Katya's has an amputated leg story. A fan brought one (freeze dried) to her Meet and Greet, after having it amputated. She took a photo with it. Apparently you are allowed to take home human tissue in Canada.

Here's your bankruptcy lesson... There's more than one type. What we're mostly used to is bankruptcy = closing, but there's also a form of bankrupty that is a restructuring of the business, allowing the company to write off most debt and then change the way they do business while staying operational, possibly selling off part of the company, retooling, etc.

As a pale, pale girl, it always frustrates me when the lightest shade of a concealer or foundation is warm! I can get away with neutral, but I really need a pink, dammit! Thank you for the validation!

"Crochet that on a mother f*king pillow." Please say it louder for the folks in the back. As the pastiest shade of pale, I'm beyond tired of the palest shades being warm. Why? For whom? It just makes it so much harder for those of us who are not experts to figure out.
Chiming in as a very pale lady (.5 to 1 shade above alabaster). I'm a neutral warm. I have such a tough time finding foundations that *aren't* cool toned. Sadly they make me look like the walking dead - and not in a pretty way. But I also get frustrated when neutral/warm shades are automatically YELLOW. As with most things, there needs to be an inclusive range available for all the undertones and for all the melanin levels from super light to super deep.
....but I'll still take that crocheted pillow! ❤

i-mmm maybe it's b|c i'm a Black woman who is always disappointed w| shade ranges that include 50 shades of pink, no darker nudes//deep reds, but...i completely understand why Milani, a WoC-centered//inclusive brand would release a shade range w| mostly reds + reddish browns.
i'd buy every one of those shades EXCEPT the pink, which i think would look ridiculous on me. LOL
my only problem is gonna be narrowing it down, trying to figure out which one or two to get.

MA’AM!! When beauty brands started coming out with “Lunar New Year” products, as an Asian, I was ANNOYED. Like?!?! Like how many other minority cultures… why are we always profiting off minority culture? USE YOUR OWN BRAIN!!
Although I'm part Asian from a country that doesn't celebrate the lunar new year, I'm also over the new releases each year. It's always a gold highlighter and red lipsticks 🥱 If the company's feeling particularly ~exotic~ they might even put the year's Chinese zodiac animal on the overspray or packaging too! Yawn city every year.

I feel like the lack of grunge colors in lip stains is crazy
A black lip stain would have my money so fast.
A black stain is hard to make. If it has any undertone, it won't stain pure black, it'll be a dark red or brown or grey. Plus the stain are usually sheer so your lip colour shows through.
I follow an indie brand called Nekoyanin on IG/YT who are trying to make a black lip stain (just in case you wanna see if they do it)

Revlon probably filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. It's essentially "reorganization" bankruptcy. Revlon will still own the company and remain in business.

Re: the Revlon comments about bankruptcy, there are different types of bankruptcy that companies can file for and the two most common ones don't result in complete dissolution of the company. I could be wrong but I believe Revlon filed for the "reorganization" chapter 11 type of bankruptcy that basically means they work with creditors to reorganize their debts and come up with payment plans to pay over time to save the business from going under. Just for reference in case you're wondering 😊 love you both!

With the color fetish matte lipsticks in the fall/winter they released bold, berries, red & brown then in the spring they released a shade extension of nudes. Maybe have been vice versa with which released first but still. Those milani stains look pretty, hadn’t seen them yet.

I think with the YSL shades, they leave spaces for additional shades that they've already formulated but they are only doing a minimal initial range. it's the only thing i can think of that make any sense
