I tried out the burr finish on a tunnel ram i welded and ported for my big block 471 Mopar and had some amazing bsfc numbers, i attribute to the port finish.
bought a new 300-110 from Holley Performance on ebay yrs ago based on your recommendation and 383 build. Chevelle forum maybe? Have a fully ported 7530 on there now. Wonder what pros and cons are for using it Chad 383 healthy solid roller 230cc Conquest...only go about 290s/low 230s. Deep gears 6 spd stick 26 i tire 3200 lb A body. Finish work looks nice.
Mr. Speier have you had any experience with the Wiend Team G intake for a small block Chevy? What is your opinion on them? I enjoy your videos. I just wish you had longer videos but I'm sure you're busy grinding. Thank you Sir.
I’m curious on the amount of material removed from the dominator intake that was ported , the lack of surface area to seal the base of the carb/spacer. What are you doing to the base gasket ? What are you using for a gasket ? What’s the longevity on it before replacing?
@@SpeierRacingHeads I’m not trying to sound like a jerk, but I’m aware of silicone. I’ve been around. Please don’t take my being direct for rude. I want see how the person who prepped it , thinks is a suitable way to do it. So I’m looking for the pics and prep work done to get it to seal. I know we don’t know each other. I’ve been doing this a long time. I’m curious and want pics. I also want to know if they have issues with gasket failure. I would imagine most people use an abrasive roll to fit the excess material on the 4500 base gasket. Just want to see it. I use certain gaskets and have a process I do. Just comparing methods.
Chris, I am assuming you are categorizing these manifolds as "best" based upon drag racing use? My question is, for road racing, track use, or a street application, how much, if any would your choices change for a 350 to 400 ci engine? Oops and conversion to efi as well, if that even matters?
Would you do anything to it for the 3.0 heads chad you know I want the best for my engine so I want to know if my hulk 23 has to go to you for some tweaks or not
Good information Chad.
Nice work on the ported manifolds.
Thanks for sharing.
Take care, Ed.

That's pretty cool that hulk manifold does look huge

7530 on mine fully ported from runner to plenum entry. 383 solid roller
Good way to measure runners.

Silicone the spacer to the manifold and a gasket on top for the carb,

@@waikrujudovic you’re saying the guy that prepped it, as in ported it, how he’d want a person to seal it?

still comes down to desired RPM and engine size.

I would just make sure it matched.
that intake is gargantuan whats it going on?
What are your thoughts on the GM Bow Tie intake? Standard runner.
They are OK. I don't use many however.
Wish it came efi ready
