Daaaaamn, girl! That's one big honkin' watch. More beautiful shots, Marie. And the landscape is nice to look at as well. I thought about you on baseball opening day as the St Louis Cardinals hall-of-fame players arrived at Busch Stadium riding in Ford Mustangs. I'm sure it's on UA-cam. Anyway, the binding on the brim of a hat is supposed to be solid in the front and has a seam at the back. Also, if the hat has a sweat band, it will be seamed at the back as well. I see people wearing their hats backward all the time. But that's okay, because it's their hat and they can wear them as they see fit. Your hat looks fine. ❤
Greetings from Arizona! So glad you love our state. The bird you saw as not a partridge, it was a Quail. I think it was a Scaled Quail, but I'm not too sure. I love seeing them and their little ones scurrying through the desert in the spring!
I love the way you treated tasting that Dairy Queen Blizzard for the first time. You appeared to use all of your senses to "experience" all that it is. We Americans can learn a lot from you!
The look on your face as you enjoyed your first treat from DQ was priceless! Your videos are fantastic, thank you for sharing them. The cowgirl hat looks great on you as well. Take care.
I think when you're exploring America, one state at a time is the way to go. I like that you are doing more in-depth exploration in a single area than most visitors. Most people try to see more than is possible in the time they have. You're seeing deeper into local sights than most tourists. Lovin it.
Your cowgirl hat looks really good. Great choice. Beautiful videos of the lake and sunset. I'm so glad you are enjoying your visit. Can't wait to see more videos. You are awesome. 😊
Excellent show. America has such an amazing diversity of landscapes that a nature lover like you will be in outdoor heaven. You keep posting and I'll keep watching.
What a lovely video, Marie! I'm wonderfully pleased you were able to enjoy yourself in Arizona. Best wishes to you for the rest of your US stay and safe (comfortable) travels when you must return home. Take good care! 💜
Man I love the AZ video's. Each one shows places I've been that have some meaning to me. I spent a fair amount of time at Lake Pleasant and a place near there, gone now, that was called Wild Horse West. Thanks for freshening up the memories, Marie.
Hi Marie!!! I just love this video of Arizona! I have been there so many times for tennis tournaments, visiting my sister, and driving through, you brought all my memories back to me - THANK YOU! I loved your starting bagel, lol, and Frontier Town in Cave Creek! Cool place with "Knock Em Dead in Jennifer's Web" 🤣🤣🤗! That cemetery sign - . . . we hung him . . . was Classic 😂! So many things to see here, like leather steers, that unbelievably expensive but grand shop with hats and clothes and everything, even a gorgeous saddle! That French Restaurant Sans Souci looked like you may have like it - the menu was cool (even with the mistakes you were able to fine ) 😊. WOW, what a beautiful red muscle car out front Marie! There were so very many shops you passed, you could shop for weeks there and not see everything I think 😲😲❗ Scorpions - reminded me when my brother's scorpions got loose and we found them all over the house, and even in the overhead light fixtures!! I like the Just Over The Top JUTT 😍on the vest! You found such HUGE Saguaros! There was so much varied artwork, like the metal ants and donkeys, wind wheels, metal chess, a $28,000 stone carving of gila monsters and lizards 😮 - wow!! I loved the blackbirds you saw. Oh my, those property prices were really high for 2.5 acres at $250K and 0.5 acres at $325K. Ranch land around the hill country here goes around $50K for 5-10 acres, with utilities, but the land was beautiful (wish I had acreage like that )❣ Oh, cute bunny and that walking bird was cute too. You did it, you found a red Mustang in this one 🤗🤗! Yes, desert landscaping is popular in El Paso too, where we got 6 inches of rain per year. OH WOW, your beautiful new cowboy hat on lovely Marie - it looks sooooo good on you 😇❤❤. I love that name, Carefree, Arizona, lol. (P.S. I need sunscreen constantly or I burn to a crisp 😮😎!!! That lake was so pretty Marie, and you looked so happy and smiling and angelic in your hat with the lake behind you 💕😇💗. And what a gorgeous sunset you showed us - so fitting for the desert! And star gazing is so amazing in desert areas, with so many stars, shooting stars, and you even saw satellites - Marie, that was such a wonderful experience for you!!! I just love that for you ❣ Thank you so much for this amazing, fun, beautiful, lovely video of you enjoying the Arizona desert and beautiful skies and wildlife and lakes and everything! You do such artful and amazing videos Marie - no one can do better! Thank you again, and please take care Marie 💕🤗🥰🥰💗!
Lookin' just like a cowgirl, Marie. i think the South West suits you. There are places out that way (I'm not sure around Phoenix) that seemed so mystical the native tribes considered them very sacred. If you remember the Road Runner cartoons as a kid, Chaparral birds are abundant around there. They are extremely speedy (for their size) when running on the ground. When they are feeding, it can be a little brutal to watch them kill a poisonous snake (won't go into details) but it is a part of nature. And they will sometimes dart out on the road while you are driving.
So glad you're having a good time . Like the hat a lot . Matches your your complexion , hair , and eyes perfectly . Beautiful scenery and a good treat at Dairy Queen . Perfect video .
Howdy french fry 🤠 Liking the new beach 🌊 banner 👌 That's a cool cowgal hat , it suits you just what's called for with the raising temps, there's sunflower feathers & suchlike you might like to add to. There's so much to see & shop for, I liked the frontier theme feeling with everything even know it's more for the tourists, there was some nice lamps & I've always wanted to wear one of those western scarfs & just because your a Scorpio doesn't mean you would want one of those suckers argh yucky. I'm pleased y'all came across a french restaurant, I've been wondering how popular they were there & if there's that many expats in Arizona, the good news is there is & actively keeping the french language & culture alive , I'll include the details if your interested in doing any interviews. Cave creek sure had it's fair share of interesting crafts , the dinosaurs🦖 , stone lizards chessman & the Griffen one of my favourites as a kid were all well made , I've never used a stone bath but taking one outside with a drink after a hot day like colt seavers I've always wanted to do. You make that Dairy queen blizzard look so yummy 😋 there having a birthday (1985) so if you want another it's only 85¢ with the app , with some new flavours like peanut butter chow & returning ones s' mores , cotton candy & choco dipped strawberry, I'll also give it a go if they had it over here, but not sure about the chocolate having found out more about what's involved with the bugs & child labour, can't you enjoy anything anymore. Last but not least, going to lake pleasant definitely was , so tranquil felt like a special moment I'm happy you shared it with us , looks so beautiful for a picnic before watching the sunset & doing some waterskiing to. It's funny hee haw coming across wild donkeys 🐴 wondering around like that , there's the famous town of oatman that's full of them. I live in North Carolina and have been to AZ once. We spent the night in Flagstaff and from there we drove up Highway 89 into St. George, Utah. We stopped at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and we stopped at the Navajo Bridge at Marbel Canyon. Very beautiful drive. We've also been to France, Marie. Two years ago we spent four days in Normandy seeing all the D Day Beaches and sites, then we took the train from Caen to Paris and were there for three days. It was a fun time. All the French people were so nice to us.
The bird with the “top knot” walking around near the 5 minute point is a Gambel’s quail not a partridge. Quail are small birds which mostly populate the South and West. Others include blue quail, scaled quail, Montezuma or Mearn’s quail, and bobwhite quail.
A relative, the California Quail (or Valley) is the State Bird of Calif. They can all fly a little bit. The most fun is to see their young... 4 or more... running in a line behind the momma quail. Miniature versions of the adults!
You're absolutely right about the beautiful scenery. One of my favorite areas to travel on a road trip is the "Four Corners" region (where Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico intersect). So much beautiful scenery and incredible "red rock" geological formations. If you loved Arizona, I think southern Utah might just blow your mind. Also, as others have pointed out, the mystery bird was a Quail.
+1 Kids (of all ages) have great fun putting hands and feet in four states at once! The only such place in the US. As a specific part of Bill Godwin-Austen's "red rocks...and Utah" recommendation, on the way to/from Four Corners (from Flagstaff/Phoenix) don't miss Monument Valley which straddles AZ and Utah! Probably a close 2nd to (or even tie with) the Grand Canyon as an internationally famous icon of the American Southwest. Marie, I hope to see these in your upcoming videos,...but if you missed it just means you'll have to come back - soon! A Southern Colorado-Utah (and remaining parts of N. AZ you've missed) tour would make a great early autumn trip all by itself...along with a summer Pacific Northwest trip others have suggested!
@@springertube I'll second that! Monument Valley is spectacular. Some years ago we camped at Goulding's (a hotel/lodge/campsite) overlooking Monument Valley. Waking up to watch the sunrise over Monument Valley is the perfect way to start the day.
Wild donkeys! Now how cool is that! I bet the sky does look amazing at night in the Arizona desert. What an experience that must've been. Must also feel so cool and refreshing after a hot a day under the sun. 🌞 🌵 🤠
Bon jour sweet Marie, another great video Merci beaucoup. Sweetie, now that you've been to Dairy Queen, you are now officially an American. You look adorable in your cowgirl hat.
It's always great to see the 'big' attractions in a country you've never been before, but to actually _connect_ in some way to that country, and have it hit your heart, is what makes traveling special (Niagra Falls in your first visit). This is what's making this trip so much fun to watch! Oh, nice hat 🤠
Lovely video Marie! You look more relaxed and comfortable driving now! Arizona is very beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos from your trip. 🙂
Bonjour Marie! DQ Blizzards are my Mom's favorite treat. I know you're a Mustang gal, but that style Corvette just looks incredible! When you showed the sunset it reminded me of the song Little Fluffy Clouds by The Orb from 1991 where they took an interview with singer Rickie Lee Jones and she described the sunsets in Arizona as "purple, and red, and yellow, and on fire, and the clouds would catch the colors everywhere," and they turned it into a techno song. Based on your video, she wasn't wrong. Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed
It's so awesome that you're having a fantastic trip to Arizona and discovering all sorts of interesting things. The cowboy hat suits you well and I hope you wear it often. It'll help keep the sun off of you. I hope while you're there you're going to be able to get out on the water and see the desert from a boat. There's something magical about it. I'm also happy you knew what a SpaceX satellite train was. I've only gotten to see them a few times and they're always cool to see. Keep up the great videos Marie! We're all rooting for you!
Hello Miss Arizona cowgirl!. Greetings from South Florida ( which I hope you will get to visit someday.) I think the majority of visitors to this country visit other well known and beautiful areas, but never see the magnificent beauty and grandeur of the Southwest like you are seeing now. I’m so happy for you that you are seeing and appreciating what you are seeing. Your excellently done video has more than done justice to the beauty of Arizona. The plants, animals , and scenery you’ve shown here really make this area come alive for those of us watching this. My son lives in Austin Texas, when I visit him, we will rent a car, and head north through Texas and Arizona doing what you’re doing now, so this video has inspired me to do that. Thank you for that. By the way , your choice of Cowgirl hat was perfect!!👍. Can’t wait to continue this great video excursion!!😎👍👍👍
My God you make the best videos Marie. They are truly a work of art. Thank you so much. I am so happy to be a patron. I wouldn't want to miss any of this beautiful content. ♥♥♥
Hello Miss Marie !!! I Am happy to see you Enjoying the Wildlife & Applying that Sun screen , Still the next Good thing is you need is A Great pair of Shades to protect those eyes !!! Like Button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁👍👍🌞
Great video Marie! So colorful, such fun sculptures and beautiful scenery! Wild Burros?? Amazing! I visited Phoenix once and I recall it was how I would imagine walking on the sun would be - I'm glad you picked a time to visit when the weather was so lovely. Great video! I look forward to seeing the next! Be well!!! :0) 🐺
You look so energized, and your face is gonna be aching because of you;re smiling so much ! It suites you well. You going to try a little gold mining?? what about the night time desert serenades by the coyotes? you should record it on your phone. Have fun!!
I'm not real familiar with French food. The last time I went to a French restaurant, the thing I remember is that I couldn't believe how good the mushroom risotto was.
You are making me tear up. I live in cavecreek north phoenix area all my life and I have been all over the country. Arizona is a very special beautiful place nothing like it anywhere.i am truly blessed to live here. Wanted send a big wave from Arizona 👋🤠
Your 1st trip to the east coast was nice, but the west suits you best. You look so relaxed out there. So when are you planting roots in the States?...haha. Check out the 4 corners in north east Arizona. It's where Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico meet. You can literally be in all 4 States at once...haha. Great video, Marie and I love your new cowgirl hat.
It is incredibly beautiful here this time of year but come back in mid June for a different experience!! It will be just a bit warmer and the green and flowers will have disappeared. Also the temperature will be approaching 120°F or 50 degrees for you!!! Then in mid-july our monsoon starts & you will have dust storms, thunder and lightning and sometimes incredibly heavy rain 🌧️.... Really enjoy watching you experience Arizona kind of like I did when I was a kid in the early 1960s!!! Most of Arizona was still wilderness back then and Phoenix only had 325,000 people!! Towns like Phoenix and Glendale were separated by desert and dirt roads! It's still beautiful for the most part but it sure was a paradise back then!!!!
Beautiful trip! I’m guessing that after your home and planning your next trip it will be to the Northwest in the Summertime! Just a guess, but wherever it is it will be another beautiful trip. 🇫🇷🇺🇸🌄🏞
Hi Marie! I've been watching your Arizona videos and they're making me a bit homesick. AZ is not really my home, but I lived there for nearly 20 years. You definitely chose the perfect season to visit.
@@todradmaker4297 It depends on what you like. Alaska has mountains, forests, oceans and rivers, snow and ice. The desert southwest has colors that Alaska doesn't come close to, iconic cactus, canyons, amazing landforms, and mountains. They are both beautiful, but in different ways.
Great hat! Very complimentary for you. Almost impossible to find good baguettes in most locales in U.S. - sometimes in specialty bakeries in the bigger cities.
In 1999, I finally found the right hat for me. It's a 4 fur Stetson with a flat crown and 3 inch brim. The color was called "silver belly". But since I've worn it almost every day since then, it's more like dirty tan now. lol I figured that since I spent so much on it, I'd better get my money's worth. So if I go out the door, it's on my head no matter the weather. I figure that even for all that abuse, It'll still out-last me. Edit: I looked it up and it's apparently called a "pinched front".
I am glad to see your going to the west side of the United States. It seems a lot of UA-camrs stay on the East Coast of the United States. I'm very glad you're in Arizona because that is my state. I hope you like it?
Are you here long enough to paddle board the Salt River…when the water temperature warms up? If so, definitely do it. The wild horses in/around the river are amazing.
Great video. Thanks Marie. I liked the hat you chose. Beautiful views, but as you said, even better in person. The sunset was super cool. I'm curious, if you know, the name of the lake where you were? Glad you got to try the great and classic Dairy Queen! And I loved when you came across some French places -- the restaurant and the cheeses. Loved when you pointed out the errors in French that they made. Hopefully they will hear and correct them. Happy for you that you are seeing such a new landscape. Great soundtrack choices too - thanks for that. The night sky....now I want to see it out there....
I can hardly wait to see your reaction to the Grand Canyon!
Love the cowgirl hat. It looks great on you! Wear it with pride cowgirl!!
The bird that wasn't flying was a Gambel's quail, common all over the Sonoran Desert.
Sorry I repeated your comment. Peace, Love!!

Lovely video Marie! You look more relaxed and comfortable driving now! Arizona is very beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos from your trip. 🙂
Greatest state in the union. Love our state 48.
Glad to see you having so much fun. Hello from Colorado. It just snowed again yesterday.
The sky out west is amazing....especially in the desert. Hope you get to the Grand Canyon too, that's amazing also.
Beautiful sunset 🌇
I'm amazed at how you're always able to get such great shots. The video from the lake was absolutely beautiful. Well done, Marie.
Beautiful photo work. You look great in a Cowgirl hat, very cool. Glad you are having fun.
My God you make the best videos Marie. They are truly a work of art. Thank you so much. I am so happy to be a patron. I wouldn't want to miss any of this beautiful content. ♥♥♥
Great video thanks for posting. I am glad you got to see wild Burro , that is definitely something most Americans will never even get to see.
Hello Miss Marie !!! I Am happy to see you Enjoying the Wildlife & Applying that Sun screen , Still the next Good thing is you need is A Great pair of Shades to protect those eyes !!! Like Button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁👍👍🌞
I does my heart good to see you having such a good time exploring.
I look forward to you sharing your next adventure.
Be well!!! :0) 🐺
Great job. Perfect hat.
I saw the string of satellites once, it was awesome.
So glad you found your perfect cowgirl hat. That lake and the sunset looked so beautiful. I love this video and so glad you had a good time.🏜
I think that's a Gamble's Quail (the bird that's not flying).
You look so energized, and your face is gonna be aching because of you;re smiling so much ! It suites you well. You going to try a little gold mining?? what about the night time desert serenades by the coyotes? you should record it on your phone. Have fun!!
Marie, once again, it warms my heart to see you enjoying and appreciating my home state! ❤
Makes me want to go to Arizona.
Greetings from AZ! October through May is the best time to come. We'd love to have you visit!
@@Stephanie-ik1vq Awesome Thanks!
Those scorpion lollipops are actually pretty good 👍🏼
I'm not real familiar with French food. The last time I went to a French restaurant, the thing I remember is that I couldn't believe how good the mushroom risotto was.
Truly an amazing video. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait for the next video. Perfect hat for you.
I used to live inTucson, your video makes me want to go back.
I absolutely love your vivid descriptions of the experiences that you are having. Great video Miss Marie.🙃
I love the Donkey !!!
You are making me tear up. I live in cavecreek north phoenix area all my life
and I have been all over the country.
Have fun.
The first bird, the black one, is a male grackle. The females are brownish. The second is a Gambel’s Quail
Arizona is beautiful and so is New Mexico. We honeymooned in Alaska. Oh, I hope you get a chance to see that state! You look great in cowgirl hat.
Alaska has to be the most beautiful state by far in my opinion; a must see and experience.
So glad to see you enjoying my state! Lake Pleasant is one of my favorite places nearby Phoenix to visit.
That’s a good hat 👍
I agree with your hat selection! The first batch was too flashy. This one is more down to earth.
Cheers from East Tennessee!
Great hat! Very complimentary for you.
Almost impossible to find good baguettes in most locales in U.S. - sometimes in specialty bakeries in the bigger cities.
I’m constantly searching for THE right hat, I know how hard it is to pick just one
In 1999, I finally found the right hat for me. It's a 4 fur Stetson with a flat crown and 3 inch brim. The color was called "silver belly".
But since I've worn it almost every day since then, it's more like dirty tan now. lol
I figured that since I spent so much on it, I'd better get my money's worth. So if I go out the door, it's on my head no matter the weather.
I figure that even for all that abuse, It'll still out-last me.
Edit: I looked it up and it's apparently called a "pinched front".
I am from Arizona and it is beautiful, but trust me when I say you need to visit Utah as well. Places like Zion National Park are insanely cool!
Lake Pleasant,
@@stevedietrich8936 Thank you! I'd like to visit it someday.
