CCX Sports Spotlight: Dan Zrust

In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, Chaz Mootz profiles former Wayzata boys and girls swimming coach and current Wayzata High School site manager, Dan Zrust. For 34 years, Zrust was a teacher and swimming coach at Wayzata, but when he retired in 2008, he wanted to stay active in Trojan athletics. He then took on the role as a site manager where Zrust sets up, closes down, and make sure everything runs smooth at numerous Wayzata athletic events. In his spare time, Zrust also is an official for high school swim meets and travels the country as a professional drag racer.
