laura finally does end up with Luke. I don't even need to see their reunion onscreen (cause I know it'll never happen) but it'd be nice to hear that L&L reconnected and are spending their remaining years together over in Europe.
The writing is all over the place. One year Luke is wondering if he "can do this" the house and family thing. Luke continues his friendship with dangerous criminals. His son gets shot in a crossfire, Laura kills a gangster who breaks into the house to get Luke. Then we get Luke the victim if Laura makes needed changes.
I love seeing Luke hold and talk to Lulu! They even use Lulu to provide that window into Luke's soul. Such a precious scene; I can't help but feel my heart breaking for Luke! Tough decision for Laura to have made when she does love him with all her heart.
Laura’s private logic is dictating her behavior. Her family, especially her children, come first because of her being switched at birth. That is the driving force behind her conduct in this situation. In fact, she may be embodying the problem inherent in private logic-that harm is caused even though you are following your conscience. But if you look at her perspective from a place of harm reduction, she thought Luke would be able to manage better than her children. She forgets that the Luke she fell in love with was also a damaged soul. He seemed to heal with her love and attention, but in his mind his hold on the security and assurance she gave was always fragile and tenuous because deep down he doesn’t feel worthy. Laura’s life almost always has had her have to make hard choices that result in someone she loves getting hurt. And she hurts with them. That’s another reason TV Guide dubbing her the tragic princess was so apt.
Lucky is really lucky (no pun intended) that he did not get his butt whooped!! If I talked to my mother that way, no matter how good my intentions were, I would not be here today commenting on this clip!!
wow! tony, Genie and Jonathan are amazing together! Poor Lucky's intentions are good, but I know that if I spoke to my mother the way he spoke to Laura, I would be in big trouble. Guess, he got lucky this time lol!
I understand but at the same time I would never kick a man and good husband like that out of my house if anything you work it out and keep going he’s a hot babe he has kept his family safe and that’s all that’ matters
That was a really hard one to watch - felt so sad for Luke, Lucky & Lulu - Laura is not sacrificing herself but the whole family - I didn't like the way Lucky spoke to her but agree with what he said -
Luke gave great advice to Stone and Robin! And come on Luke you know what you are talking about! You're right! :) Love the Luke and Lulu scene!! He love his daughter SO much! At 9:26 did Lulu say goodnight daddy? :) Luke: I can't seem to find my way home. :( That fits current Luke too! :( LUCKY! Watch your mouth! I love how Luke defends Laura! :) Shame on you Lucky! Shame on you!
I hate this PC garbage early 90's start of hating on the man get rid of him the problem. I wonder if Genie Francis has taken her husband's name. Never mind I looked it up she has taken Frakes as her last name Mrs. Frakes in private sector. You know many actresses do the same even JLO had taken her last husband's name I read an article after they divorced she changed her name back. I like Genie's real husband I noticed in interview he has a twinkle in his eyes he's really a sweet man. Her Twitter page she really loves her family she says she's a wife and mother I can tell that's the most important thing in her life and I find that endearing. I'm glad she has a happy family life and all her past struggles as a young actresses are behind her!

From what I have read in posts on Sussezq's channel about Luke claiming he never wanted to be a father living in a lovely home,I believe I just experienced an epiphany about his present day feelings, He misses the "just the two of us" adventure with Laura. He has lost Laura. To justify his plunge into loserdom, he insists he never wanted kids or a home. He is a great dad and husband in these clips...he needs Laura now to get him to be a wonderful granddad.
As a mother myself, and Luke lover, she is really pissing me off with her destruction of her family. A centered mom does not do that! Idk how much longer I can take this!
