Hi! Thanks for your video. We just got back from Aulani and the Lazy River was open until 8pm. It was great because our kids are older and by evening I think a lot of kids are back in their rooms, so the lazy river was definitely way less crowded! I wish the Lazy River were open even later! I agree -- I cannot believe a resort of this expense doesn't have room service. We arrived late and our son needed yogurt to take with his medicine. We couldn't get any so we had to scramble and get a Door Dash, which kept our poor kids up verrrrry late waiting for it. : ( Almost got someone else's Door Dash... McDonalds! Hey Disney...families NEED room service for many reasons!
Aloha! Glad to hear the lazy river was open until 8pm while you were there during the summer. Fingers crossed that they bring room service to the resort. Not ideal having to order using Door Dash.
Interesting to say that kids and crowds are part of the issue when you enjoy visiting Disney Parks. Food is expensive all over Hawaii and I found the food at the resort better than most places I ate out around the island. I do agree that things should stay open longer.
Thanks for watching and the comment! The resort was definitely designed with kids in mind. We wanted to inform people that are less familiar with the resort that if they’re expecting a quiet beach vacation (eg for their honeymoon), this may not be it. For some families, having lots of kids around may be a pro for their kids to play with others. We would definitely love to see an adult only pool in addition to the hot tub area in the future :)
@@pandytravels Hello there, You have some really good content on your UA-cam channel, from what I could see, however, none of your videos seem to be search engine optimized. 1. A very poor SEO score of zero (out of 100) 2. No title, description, or tag optimization is present. 3. A social networking site where sharing is forbidden. 4. A video performance score of 0 out of 50. I have decided to carry out keyword research for your video, find ranking tags for it, and optimize your SEO description and tags to help you obtain more views and subscribers. Please, could you take a look? I am pleased to be of assistance to a content producer with your level of expertise.
I agree with a lot of the things you pointed out, but we are Aulani lovers. We went in September 2021, and have been trying to go back ever since. We have kids so that's just part of our lives. We plan to go in September this year! Can wait to be on that beach eating my dole whip! We rented points for the "cheapest" room category, standard hotel room for 9 nights. Last time we spent so much on the view and weren't really in the room to enjoy it.
We just returned from our 4th visit to Aulani (3/17-24); our “kids” range from 19-26 and we are DVC members so the room cost (and parking) don’t really phase us. I agree that we would love the Waikolohe Stream to stay open later (it’s my happy place when I’m there) but it was actually open until 8 pm while we were there this time and the pools were open until 10 pm (Spring Break hours they said). We didn’t have too much trouble with waiting for elevators, just the occasional traffic jam but I’d say only 20% of the time. Otherwise, agree with quite a few of your comments, like the app is definitely not great. However, while food is expensive and you’re a captive audience, everything in Hawaii is expensive…. On one of our previous trips, we couldn’t get a reservation at Aulani for our entire stay, so we did a split stay with an AirBnB on the north shore - it was a great vacation - best of both worlds!
Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad to hear they extended the pool hours during Spring Break 😊. Renting an AirBnB on the North Shore sounds amazing and we’ll look into it next time we’re there!
Oh wow! I am DVC and used points there two times, right after Thanksgiving...resort was only 1/3 occupied, Never had a wait for elevators!I loved guessing the songs they played and finding the Menehune! I had a rental car and had gone to Costco and Target on way to check in, as they are also in Ko Olina, and saved a ton by cooking in Villa and on the grills out behind Ama Ama. I did lose a phone and camera on the beach when it was unattended, but otherwise had a blast :-) Anone can go to a DVC Broker and rent an Aulani villa for about 40% less than direct... Aloha!
We loved our stay as well & used DVC points (we are also DVC members!) We have two other videos - one on how to save at Aulani and the other is all the things we loved about it. We just wanted to give a balanced perspective. Thanks for watching and commenting!
We were too!!! 😱 just kidding. This is a video about drawbacks and we felt it important to mention there’s a lot of kids and nowhere to escape them! We really wish they would make an adult section (like they used to have) other than the hot tubs.
Don't think that the rooms were too expensive. My wife and I, and our adult child all loved staying there. It was our first stay there, but will definitely not be the last as it's our new favorite hotel in all of Hawaii. I do agree that they need to bring back room service a resort of this caliber needs to have that option.
Glad you found a new favourite hotel in Hawaii! If they don’t bring back room service maybe we’ll just order Uber Eats and pretend like it’s room service 😂

Great point! Similar to what we will do next time. And if you have kids it really is a perfect resort!!

Love your videos guys 🥹💜
I just got back from Aulani and the lazy river closed at 8pm and I believe main pool at 10pm
Thank you for sharing the pool hours during the Summer! Glad to hear they’re open later :)
Hope you enjoyed your time in Oahu!
We only paid $450 a night, so that minimum price rule isn’t strictly true
That’s a great price! Thanks for sharing and enjoy Aulani :)
Also where were the acai bowls? Ulu Cafe? Totally missed that!! : (
Yup at Ulu Cafe. They even make it right in front of you 😊
@@pandytravels I’ll just add this to the reasons I need to go back. 😆
Kids at a Disney Resort? I'm Shocked! Shocked I say :D

They probably got rid of it because of unsupervised childen
Could totally see that being the case!
Disney is too expensive.
Just skip Disney
I been getting Disney sucks now, videos all week 😂
