I'm two days away from going into my first time double clutching in a truck. The Day 1 and Day 2 videos of this particular student has helped me out a TON, with the anxiety of looking stupid behind the wheel at the age of 53 (I know, pretty late to start a trucking career - I got laid off, so used the time off for a career change).... Watching somebody else do it wrong, then succeed with the right instructor, has been a big help.
Watching this brings back some old memories. It took me a while to get the hang of shifting. I drove all manual trans cars, but trucks are a different animal. He will get it
The Adams Family song beat for double clutching, heel on the floor, and watch him finally get it all gave me hope today. I’m currently a package driver for UPS but am trying to go freight. I will be training soon. 🙏🙏🙏. Thank you so much for sharing!
You mean feeders? You'll be good. You'll prob train on a manual, but most of the fleet have been turned into automatic. Good luck. I'm doing the same.. 14 feeder drivers are retiring this year. :)
Oh man thanks for these videos I got my cdl 4 months ago it was so hard finding a job with a car accident on my record not otr and only job that would get me is a manual and I felt like I forgot what I learned in my cdl class this brought back memories and helpful information and a refresher on how to drive a manual semi truck
So I thought that Eaton-fuller upgraded their gearboxes to include something called syncromesh. And that feature means that double-clutching is no longer necessary. And that syncromesh has been standardized in their gearboxes since the 90s. Am I wrong?
thats just like myself on my 1st drive lesson.....and 2nd..lol...but after waching your video , on my 3rd drive today, i was really better at shifting, even my teacher said he noticed the improvement...THANKS
Ask Eaton or any transmissions maker. The trans was made to be double clutch I know guys hate it but that is the way they made it.I replaced two of them know them well.My Pete Go 526,000 before a new clutch Volvo sucked barely got 400k
Hes dong pretty good hes doing slot better then he was and he has a habit of letting go of the shifter lol but he will get it all down packed real soon I know he will and once he gets his CDL I know hes gonna be tickled pink about it and as always keep up the great work stay safe out there and God bless and see yall next video brother
Hey junior I'm from California my dad is a truck driver so the way I learned to drive is floating gears but I'm in the process of getting my CDL do you think I have to learn double clutch for my road test ?
First time I seen your Vid on part 1 of his fist day and I have to say…. You are a good teacher, you have lots of patience. He’s getting it. I can’t wait to start learning and Hopefully I get it on the first day because the school i will be attending only gives you one day and if you can’t get it they put you on Automatic. Sucks! Good Luck and Safe Driving.
Brother I am from India do you teach driving then brother we have to learn driving brother you have liked us very much. Looking for a friend who's like you, brother, I didn't share it with anyone, but I'm telling you

David Noel it’s better for him to train them and give them an idea before moving with a load that way he makes them run and he’s more confident on him and his driver that they can run as a team
I don’t get why you are using the clutch at all when you are shifting. Everyone I know only uses the clutch to stop and start then float all the gears once the truck is moving. I never use the clutch to shift once the truck is moving. I never saw your style before
Because they are required to for training and testing purposes. It's technically not even required to use the clutch to change gear in a car either or a synchro truck but it's still highly recommended
How much Coke does this instructor do before testing all drivers. All he does is sniff done all the coke he has in his nose while he is instructing. Instead of testing the drivers drug test the instructor first.

@@backrack01 btw I made it. I’ve actually been doing sleeper for few months now. Going feeders was the best decision I ever made. ✊

I feel like manual is the hardest thing to learn 😭 how long did it take you to study?
Congrats we as drivers all been there he's doing a great job
Junior you're a great trainer brother!
interesting to see what goes on inside the cab while on the road
Wow, that was quick, for the second day
Everyone with clutching experience usually goes a little deep in the clutch at first. Cannot tell if the simulator picks that up. He looks great!
So I thought that Eaton-fuller upgraded their gearboxes to include something called syncromesh. And that feature means that double-clutching is no longer necessary. And that syncromesh has been standardized in their gearboxes since the 90s. Am I wrong?
Nice teacher all about patience 👍 right now I learned all his shifting
Thanks alot. I was trouble with down shifting thank for uploading this video
thats just like myself on my 1st drive lesson.....and 2nd..lol...but after waching your video , on my 3rd drive today, i was really better at shifting, even my teacher said he noticed the improvement...THANKS
He’s going to be real happy when he gets that CDL License I’ll tell ya that much 💪🏾✌️
it's all about rhythm....once you get that rhythm it starts to fall into place
Jr is a master teacher.
I'm a recent graduate was trained in a manual and plan on joining prime
how about starting out with a b model mack shifting duplex
How similiar is the simulator to driving an actual truck?
This truck has a non synchro gearbox right?
Love your vids mr junior I think this the fastest learning student to ever be on your channel.
Btw how is Steven? Did he finish?
No he didn't there's a video on why he got sent home.

Jr. Do you have the trailer hooked up while he is practicing his shifting?
It’ll fall into place like butter 😂

Is it true, that you can break a drive shaft by letting the clutch out too fast on lower gears?
Why does he say double clutching is for testing purposes everytime?
To get your CDL license at DMV you must do double clutching .🙂
Hey junior I'm from California my dad is a truck driver so the way I learned to drive is floating gears but I'm in the process of getting my CDL do you think I have to learn double clutch for my road test ?
Daniel Aguayo answer for that is....... yes
Daniel Aguayo I just recently took my test I only clutched to get out of gear and still passed
@@pete388 thanks for the info
You don't have to.. Im in indiana though.. They point you everytime grind while floating
In all the companys in US the doble clutch is recuired?
How can someone in qatar join your training
Great job sir...I think you are a good coach..keep safe always I'm your new subscriber and aspiring trailer truck driver from the Philippines..
Want to know if he got his Ls or if there’s more videos on him Improving

No disrespect just wondering. How do you make any money hanging around the Terminal training people for the test?

Yeah same. I think in training they are forced to teach it this way
Because they are required to for training and testing purposes. It's technically not even required to use the clutch to change gear in a car either or a synchro truck but it's still highly recommended
"smooth" like buttah... Lmao
its all memory muscle
He needs to look at the gauges not just look a the road a head.
haha can he tell him pretend its your car to make him relax even thou its not the same
Yes that is very true. Thank you for watching 👍🏽
Awww shit junior back with the students this what I like to see
Impressive
Saca muy rapido el cloch por eso golpea
You think you can teach me with a cdl permit I'm from Texas this is my wife's face
Us automatic restricted folk looking like😐
Herbert Scott 😆
I get in an auto and I'm always feeling for the clutch and sometimes hit the brake pedal with both feet
Why the hell are they still teaching people to double clutch when it literally does nothing?
YOUR LOKETION TOO FAR SIR I LIKE YOUR VIDEO
when you finish simulation but still don't know shit in a real truck,... that tells you something about simulation....
Hola Junior. Te envié un mensaje a tu correo.
