I just realised that bakugo stopped smiling after getting into UA , he smiled in the first episode genuinely because that was the only time he felt better than anyone else , he still does , but when he got into UA , he saw so many people wanting to be heroes and with so many quirks he started doubting himself, he doesn't know how to express himself , so he does it by shouting and pushing everyone away , but bakugo truly is sad i think..he doesn't show it but the sudden change got to him, where he used to be best now has a lot of competition. Yes he likes competition , but i think that he is facing too many problems.. When the league of villains got to him , bakugo saw it as him being weak, and thinking that if he wasn't weak all might wouldnt be 'ended.' I think its also that he doubts himself , qnd doesn't know who he truly is. Deku used to have no quirk and bakugo could look down on deku with no hesitation, but when deku suddenly became strong , bakugo felt humiliated when he lost against the boy who used to be so much weaker than him. whenever deku tries helping bakugo , bakugo sees it as deku looking down on bakugo. But bakugo never shows his true self does he? He hides himself behind a tough strong angry person but inside he is sad.. Bakugo is truly an amazing character and the character development from 1st to 4th season was immense. Edit: i have no idea why y'all fighting over LITERAL DRAWINGS. I love how Horikoshi doesn't try to make Deku overpower Bakugo easily. Like in most anime's, the protagonist would overpower the "bully" easily. But in Boku no Hero Academia even though Deku now has all mights power, you can't really say that he's surpassed Bakugo. Makes fights between them a lot more interesting, and adds onto Bakugo's character.
It doesn't show but bakugou outsmart deku in every way... Bakugou is one of the top students in class A.. he has great fighting sense since he has more experience being a person with power and has a great sense of teamwork when it matters most... See class A Vs class B arc... He has his pride and ego in the early days of the show but boiii he got better and better each chapter he's in.
Bakugo, My favorite character throughout the whole anime. Has been crushing himself to bits, But little did he know that help was the only thing he needed. He was torturing himself because of his confidence and pride, he ignored most help, even from Deku. When Kirishima called out Bakugo to come. It wasn't because of Kirishima. It was because of our protagonist. Deku. Some might say that's wrong. But think again, at the fight between them two, he was falling into tears, which was never really seen much. Deku was always helpful, and very realistic with Bakugo. I just hope in the future episodes Bakugo realizes friendship and trust matters most, pride and confidence comes last. And because of this AMV I am eager to know what happens moreover in the anime.
Well no, it was because of Kirishima in that episode where he called out to Bakugou. That had nothing to do with Deku. He would have told Deku to fuck off, as he always has. His pride has always made him refuse help from someone he sees as interior. But unlike Deku, Kiri was his friend. And afterwards, when Bakugou paid Kirishima back for his allowance, that was confirmation.

I don't think so, I think people overrate his past, he didn't had it that bad, I mean compare it to your brother dying in front of your eyes, an abusive dad and a depressed mom (Todoroki), and getting punched and hated, not having friends for your entire life and getting your dreams crushed by the only person that made you keep on going (Midoriya) I kinda think he did not had it that bad, but I understand that thinking you did something that you didn't do and being kidnapped is quite an expirience.

Shoto wants to be, IS his own person, he literally didn’t use hupis fire side until midoriya helped him realise that it’s HIS quirk, not endeavours. So he’ll never be the next endeavour, if anything, he’ll probably REFUSE to carry on endeavours leagacy. Shoto is the next shoto, simple as that. (Same applies for midoriya)
Okay so this AMV is soo freaking good i've watched it like 7 times since i found it last month. Its so good not only in the timing and the phrasing, but even in the organization and narrative you flawlessly executed with it. Its so easily understood and HYPE AS FUCK. You perfectly capitalized on the natural build of the music and the chorus and pre-chorus, and did so in a way that made the music so much more impactful as well as making the fight scenes (and especially the takeoff moment) HIT as hard as it did when i First watched those scenes in the show. Bakugou is a complex character, and I don't think a lot of people understand that. Its so AWESOME to see an AMV that's not just super cool in execution, but also portrays him as he is and was meant to be, and not the boiled-down, angry stereotype so many fans reduce him to. I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH YOU DID SUCH A GOOD JOB THANK YOU FOR THIS
I've watched this like five times and I JUST noticed that the scenes where Bakugou is captured play out in black and white until they slowly progress to the moment when Kirishima reaches out to him and it finally fades to color. The red of Bakugou's eyes and Kirishima's hair being the only color was such a good good good choice. Honestly this amv is just so amazing. I can't stop watching it. JUST... oof every single time it gets to the first "WEAK" of each chorus is just sooooo good. The impact of the clips used in tandem with the lyric is just like OOF Y'KNOW????
Everyone who leaves comments like 'bakugou is not weak!!' is missing the meaning of the video. Bakugou has been in situations where he needs help, and the POINT of this video is to show that it is OKAY to accept that help. Hence the climax at 2:21 is of bakugou reaching out for kirishima's hand.

This is *perfect* for our poor explodey boy, not because he *is* weak, but because *he* is terrified he's weak. Because he thinks weakness is bad and strength is a birthright, that's why he held Green Boi in such disdain. You literally use the clip of the scene where he spells it all out. "You were weak, and I was strong, so how come you keep succeeding and I keep failing? What does that say about me? Because strength is static, you either have it or you don't, and if I don't have it that makes *me* the real Deku." His whole arc is about letting that mindset go, of judging strength as an accomplishment not a a static stat on your character sheet. To be humble enough, to respect someone else's strength enough, to accept help. He made the same mistake Endeavour made about reducing All Might to just his power level, but he has time to fix it if he can just be brave enough. You frame all that so well, from editing to colour correction, how can people misunderstand what you're saying with it? The way the meaning of the chorus changes meaning to reflect each transition of his arc even though it's the same words, the last chorus when he decides to be brave and weak and take the help and the drop hits, and the colour comes back to the world, and the beat hits when Katsuki grabs his boyfr... er, best bro's hand, and the chorus turns so defiant, I literally cry. I have watched this one amv more than literally any other, it should win goddamned awards.
I have not seen so much anime but I don't know another shonnen who tries to understand the mind of a bully showing how his abusive attitude is a consequence of his own inferiority complex born of an elitist environment. It's great that the author gave Bakugo a progressive development based on being hit by reality instead of going from being an abusive god complex to a good guy just because Izuku kicked his ass
Are you referring to the hero vs villains exam in season 1? If so, let me give you props because that's when I realized that bakugo isn't just some bully that is ment to be hated on. But a bully that will get its turn as character development. At that time most people couldn't see his potential, they even thought he was going to be a villain for sure. I was glad I caught that before most people did. And good on you for catching that as well. Most people judge a character too much without *trying* to understand them.

Same. I mean, I'm not a manga reader so I've only recently started to see the change in Bakugou in the anime. I don't hate him anymore, but I can't say I like him either. But that's something I like about the series, it takes the time to properly explore a character and not just go along with the same cliches. I know it still has flaws, but it's still refreshing to see. Having said that, it also has given me a new perception in my real life relationships. I don't think I will ever not hate them, but at least I can forgive them. If that makes sense.
N A You just know fractions of their backstory together, we don’t even properly know to why Bakugou fears to be weak and was bullying Deku. So far we know that Deku was considered the icon of weakness for not having a quirk, and, if Bakugou really is afraid of being weak, he wouldn’t want to be around someone that constantly makes him think of weakness. But, also consider the fact that the icon if weakness suddenly got a massive jump in power and you now have to stare at their back whenever they perform some task. No wonder Bakugou doesn’t like this at all.

Its not wrong or correct to like him from the begining or because something you see make you like him more, dont think everybody is going to start in the same point as you, and nobody is better because "i like him from the start" is a good thing this person likes bakugou now.
My heart hurts so much for bakugo. He’s bottled up all of this sadness and guilt and turned it into anger. This made me love him even more. I used to love him because he was very funny and the plot line for the joke and now he stole my heart. This amv shows his emotions so perfectly and meaningfully. This shows how he’s not just angry all the time, he’s angry at himself for being behind deku. He constantly beats himself up for not being enough because deku used to look up to him and now he’s looking down upon him. It also shows how he was not able to save All Might and he thought everything was his fault. He put his friends and his rival in danger just to save him. He thinks that he could have done it by himself if he wasn’t so weak. I love this so much and am sobbing my eyes out at 1 AM. Thank you. If I could award this video with something, I would give it a 24k, 10 ft tall statue of bakugo.

The reason he "hates" midoriya is because as kids, even though midoriya was quirkless and weaker than bskugou, he never hesitated to help anyone it was like midoriya never cared if he was standing against someone a 100 times stronger than him he wouldn't have backed down and this was all when no one expected anything from him and even looked down upon him. On the other hand, bakugou had a really good and useful quirk which actually people to have high expectations from him. When Bakugou fell in that river, everyone told him that he's strong and fine and can get up on his own but without any second thought, midoriya got down to help him. That was the first time he felt as he was being looked down on by midoriya because people considered his strong and independent and didn't really feel the need to help him but it was different with midoriya. All this forced him to bottle up his emotions and feelings and since midoriya was weak and "looked down on him", be bullied him.
Some of ya'll don't understand the true beauty of this amv. I've watched countless AMVs but this deserves so much more than it's gotten. Clearly Bakugou isn't weak, but think about all the things that has happened to him 1. He lost to a kid who has always been significantly weaker than him for his entire life 2. Then he got captured, which indirectly caused All Might to lose whatever that was left of his quirk, thinking he really ended All Might After all this, he is in a constant state of mind that he is weak and feeble, but the point of this AMV is that through friends, he can overcome. and it's truly beautiful
Caillou's ugly twin brother he didn’t actually win him in combat even deku said he would lose if he fought him straight on. At that time there was no competition between deku and bakugo that’s why deku found another way to win without having to fight one on one.
The worst was realizing that somehow, that kid that was supposed to be worse than him, was actually recognized by his idol, and instead he was noticed and dragged by the villains, leading to a battle that caused the end of All Might, the same idol. Like ... He realizes that there is something that Deku has and he doesn't. He's doing something right, and Bakugo's definitely not. ♣
I absolutely love this AMV. Not only that it is visually appealing and satisfying, it hits your emotions really well. When Bakugo hits Izuku in the fight, there is always a flashback that plays of him being *weak* and I like to think that when it flashes in his mind, he hits Izuku very hard to try and prove that he isn’t weak like in the flashbacks. He starts to stop fighting Izuku when he suddenly remembers when he held Kirishima’s hand, as if softening him a bit and making him more emotional which is why he felt a lot of emotion at the end when All Might hugged him. And I love the transitions of him holding Kirishima’s hand and him being too proud to hold Izuku’s hand as a child. It just.. makes you feel things and it really lets you see how much he has grown up and matured. Yes he is still cocky and a bit of an assh*le but the Bakugo from the past is a lot different than the one we see now. Bakugo had too much pride to get help from anyone, but as he has grown and matured, he can finally understand that you always need other people’s help. If Bakugo was still as cocky as before, he would have not accepted Kirishima’s hand at all just like he did to Izuku as a child. This AMV is amazing. Well done. The start already made me feel so many things, his voice actor is just amazing. The way he captured the emotion of Bakugo and the voice cracks just makes you see how many emotions Bakugo has hidden deep down inside of him and the amount of pain, regret and suffering is with him. And it is really sad that since he had created a bully aura around him, there isn’t a lot of people that want to be around him so he can’t really let his emotions out until Kirishima came. After he fought Izuku, he let his feelings out when he hugged All Might and that must have meant a lot to Bakugo as he has never had someone like that in his life before other than Kirishima whom he still did not fully open up to. Bakugo is honestly one of the most well-written characters in my opinion 😭

the song actually matches *so well* i love it! Especially at 2:15 when the lyrics are "No thank you... is how it should've gone. I should stay strong." is vocalizing Bakugou's ongoing internal conflict of not wanting to accept help from anyone. Then at that moment of "But I'm weak" he gives in, lets his pride go, *launches* himself at Kirishima and for once accepts the hand that has been offered to him because he finally accepts that it is okay to rely on his friend every once in a while. The "what's wrong with that" following shows that he realizes that accepting the support of others doesn't mean he is weak. The "weakness" he feels and rejects doesn't necessarily refer to being physically strong or capable, but to the wall he's mentally built around himself breaking and crumbling at the sight of a true friend during a time of crisis. And that realization is how he's able to find *strength* in himself to not just take Kirishima's hand, but also to admit his feelings of guilt about All Might's end to Midoriya, bringing this AMV full circle to the very beginning... I'm sorry I just love this AMV so much XD
not only that, in the episode they wanted kirishima to do it because he would most likely accept him over deku as his one of the only people bakugou got on with on a friend level. When he was taken away by them he told deku not to come. most would think his looking out for him, but it was his own pride and ego saying "dont save me, not again." his pride wouldn't be able to handle it.

I hated him at the beginning of the series because he just seemed like an arrogant asshole. But over the course of the series as I have seen his character develop he has actually become one of my favourite characters.
to be fair if you pay attention he has every reason to be arrogant, he's top of his class in middle school, top of the entrance exam results, and even after the end of semester he's rank 2 in their class, he has literally never struggled or faced any competition until he came to UA and had nothing but praise from the majority of authority figures in his life. find me a single person if they've never faced a challenge that they haven't overcome on the first try and have had nothing but praise who wouldn't be an arrogant asshole.

Zoey Berbull rude is an understatement, I feel like he was straight up abusive. He’s changing though, he’s improving, and that’s what matters with characters: their growth. He still may not be my favourite character by a long shot but that doesn’t mean he’s not an amazing character. He’s one of the best written characters out there.
The way his voice went weaker and sadder really hit me. In my understanding, Bakugou needs help mentally, that’s what’s stopping him. He’s afraid of not being the best.

Sipilol Actually you can bet that if it were Deku holding out his hand, Kacchan would take it too. Deku just chose Kirishima because he knew Bakugou had something against him and he mistakenly thought Kiri and Baku were friends (they weren't quite friends at that point actually). And Bakugou, being himself, actually just made the smartest and most rational choice in that moment, he didn't want to rely on anyone, but he knew he had to get out of there if he didn't want to get in All Might's way. On Bakugou's side though, Kirishima's hand was definitely easier to take because he didn't see Kirishima as a threat (unlike how he saw Deku as one).
@@KizunaCare yeah, Bakugou could take Deku's or his other classmate's hand cause he knows that All Might couldn't win if he was in the way. But he could have doubted and that may has given Tomura chance to chase him. Deku chose Kirishima cause he and Bakugou are equals so immediately Bakugou could take his friend's hand without doubts, that way was more safe to the rescue plan. I think that's why it was Kirishima's hand.

Anyone else ever thought about bakugou when he was taken said something like "deku... Stay back." To all you bakudeku shippers when he said that it sounded like he generally didnt want deku to be hurt by trying to save him. Infact bakugou looked like he wanted to protect him (and the others) That part alone was enough proof to know that bakugou was gonna be one of the best characters even with a rough exterior. i randomly found this fmv months ago and this is the reason why i'm in fandom right now. from the first seconds I knew he will be my favorite character, i just knew. and i keep coming back to this video again and again. i really like every moment of this world and this video too, this is not a typical story when the "bad" boy become "good" boy because of wise words or friendship or smth like that. i like how horikoshi made these little moments and parallels with deku/bakugou and kirishima/bakugou. like...bakugou and deku..they are more rivals (?) than friends, and it's cool! they both should become stronger, and that's why it's better for them right now to be rivals than friends. maybe they move on because of that too. idk. i just love it. i can talk about it for hours.
I have not seen a good amv in years until I saw this one. The timing and editing was perfect, very thought out. Nothing was overexaggerated and it gave me exactly the feeling I was looking for a long time in an amv. Keep it up!
There’s a difference between being weak emotionally, mentally, and physically. I think if you really watch the video and take the time to think about the lyrics you’ll understand it’s not about Baku being physically weak! There’s no denying that Baku, who treats a nice caring person like Deku terribly, obviously is mentally weak and has to resolve some inner conflict of his own.
Is it weird that Bakugo actually inspires me to strive for more? In those moments when I feel so low I see how strong he is and how even when things doesn't go his way he keeps getting better, I love his character so much.
He does me too! I can totally get Deku's view point of why he admires Bakugo so much. People give Bakugo a lot of shit, but if I was even 1% as disciplined, hard working, confident, and a no-shit taker like himself, my life would be a whole lot easier.

The scene at the start kills me ever since I figured something out. So you know how Bakugo has always been "strong" and always had an amazing quirk. Well because of this people have always been calling him great and amazing, but because of this he was never offered help. The way people showed that they believed in him was to show him that he could do it all on him own. Midoriya is the first person and the only person for a long to offer Bakugo help. Bakugo sees this as Midoriya calling "weak" he sees this as Midoriya not believing in him. He sees this as Midoriya bullying him, he actually believe that Midoriya hates him and sees him as below him. That why this scene kills me. He views it as his bully that person who's been saying he's useless for years has inherited all mighty quirk. And that he, the person who is supposed to be so amazingly powerful was the one who ended all might. He thinks he's proven Midoriya right. That he is "weak".

Could you imagine the feeling of thinking you’re the one who ended the career of someone you look up to and aspire to be? Take my favourite singer for example, aina aibi (or her fictional character yukina minato) from the band roselia, if I were to somehow end her singing career, I would feel guilty beyond what you’d think possible. Think about the main person you look up to and the person you want to be like, imagine ending their career.

This song is so perfect for him. For his whole life he felt as if being offered or taking help is ‘weak’ and that no one should have weaknesses or else their nothing including himself so when he was taking he didint know what to do and that fade when it was only his red eyes and kirishimas red haired summed up what he saw just like deku. Nothing mattered around him In that moment, only his goal to escape which included kirishima and showing the color as if faded back to normal showed that he took in his situation, he knew he had to do it. During the fight with deku he felt as if he was weak, for being targeted and taken and having to be saved, he felt that his flaw caused the end for all might making him weak so he broke down, he fought deku to see what he was lacking and why he was weak. But it wasn’t a weakness it was his growth that changed him. Best amv

AMAZING AMV! And the song? Perfect! I feel that sometimes people forget Kacchan is a human and a kid too. He's so strong and powerful but he has hard times too and sometimes he need to lean on his friends. Before Bakugou didn't accept any help from people (mostly cause his pride), he might thought he need to resolve all by himself. But he's not alone! So this amazing how much he developed. He didn't accept Midoriya's help in the past, but now he know he has friends (especially Kirishima) and he could count on them.

@@starship2143 I understand that the Midorya and Todoroki ship isn't realistic , but outside of canon material like in BHA- smash and the movie , BHA - Two Heroes ,kirishima and bakugo are pretty much confirmed as a couple. In the movie , kirishima and bakugo stay in a love suit with only one bed and kirishima brings a tailored suit for bakugo which implies he knows his body measurements. In my hero academia Smash , Kirishima admits that he thinks bakugo is cute and even wears matching outfits with bakugo. One of the cutest instances is when Kirishima dresses as little red riding hood and Bakugo as the big bad wolf.There are more occurrences but I went press any further. All in all (outside of cannon) they are definitely smashing. I think the only reason the cannon show doesn't confirm anything is because Japan is strictly against same sex marriage , but we have seen time and time again that the author ,Horikoshi , is a huge supporter of LGBTQ rights by the inclusion of transexual characters like magna and bisexual characters like Toga. Perhaps when the manga reaches its end , we will get some confirmation.

I just realised that bakugo stopped smiling after getting into UA , he smiled in the first episode genuinely because that was the only time he felt better than anyone else , he still does , but when he got into UA , he saw so many people wanting to be heroes and with so many quirks he started doubting himself, he doesn't know how to express himself , so he does it by shouting and pushing everyone away , but bakugo truly is sad i think..he doesn't show it but the sudden change got to him, where he used to be best now has a lot of competition. Yes he likes competition , but i think that he is facing too many problems..
When the league of villains got to him , bakugo saw it as him being weak, and thinking that if he wasn't weak all might wouldnt be 'ended.' I think its also that he doubts himself , qnd doesn't know who he truly is.
Deku used to have no quirk and bakugo could look down on deku with no hesitation, but when deku suddenly became strong , bakugo felt humiliated when he lost against the boy who used to be so much weaker than him. whenever deku tries helping bakugo , bakugo sees it as deku looking down on bakugo.
But bakugo never shows his true self does he? He hides himself behind a tough strong angry person but inside he is sad..
Bakugo is truly an amazing character and the character development from 1st to 4th season was immense.

I love how Horikoshi doesn't try to make Deku overpower Bakugo easily. Like in most anime's, the protagonist would overpower the "bully" easily. But in Boku no Hero Academia even though Deku now has all mights power, you can't really say that he's surpassed Bakugo. Makes fights between them a lot more interesting, and adds onto Bakugo's character.
It doesn't show but bakugou outsmart deku in every way... Bakugou is one of the top students in class A.. he has great fighting sense since he has more experience being a person with power and has a great sense of teamwork when it matters most... See class A Vs class B arc... He has his pride and ego in the early days of the show but boiii he got better and better each chapter he's in.

Bakugo, My favorite character throughout the whole anime. Has been crushing himself to bits, But little did he know that help was the only thing he needed. He was torturing himself because of his confidence and pride, he ignored most help, even from Deku. When Kirishima called out Bakugo to come. It wasn't because of Kirishima. It was because of our protagonist. Deku. Some might say that's wrong. But think again, at the fight between them two, he was falling into tears, which was never really seen much. Deku was always helpful, and very realistic with Bakugo. I just hope in the future episodes Bakugo realizes friendship and trust matters most, pride and confidence comes last. And because of this AMV I am eager to know what happens moreover in the anime.
Well no, it was because of Kirishima in that episode where he called out to Bakugou. That had nothing to do with Deku. He would have told Deku to fuck off, as he always has. His pride has always made him refuse help from someone he sees as interior. But unlike Deku, Kiri was his friend. And afterwards, when Bakugou paid Kirishima back for his allowance, that was confirmation.

I don't think so, I think people overrate his past, he didn't had it that bad, I mean compare it to your brother dying in front of your eyes, an abusive dad and a depressed mom (Todoroki), and getting punched and hated, not having friends for your entire life and getting your dreams crushed by the only person that made you keep on going (Midoriya) I kinda think he did not had it that bad, but I understand that thinking you did something that you didn't do and being kidnapped is quite an expirience.

Okay so this AMV is soo freaking good i've watched it like 7 times since i found it last month. Its so good not only in the timing and the phrasing, but even in the organization and narrative you flawlessly executed with it. Its so easily understood and HYPE AS FUCK. You perfectly capitalized on the natural build of the music and the chorus and pre-chorus, and did so in a way that made the music so much more impactful as well as making the fight scenes (and especially the takeoff moment) HIT as hard as it did when i First watched those scenes in the show.
Bakugou is a complex character, and I don't think a lot of people understand that. Its so AWESOME to see an AMV that's not just super cool in execution, but also portrays him as he is and was meant to be, and not the boiled-down, angry stereotype so many fans reduce him to.

I've watched this like five times and I JUST noticed that the scenes where Bakugou is captured play out in black and white until they slowly progress to the moment when Kirishima reaches out to him and it finally fades to color. The red of Bakugou's eyes and Kirishima's hair being the only color was such a good good good choice.

I don't understand how they miss it. This is *perfect* for our poor explodey boy, not because he *is* weak, but because *he* is terrified he's weak. Because he thinks weakness is bad and strength is a birthright, that's why he held Green Boi in such disdain. You literally use the clip of the scene where he spells it all out. "You were weak, and I was strong, so how come you keep succeeding and I keep failing? What does that say about me? Because strength is static, you either have it or you don't, and if I don't have it that makes *me* the real Deku."
His whole arc is about letting that mindset go, of judging strength as an accomplishment not a a static stat on your character sheet. To be humble enough, to respect someone else's strength enough, to accept help. He made the same mistake Endeavour made about reducing All Might to just his power level, but he has time to fix it if he can just be brave enough.
You frame all that so well, from editing to colour correction, how can people misunderstand what you're saying with it? The way the meaning of the chorus changes meaning to reflect each transition of his arc even though it's the same words, the last chorus when he decides to be brave and weak and take the help and the drop hits, and the colour comes back to the world, and the beat hits when Katsuki grabs his boyfr... er, best bro's hand, and the chorus turns so defiant, I literally cry.

Same. I mean, I'm not a manga reader so I've only recently started to see the change in Bakugou in the anime. I don't hate him anymore, but I can't say I like him either. But that's something I like about the series, it takes the time to properly explore a character and not just go along with the same cliches. I know it still has flaws, but it's still refreshing to see.
Having said that, it also has given me a new perception in my real life relationships. I don't think I will ever not hate them, but at least I can forgive them. If that makes sense.
N A You just know fractions of their backstory together, we don’t even properly know to why Bakugou fears to be weak and was bullying Deku.
So far we know that Deku was considered the icon of weakness for not having a quirk, and, if Bakugou really is afraid of being weak, he wouldn’t want to be around someone that constantly makes him think of weakness.
But, also consider the fact that the icon if weakness suddenly got a massive jump in power and you now have to stare at their back whenever they perform some task.

My heart hurts so much for bakugo. He’s bottled up all of this sadness and guilt and turned it into anger. This made me love him even more. I used to love him because he was very funny and the plot line for the joke and now he stole my heart. This amv shows his emotions so perfectly and meaningfully. This shows how he’s not just angry all the time, he’s angry at himself for being behind deku. He constantly beats himself up for not being enough because deku used to look up to him and now he’s looking down upon him. It also shows how he was not able to save All Might and he thought everything was his fault. He put his friends and his rival in danger just to save him. He thinks that he could have done it by himself if he wasn’t so weak. I love this so much and am sobbing my eyes out at 1 AM. Thank you. If I could award this video with something, I would give it a 24k, 10 ft tall statue of bakugo.

The reason he "hates" midoriya is because as kids, even though midoriya was quirkless and weaker than bskugou, he never hesitated to help anyone it was like midoriya never cared if he was standing against someone a 100 times stronger than him he wouldn't have backed down and this was all when no one expected anything from him and even looked down upon him. On the other hand, bakugou had a really good and useful quirk which actually people to have high expectations from him.
When Bakugou fell in that river, everyone told him that he's strong and fine and can get up on his own but without any second thought, midoriya got down to help him. That was the first time he felt as he was being looked down on by midoriya because people considered his strong and independent and didn't really feel the need to help him but it was different with midoriya.
All this forced him to bottle up his emotions and feelings and since midoriya was weak and "looked down on him", be bullied him.
Some of ya'll don't understand the true beauty of this amv. I've watched countless AMVs but this deserves so much more than it's gotten. Clearly Bakugou isn't weak, but think about all the things that has happened to him
1. He lost to a kid who has always been significantly weaker than him for his entire life
2. Then he got captured, which indirectly caused All Might to lose whatever that was left of his quirk, thinking he really ended All Might
After all this, he is in a constant state of mind that he is weak and feeble, but the point of this AMV is that through friends, he can overcome. and it's truly beautiful
Weeaboo-Scum Bakugou lost to Deku when they were training earlier in the anime. Now, Bakugou swore to always win.
Caillou's ugly twin brother he didn’t actually win him in combat even deku said he would lose if he fought him straight on. At that time there was no competition between deku and bakugo that’s why deku found another way to win without having to fight one on one.
The worst was realizing that somehow, that kid that was supposed to be worse than him, was actually recognized by his idol, and instead he was noticed and dragged by the villains, leading to a battle that caused the end of All Might, the same idol. Like ... He realizes that there is something that Deku has and he doesn't. He's doing something right, and Bakugo's definitely not.

I absolutely love this AMV. Not only that it is visually appealing and satisfying, it hits your emotions really well. When Bakugo hits Izuku in the fight, there is always a flashback that plays of him being *weak* and I like to think that when it flashes in his mind, he hits Izuku very hard to try and prove that he isn’t weak like in the flashbacks.
He starts to stop fighting Izuku when he suddenly remembers when he held Kirishima’s hand, as if softening him a bit and making him more emotional which is why he felt a lot of emotion at the end when All Might hugged him.
And I love the transitions of him holding Kirishima’s hand and him being too proud to hold Izuku’s hand as a child. It just.. makes you feel things and it really lets you see how much he has grown up and matured. Yes he is still cocky and a bit of an assh*le but the Bakugo from the past is a lot different than the one we see now. Bakugo had too much pride to get help from anyone, but as he has grown and matured, he can finally understand that you always need other people’s help. If Bakugo was still as cocky as before, he would have not accepted Kirishima’s hand at all just like he did to Izuku as a child.
This AMV is amazing. Well done. The start already made me feel so many things, his voice actor is just amazing. The way he captured the emotion of Bakugo and the voice cracks just makes you see how many emotions Bakugo has hidden deep down inside of him and the amount of pain, regret and suffering is with him.
And it is really sad that since he had created a bully aura around him, there isn’t a lot of people that want to be around him so he can’t really let his emotions out until Kirishima came. After he fought Izuku, he let his feelings out when he hugged All Might and that must have meant a lot to Bakugo as he has never had someone like that in his life before other than Kirishima whom he still did not fully open up to.

The "weakness" he feels and rejects doesn't necessarily refer to being physically strong or capable, but to the wall he's mentally built around himself breaking and crumbling at the sight of a true friend during a time of crisis. And that realization is how he's able to find *strength* in himself to not just take Kirishima's hand, but also to admit his feelings of guilt about All Might's end to Midoriya, bringing this AMV full circle to the very beginning...

not only that, in the episode they wanted kirishima to do it because he would most likely accept him over deku as his one of the only people bakugou got on with on a friend level. When he was taken away by them he told deku not to come. most would think his looking out for him, but it was his own pride and ego saying "dont save me, not again." his pride wouldn't be able to handle it.

I love this so much because a lot of people hate katsuki because hes rude to deku but you seen in there that he was trying not to cry in front of all might
I hated him at the beginning of the series because he just seemed like an arrogant asshole. But over the course of the series as I have seen his character develop he has actually become one of my favourite characters.
to be fair if you pay attention he has every reason to be arrogant, he's top of his class in middle school, top of the entrance exam results, and even after the end of semester he's rank 2 in their class, he has literally never struggled or faced any competition until he came to UA and had nothing but praise from the majority of authority figures in his life. find me a single person if they've never faced a challenge that they haven't overcome on the first try and have had nothing but praise who wouldn't be an arrogant asshole.

Zoey Berbull rude is an understatement, I feel like he was straight up abusive. He’s changing though, he’s improving, and that’s what matters with characters: their growth. He still may not be my favourite character by a long shot but that doesn’t mean he’s not an amazing character. He’s one of the best written characters out there.
The way his voice went weaker and sadder really hit me. In my understanding, Bakugou needs help mentally, that’s what’s stopping him. He’s afraid of not being the best.

Actually you can bet that if it were Deku holding out his hand, Kacchan would take it too. Deku just chose Kirishima because he knew Bakugou had something against him and he mistakenly thought Kiri and Baku were friends (they weren't quite friends at that point actually). And Bakugou, being himself, actually just made the smartest and most rational choice in that moment, he didn't want to rely on anyone, but he knew he had to get out of there if he didn't want to get in All Might's way. On Bakugou's side though, Kirishima's hand was definitely easier to take because he didn't see Kirishima as a threat (unlike how he saw Deku as one).
@@KizunaCare yeah, Bakugou could take Deku's or his other classmate's hand cause he knows that All Might couldn't win if he was in the way. But he could have doubted and that may has given Tomura chance to chase him.
Deku chose Kirishima cause he and Bakugou are equals so immediately Bakugou could take his friend's hand without doubts, that way was more safe to the rescue plan.

i randomly found this fmv months ago and this is the reason why i'm in fandom right now. from the first seconds I knew he will be my favorite character, i just knew. and i keep coming back to this video again and again.
i really like every moment of this world and this video too, this is not a typical story when the "bad" boy become "good" boy because of wise words or friendship or smth like that. i like how horikoshi made these little moments and parallels with deku/bakugou and kirishima/bakugou. like...bakugou and deku..they are more rivals (?) than friends, and it's cool! they both should become stronger, and that's why it's better for them right now to be rivals than friends. maybe they move on because of that too. idk. i just love it. i can talk about it for hours.

There’s no denying that Baku, who treats a nice caring person like Deku terribly, obviously is mentally weak and has to resolve some inner conflict of his own.
Is it weird that Bakugo actually inspires me to strive for more? In those moments when I feel so low I see how strong he is and how even when things doesn't go his way he keeps getting better, I love his character so much.
He does me too! I can totally get Deku's view point of why he admires Bakugo so much. People give Bakugo a lot of shit, but if I was even 1% as disciplined, hard working, confident, and a no-shit taker like himself, my life would be a whole lot easier.

The scene at the start kills me ever since I figured something out.
So you know how Bakugo has always been "strong" and always had an amazing quirk. Well because of this people have always been calling him great and amazing, but because of this he was never offered help. The way people showed that they believed in him was to show him that he could do it all on him own.
Midoriya is the first person and the only person for a long to offer Bakugo help. Bakugo sees this as Midoriya calling "weak" he sees this as Midoriya not believing in him. He sees this as Midoriya bullying him, he actually believe that Midoriya hates him and sees him as below him.
That why this scene kills me. He views it as his bully that person who's been saying he's useless for years has inherited all mighty quirk. And that he, the person who is supposed to be so amazingly powerful was the one who ended all might.
He thinks he's proven Midoriya right. That he is "weak".

For his whole life he felt as if being offered or taking help is ‘weak’ and that no one should have weaknesses or else their nothing including himself so when he was taking he didint know what to do and that fade when it was only his red eyes and kirishimas red haired summed up what he saw just like deku. Nothing mattered around him In that moment, only his goal to escape which included kirishima and showing the color as if faded back to normal showed that he took in his situation, he knew he had to do it. During the fight with deku he felt as if he was weak, for being targeted and taken and having to be saved, he felt that his flaw caused the end for all might making him weak so he broke down, he fought deku to see what he was lacking and why he was weak. But it wasn’t a weakness it was his growth that changed him. Best amv

I feel that sometimes people forget Kacchan is a human and a kid too. He's so strong and powerful but he has hard times too and sometimes he need to lean on his friends.

@@starship2143 I understand that the Midorya and Todoroki ship isn't realistic , but outside of canon material like in BHA- smash and the movie , BHA - Two Heroes ,kirishima and bakugo are pretty much confirmed as a couple. In the movie , kirishima and bakugo stay in a love suit with only one bed and kirishima brings a tailored suit for bakugo which implies he knows his body measurements. In my hero academia Smash , Kirishima admits that he thinks bakugo is cute and even wears matching outfits with bakugo. One of the cutest instances is when Kirishima dresses as little red riding hood and Bakugo as the big bad wolf.There are more occurrences but I went press any further. All in all (outside of cannon) they are definitely smashing. I think the only reason the cannon show doesn't confirm anything is because Japan is strictly against same sex marriage , but we have seen time and time again that the author ,Horikoshi , is a huge supporter of LGBTQ rights by the inclusion of transexual characters like magna and bisexual characters like Toga. Perhaps when the manga reaches its end , we will get some confirmation.
