Not only did he claim to be an end time Elijiah, but made numerous predictions when Christ would return, of course none of them ever came to fruition. But of course, TW always gives him a pass.

Armstrong never claimed to be a Elijiah, nor did he try and predict a specific date of Christ's return, if that is the case please feel free to show your claims. It never happend. He always referred to Christ's return the same way this program does, and that is watch for the signs. He did predict the Berlin wall would fall, also predict the way nation's are acting today. But it has been well documented that Armstrong made several predictions of Christ's return in the early 70s. Just a comment on #3 Is a more accurate timing available with info provided by scripture? Maybe... Facts given: 1290 days after sacrifices end So by deduction they have to start first as stated in presentation. So now you know when after they end - but can you know when they end after they start? And if so, why doesn't the Bible give this reference point also? Or maybe it does? 🤔 Doesn't it say somewhere that Israel given permission by someone to make sacrifices for a 7 year period (presumably to renew the 'contract' after that) and then forcefully stops them after 3 1/2 yrs? (And if wrong - at least you do known the end once the stopping starts even if you don't know when the starting starts because you do known when it ends). That last part was a 😃 joke... The real irony of this presentation is that at 1:15, they completely left out Herbert W. Armstrong, the founder of this church and for whom all these TW teachings are based upon. Not only did he claim to be an end time Elijiah, but made numerous predictions when Christ would return, of course none of them ever came to fruition. But of course, TW always gives him a pass.
Everyone makes mistakes and none of us are perfect, the prophets, and disciples weren't but were obedient, so should we. We need to work on ourselves and not look at others mistakes
@@ttawhaki Yes I agree, but nobody should be setting dates on when Christ's return will be because no one knows except God. Do you know how many lives were ruined because of date setters? Selling all of their possessions because they were told by some self-professed prophets that Christ would return on such a date? So if they are truly obedient, then they must not blaspheme against the Lord and set dates!
Armstrong never claimed to be a Elijiah, nor did he try and predict a specific date of Christ's return, if that is the case please feel free to show your claims. It never happend. He always referred to Christ's return the same way this program does, and that is watch for the signs. He did predict the Berlin wall would fall, also predict the way nation's are acting today. I'd be more than happy to list websites that have documented Armstrong and his churches, but guaranteed my comments would be deleted. But don't believe me, reseach it for yourself.

I read books from biblical scholars and Christian apologists, I've watched documentaries, I have read testimonies from former members, and I research objective websites. I would list some of them here, but in the past when I have, my comments keep getting deleted. I don't know if it's because UA-cam doesn't allow web links to be posted, or this channel keeps deleting my posts. But it has been well documented that Armstrong made several predictions of Christ's return in the early 70s. He may not have given a specific date, but he did give timelines, all of which have now passed. But his church members rebut this argument by saying "everyone makes mistakes, he was not perfect." Yes, I agree no one is perfect, including me. But no one should be setting dates on Christ's return. Listen don't take my word for it. Do your own objective research.

So by deduction they have to start first as stated in presentation.
So now you know when after they end - but can you know when they end after they start? And if so, why doesn't the Bible give this reference point also? Or maybe it does? 🤔
Doesn't it say somewhere that Israel given permission by someone to make sacrifices for a 7 year period (presumably to renew the 'contract' after that) and then forcefully stops them after 3 1/2 yrs?
