As a 27 year old guy living on my own in expensive NYC, Idk where I would be without this woman. Thank you for all of your videos and the time you share with us
My father passed this month and I’ve been a mess, today I was feeling pretty down and thought, I hope there’s a new Lisa video up! This was the first video that popped up when I opened my app ❤ thank you for making content! I really hope you continue to do so!
Can’t wait to see more of these freezer clean out videos from you! Would also love to see a before and after (or progress shots) of you make your way through your freezer. Empty freezer space is both satisfying and worrisome at the same time😅
I am doing something similar. I had a frozen pork loin I put in the crock pot. I had frozen basil that I grew, and a few frozen veggies. I plan on serving with stuffing or potatoes. I like doing freezer cleans. Thanks for your posts!
I can not resist buying an extra turkey during the holidays. You can't beat the price. I'll roast a while turkey in july..lol. I don't care.. BUT.. I do have THREE turkeys in my freezer that I do need to use up. 😂😂
you can also, bread and fry turkey for turkey cutlets.......different flavor.......and similar to fried chicken.....after it is cooked it can be frozen again and will last another two to three months in the freezer.....
Have you started you garden yet this year? I've got a bag I labeled "Korean Chicken Wings" in my freezer. Need to decide if I try in on legs or thighs?
my sister in law wrapped her meat perfectly with plastic wrap and aluminum foil I think that was just about bullet proof for keeping frost off of things.
Oops! This finished uploading late last night and I scheduled it for first thing in the morning and forgot to add the link. It's in the description now and I'll add it here as well: futuredish.com/korean-sundubu-paste-make-jjigae-in-5-min/
I think you are terrific, but I don't understand not washing chicken, that's been living outside all of its life and never had a Bath, and then you just cook it and eat it. Pheasant smell at all?
I was inspired by your freezer cleanouts to finally get through my chest freezer, and I haven't had to buy meat for a couple months. I'm finally to the last bits (a big pork butt that I'll probably use to make pulled pork for a party in May, and some odds and ends of sausage meat and hamburger), but it saved me so much time and money, cleaning out the freezer and the pantry. And I made up a couple of dishes I'll make over and over again.
Hello Lisa Dawn, I love your clean-out freezer videos! I raised 5 children back in the 60 and 70's, one thing I kept in my freezer was a container and anytime I had bits and pieces of meat or vegetables I put them into my container, then I made soup when I had enough for a meal for us! Keep up what you do Lisa, there are so many that weren't raised to be frugal and we really need that knowledge now with prices so high! Love and prayers to you !
Last night I was hungry, and thinking about Taco Bell. Nope! Put frozen fish from a month ago in the pan, rice in the rice cooker, mixed it in a bowl with roasted red pepper hummus, some feta, and spices. 2023 has had a major change to my eating out. I hardly do anymore, and I’ve been losing a lot of weight as well as saving money. Still drink more than I should, but baby steps, right? 😅
OMG I have been trying to clean out my freezers too. I have 4 freezers total (not bragging) but you give me such inspiration because you have such different things like I do. I buy ANYTHING marked down and sometimes I don't know what to do with it. You make everything look so easy!
I am more intentional in my meals. You and WITHOUT LIMITS WITH AARYNLYNN have encouraged me to eat more from my freezer .I also am cooking usually 1 protein and using it several meals or freezing the rest before cooking another one. Also, if I use half a can of Peas in a meal I either have them at the next meal or freeze them as I cook for one it is easy to have leftover items go to waste. But this method also encouraged through watching THE MINIMAL MOM is saving me money. Thank you Lisa Dawn :)
I was so happy to see another video this morning! Loved it as always! I’d love to see some of your grocery hauls! You’re so smart in the kitchen, I think you probably get great deals.
Happy to have freezer/pantry clear out videos - especially the slightly odd stuff that you buy with good intentions and then don't use, we'll, if you're like me!😂
Great video, good to see one again, I had the same issue with the turkey had 2 in freezer one older so I cooked it up yesterday with mashed taters and gravy, dressing, sweet carrots and Mac n cheese pie🎉 it was all delicious!
Hi Dawn! I’m curious, how are you so familiar with Korean food? It’s nice to see you cooking many different varieties of cultural foods. Thanks for sharing!
I don't know how bad your freezer is but mine is at least a couple or more inches thick in some places. If you do the defrosting, any tips would be appreciated. I bought a bottle of cheap vodka to try and some cheap maxi pads to absorb what towels can't. Because just leaving it open to thaw while still being an active appliance isn't a viable option for me right now. Dreading it..
I buy things with good intentions… I’m a perfect storm of I don’t like to cook and my husband is ferociously picky. I have a lot of food waste. Cooking for two sucks.
What I like to do is make the pot pie filling and then freeze it in portions. That way all I have to do is defrost it and pop it in the pie crust. I have also thinned out the filling and added pasta to make a creamy soup or put it on top of rice or orzo. So good!
Good morning. Thanks you for sharing. You're an inspiration. Yeppers, cleaning out my freezer too. Your ideas are always appreciated as well as you. Have a great Sunday
I'm allergic to garlic so I make my own BBQ sauce, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 cups Heinz ketsup, 1 pkg onion soup mix, stir n zap in microwave for 1 min stir, zap another few minutes. I make chicken breasts like that in crockpot, 5 hrs on high for frozen. I've been eating out of my freezer n then we had storms n power outages. That thawed freezer items, n had to be thrown away. Tomorrow is shopping time, I have one more day of shredded BBQ chicken tonight
This is most definitely motivation to use what I have in my freezer. I have so much frozen chicken in my freezer I have to start cooking it. I didn't realize how much was in there 😩. Thank God for food, but I don't want it to go to waste
They say strawberries, kale and spinach are the ones that absorb the most pesticides and to put them in cold water and a couple spoons of baking soda in and soak for 15 mins. I don't know about anyone else but my body reacts to spinach I get made in salads for me and restaurant food so this might be proof enough for me! Take that info with you how you will. All I know is I saw the water after the strawberries and it was cloudy and black specs in it.
Girl. I have searched as far as my legally blind eyes can go. I love your plates. What brand and pattern if you know, are they? Thank you! Love the videos.
Freezer/pantry clean outs are my favorite! I made chili yesterday from some frozen roast beef, last of a bag of beans, frozen diced green chiles, and a few other goodies. Made some rice and voila, dinner plus a few lunches.
Love freezer/pantry videos. We have been slowing moving through ours since the first of the year but got a bit slowed down with a nasty covid case but glad we had stuff on hand we didn’t need any groceries for during the worst of it. Just an FYI if you have a Bargain Hunt in the area they been having the John Muir organic tomatoes for $.99 a can. I think I also saw them at Ollies and Big Lots but don’t remember the price but I know very reasonably priced for organic.
Getting $31 off a turkey is amazing, even pre inflation!! Keeping my eye out, but I should have hit up the "rollback" turkey sale after last thanksgiving. Your recipe looks like it comes out so juicy!
Andrew "snacks" on uncooked pasta? I get eating dry ramen noodles, because they're already cooked and have the texture of a cracker and are sometimes seasoned, but dry pasta doesn't taste like anything and shards of it could shred up your gums even worse than Cap'n Crunch cereal. I'm not shaming him, I'm just curious what the appeal is.
As a 27 year old guy living on my own in expensive NYC, Idk where I would be without this woman. Thank you for all of your videos and the time you share with us
Monkfish is definitely the type of creature you point at and tell your siblings “look it’s you!” 😂😂😂
😆😆😆
🤣🤣 true
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊

Sorry for your loss 😢 I lost my dad in December of 2022 still absorbing the shock of it
D.Howard, so sorry for your loss. Pour your heart out to our wonderful Heavenly Father. He will help comfort you. Praying for you and your loved ones.
I feel ya
My dad just passed on the 7th. Funny, Lisa Dawn has become of safe place for me.
❤
I lost both my parents 2009 and 2010.. ❤️ My condolences to you and your family.
I love your no food waste lifestyle and the fact that you get right to it and not waste extra time chattering 😅
Sunday morning coffee and your video is the best way to begin my day!
I was just about to post this same thought!
You're an inspiration Lisa !! Can't wait to see your garden this year. :)
Muir Glen is considered one of the absolute best brands of canned tomatoes. My mother loved cooking with Muir Glen!
I love to see you grow, Queen!
Can’t wait to see more of these freezer clean out videos from you! Would also love to see a before and after (or progress shots) of you make your way through your freezer. Empty freezer space is both satisfying and worrisome at the same time😅
Love it when I’m notified of a new video from you!
Hot dog buns make great garlic bread in a snap too! 🤣
They sure do!
Yes, and English muffins with butter, cheese, and garlic for 5 mins;)
I am doing something similar. I had a frozen pork loin I put in the crock pot. I had frozen basil that I grew, and a few frozen veggies. I plan on serving with stuffing or potatoes. I like doing freezer cleans. Thanks for your posts!
These are my favorites!!!!
I get super excited when you put up a new video. Love to see the great ideas you have.
Everything looks great!! I'm cleaning out my freezer, this gave me some great ideas! Can't wait to try. As always Miss Lisa, thank you for sharing ❤❤
Love it ! You inspired me to cook from my old frozen foods. Tonight, tacos with meat that is a year old
Great video as always, Lisa! I'm wearing a Phillies shirt right now too.
I want to have a dinner party with her it's on my bucket list!!! lol
Me too!
@@BCGirl822 the more the merrier!!!
That would be so fun! 💙

🥳🥳Yay!!! New vid!! Can't wait to watch!!🥰
These are great videos! I can’t wait to see part three!
This was fun! Can't wait to see the next installment!
Great idea shopping in your freezer I forget what’s even in there sometimes lol❤
Great dinners! Thank you for the video! Have an amazing week.
Thank you again Lisa! Love the instapot!
you can also, bread and fry turkey for turkey cutlets.......different flavor.......and similar to fried chicken.....after it is cooked it can be frozen again and will last another two to three months in the freezer.....
Monk fish, always has a smile tho
I love that barbeque sauce.
Thank you
All looks delicious!
I like to make turkey tetrazzini with leftover turkey.
I read about freezer burnt meat and the article said it only affects taste. I didn't know that but wanted to investigate it.
❤ love your videos ,
Have you started you garden yet this year? I've got a bag I labeled "Korean Chicken Wings" in my freezer. Need to decide if I try in on legs or thighs?
After cooking the salmon on your cast iron griddle, how do you clean the griddle?
my sister in law wrapped her meat perfectly with plastic wrap and aluminum foil I think that was just about bullet proof for keeping frost off of things.
Lisa, are you going to make hot sauce this year?!?!🌶🌶🌶Caliente!
Did I miss the recipe for the Korean spice mixture?

Pheasant smell at all?
Before dinner snack salmon 😂
Yeah, saved me from football.
Monk fish is also known as " poor man's lobster"
Monk fish is fastty and oily? What it is, is slimy! It secretes slime as a defense mechanism!
When you have too much basil, you can blend it with oil and a little bit of salt to a smooth paste. Keeps wonderfully in the fridge (or freezer)!

Oh thank goodness you are back!!!! I’ve been binge watching you and ran out of videos!!!!!!! I demand more videos!! Lol
Your family is very lucky to have you.❤

Yeahhhhhh another video. You just made my day. Thanks ❤❤❤❤
Monk fish, mushroom and soft tofu stew?? Oh my goodness.
Love your videos! I was hoping you would post soon. Can you do this with canned foods as I have a lot of cans from the food pantry.
Thanks Lisa! Love your Channel! Greetings from Germany! 🌼🧡😊🌠✨️...
Prior to this video I'd never seen a monkfish before. It is now my sleep paralysis demon. Thank you internet! 👹👹

I always freeze using the packaging food comes in. Yikes. 😮
I always use half and half for sauces, soups, etc. We like the taste with it.
I buy things with good intentions… I’m a perfect storm of I don’t like to cook and my husband is ferociously picky. I have a lot of food waste. Cooking for two sucks.
Monkfish is called poor man's lobster. It is so good, and eaten with butter.
Good job cleaning out your freezer with inspiring recipes . Keep up the good work .
Love this channel - she has such a natural way about her and is so positive and encouraging.
Thank you! 💙
Girl you can cook!❤the vlog you explain your recipes so well

If you add some of the oil from the sun dried tomatoes it gives a nice golden color
Good morning. Thanks you for sharing. You're an inspiration.
Yeppers, cleaning out my freezer too.
Your ideas are always appreciated as well as you.
Have a great Sunday
Andrew doesn't like the fish skin? Andrew, my dude... eat that fishy skin with the gochujwng!
Shhhh, more skin for me 😜

Liss I LOVE YPUR CHANNEL! My son lives out where u are near fort Bragg! Maybe we can meet and cook together ones day ❤️
You have made me so much better a cook!!!!
Always happy to see a new video. :)
Girl. I have searched as far as my legally blind eyes can go. I love your plates. What brand and pattern if you know, are they? Thank you! Love the videos.
Boy, I Saw those Muir Glen tomatoes at Dollar Tree and snatched up several cans. I could not believe it.
Great Meals!❤
Feel better soon!!
You are such a great motivator!! And these recipes are wonderful!! Thank you Lisa. Lord bless you hon!!
Freezer/pantry clean outs are my favorite! I made chili yesterday from some frozen roast beef, last of a bag of beans, frozen diced green chiles, and a few other goodies. Made some rice and voila, dinner plus a few lunches.
Andrew, that wholesome scamp! Also, good day, m'lady!😊
Never seen a monk fish before. You cooking skills are amazing. Thank you so much.
Sautee mushrooms garlic with broccoli it's delicious

You shouldn't use anything freezer-burnt
Loving the inspiration!!
Hi... you can also make turkey enchiladas have a good day
You should throw that chicken out
Let me ask you something
Thank you!❤
🙂
Getting $31 off a turkey is amazing, even pre inflation!! Keeping my eye out, but I should have hit up the "rollback" turkey sale after last thanksgiving. Your recipe looks like it comes out so juicy!
do u mean andrew eats raw pasta or cooks it on the side to snack on?
He snacks on completely raw pasta 😩🤣
Always good to see your bright smiling face. Thanks for the recipes. Hope your doing good .
I had to replay the part where you said Andrew snacks on the uncooked pasta. LOL I don't think I've ever heard of anyone eating raw pasta. :)
Andrew "snacks" on uncooked pasta?
