Scammers are not just from other countries they also call from here in the US. I got a scam call from a lady trying to get money for breast cancer. She had called several times before. This time I told her my husband had just passed away (which was true), and I was weeping. To my surprise she said she was sorry to hear that and said she would not call any more and had admitted it was a scam. Lin
Oh no. I usually read through these because we've all had these calls and this is a little place to share the exasperation safely and to laugh at it. But that is just tragic - I am so sorry for your loss, and even more so that you had to deal with this at such a terrible time. It really brings home the pain these scumbags cause. My condolences, and I wish you well.
