Absolutely love this series, and the rest of the Late Brake Show's productions. Thanks fo rtaking time with the stories and showing as much of the collection as you reasonably could. There's a lot of viewers out there longing to have some of those cars but also just the space to acquire collections of their own. Seeing someone with a passion for one Make but still enjoying lots of others reminds me that there's still a long list of vehicles to acquire... just gotta work on the money, space, opportunity stuff! Thanks for so many treats in one video, loved the variety and learning more about cars that until now, I just admired casually without really discovering.

I visited a house for sale here in Piedmont, Italy and the elderly owner has a Panda Young in her garage covered up with 50,000km on it! It's like new. She''s promised to give me a price on Friday. It will be a great promotion car for my videos. Thanks this video - always great work, Jonny..!

This is probably my favourite UA-cam video of all time. I'm a genuine Panda fetishist. I live in the south of Italy, so I see Pandas like this every day. I've had all kinds of adventures in Panda 4x4s, been to villages where literally 70% of cars are Pandas (and another 15% are 126s), and I have a giant poster of a Panda on my bedroom wall.
I'd quite like to have a pint with this guy.

Many years ago, when I was in my early teens, my friends mum had a Panda 4x4, on an F plate. I remember once her dad had borrowed it, to go clay pigeon shooting. It ended up chucking it down all day, and when they went to leave at the end of the day, out of all the Range Rovers, Land Cruisers and Cherokees, etc, the owner of which had been less than polite about the odd little Fiat, when my friends dad turned up, that odd little Fiat was one of the only cars that didn't get stuck in the field they'd parked in, which had become a quagmire after all the rain. They were surprisingly capable vehicles off road.

When I was a child, we had a 128 3P in exactly that colour scheme. I loved it. It was superb, until the engine lost all its oil one day, made some unpleasant noises then deposited most of its bottom end behind us in a long line of metal fragments. That was the end of that. Shame. Marvellous scar. They make a great sound. Watching this brought back so many childhood memories. Thanks!

What a treat this was to watch. My Dad always had Fiats (127, 128, Strada, 131 Mirafiori, Uno, Tipo, Puntos) and I used to be so embarrassed being driven around as a kid. Then I had my own Panda at 17 and realised the appeal (apart from the baking tray doors and manual choke that I never mastered). I had a MK 2, baby blue, 1000 CL FIRE engine and remember feeling so superior to a mate that had a MK1 750CL with deckchairs in white just like Vernon's. Great production - thanks Jonny.

The yellow 128 3P was the last of the 128 series, carrying on from the 128 Coupe, which is what Enzo Ferrari used to drive around Modena in. A lot easier punting a small, nimble, zippy thing like the 128 Coupe around Modena's narrow streets than one of Enzo's big, wide GTs. It desperately needed a 5th gear; 5,000RPM at 120km/h in 4th gear is a bit too undergeared, even for a 1,290cc engine in a 900-odd kg car.

Fiat's occupied the first 12 years of my working life from 1977. Seeing the 850 sport coupe and 1283p brought back some happy memories. I worked in parts and can still remember stocking panels for the 3p. 4353521 and 2 for the doors and 4351331 rear panel......
Pandas were great cars but I never connected with them as much as 127s, 128s and 124s especially the 124 special T. That said, it was great to see such an enthusiast for a much derided marque.

In the 80s, bravely and adventurously crossing the Sahara in a County 110 on our way to Kenya, we came across a strange sight...WTF is that??? Turned out to be about 30 Pandas also crossing the Sahara on their way to Dakar if I remember!! PANDAS!! So we filched some goodies kindly donated from the ginormous truck accompanying them and drove quietly, humbly on..feeling not quite so adventurous...Great show Jonny. Love from NZ. One thing to be aware of is to be careful of the vinyl top. They tend to rust under the vinyl, especially if they sit outside. Covers don't help either.

I ran a FIAT 850 Berlina when I was at college in Bournemouth. Completely std. except for a big valve head - only about 40 BHP but on skinny crossplies on a greasy roundabout in the rain that was about 3 times the power required for completely sideways motoring :)

Some memories in that cave!! My first car that was actually road legal was an 850 Special - always wanted a Sport but never found one that wasn't utterly rotted away (and this was the late '70s), although I did put a Sport engine and interior into my Special :) I used to jump on the M1 at Junction 1 then nail the throttle to the floor and with luck, it would get me to junction 33 without having to lift. I still occasionally have odd, troubling dreams about working on or finding rotten 850 Sports.... Worked on loads of 128s, including the odd 3p but never owned one. Moved to 124 Sports after the 850 was sold on. Still have our '91 Westfield in the garage too :)

Great, great vid Jonny. So many fab memories. I went to work at a Fiat dealership in Somerset in the late 70's. I've driven and sold all the great 1970's and 1980's models from 126 to 130 saloon and Coupe. One of our mechanics, as a garage project to tow the 124 Spider rally car, converted a Transit mini bus 12 seater to take a 3.2l Fiat 130 V6 and 5 speed box. It went like stink, totally unique. I loved 127's with their fabulous 903cc engines that would rev to kingdom come. We used to have a rental operation and the fastest 127' s were ex- rental ones because they had been thrashed! Sold lots of 128 3P's and 124 Sports Coupes - 1400, 1600 and 1800 engined. The 1400 were the best looking. Took in some wonderful p/x models too as the dealer was also a Reliant Scimitar and AC (3000 ME) dealer.
So many wonderful memories in the days before accountants ran dealerships. Ours was run by a wonderful Welsh car enthusiast called Jonathan. Happy days, brought back to me by your wonderful video. More please JS.

I'm 41. From new, my mum used to have a factory squadron blue Panda 4x4, back when I was single-digits years old. We had fairly decent cars growing up, but I have fondest memories of the Panda.
    Fascinating stories, cheers! 😎👌

I had a 128 sport and a 124 sport , great cars, speed was only limited by the temperature gauge!

A fellow fiat fanatic. I learnt to drive in a 127 mk1. As of today, I've had a dozen, including the newer generation of panda, an 04 in yellow, obviously., and a panda 100hp. That car was a uk show car 2 months before the official launch. I bought it 2 weeks later, still before the launch date. Also had 2 abarth 500s. Looking at a newer 4x4 panda 🐼 at the moment. Only have one parking space, so only able to have one at a time.

A guy who did some contracting work at a company I used to work for had a 20v Fiat Coupe in yellow, such a brilliant little car.

That was a great watch, loved every minute of it.
My first car was a 1986, 5 door Fiat Uno 45 Fire - C706 FKN.
Bought it for £500, sold it two years later for a grand.
The only car I've ever made money on...😄

I worked in the local Fiat dealership in 1988, and used to get a lift to work from a colleague in his Panda Van - same shape as a normal Panda, but no rear seats or windows. Very basic, but somehow charming.

When I did my paper round in the early 80's, I delivered to a house with a Lotus Eclat on the driveway and a metallic blue S reg'd Fiat 128 3p across the road. The Fiat was the car I swooned over. I think that was the last one I saw, until today. Love this series. Love Vernon's cars👍👍👍

I was lucky enough to own an 850 sport coupe just like that one. Great little. I always wanted one and i didn't know why. I ended up coming across the ladybird book of cars i had when i was a kid and a red 850 featured in the book several times. Sublimely trained to find one. I believe they where penned by the same guy who did the amphicar and the karmann. You can see it in the boat like front end.

On my list of cars to buy a 4x4 Panda and a 2cv van. Every time I go on holiday I think about buying one and driving it back home. I may just do it one of these days. Great episode.👌🏻

I had a Fiat Panda as my first car back in 2001. It was all white with white bumpers & grill with the twin fabric sun roof. It was scrapped due to needing welding but now I wished I had saved it as I paid £150 for it at the time.

My Uncle had a Fiat Panda 4x4 (D295SMR) which he bought new. He used to pull a big American 7 berth folding caravan with it. A coleman Brandywine. It struggled with it, but he managed it. But I have always liked them. Would love one if one ever came up for the right price at the right time.

I'm sort of pleased the Panda is getting recognition. It was my first car, a 1987 Fiat Panda 1000. I bought it in 1996. It might even be in that garage! Because I have had some dreams over the years that it has been kept in a garage and I take it out and drive it. :D
