    Excellent video as always! I am also planning to buy the same model, so your video really helped me! 🙏
    I have a few questions to ask you:
    1. How has your overall viewing experience been so far with the telescope? And what are some of the best objects to see with this model? :)
    2. Since the 10 inch model is really heavy, are there any problems with the rollers while rotating the telescope (like excessive friction or getting stuck issues)?
    3. Does the Optical Tube tilt downwards if you put heavy eyepieces?
    4. Was the packaging sufficient to protect the telescope from damage during transport? (Because I don't live in Mumbai)
    5. I don't know if you have tried this, but is the telescope easy to transport via car (for example, swift dzire)?
    Clear skies! ✌

      @night_sky_and_me  2 роки тому +3

      First of All Thank you so much for the appreciation 😊
      I am happy to know that my video helped someone take decision 😌
      Now about the questions I would like to answer them point wise to clarify your doubts.
      1) It was not long after I bought my Telescope and my exams started so I didn't get any time to see much stuffs with it. Also The Winter monsoon destroyed the sky. I only got a few clear skies where I observed from my balcony and one extremely clear sky and I took it to my rooftop.
      Everything you look in the looks amazing. I can assure you with that. The Moon especially the craters are breathtaking. The Planets such as Jupiter and Saturn and Also Orion nebula, Stars and The Andromeda galaxy. They all looks Amazing. After the exams I will again start my hunt for Night sky objects
      2) Not at all! I am even surprised at this. Despite being this bulky and Gigantic in size it doesn't get struck of have any bearing problems. If you loosen the bearing quite a bit it spins so smoothly it feels like a figure skater.
      3) This Telescope has an excellent balancing system. The Balance wheels can be adjusted forward or backward if it feels like unbalanced. But If you tight the axis it's more than enough to stop any tilt.
      4) I too don't live in Mumbai infact I live 4800 kilometres away from it. I would say The packaging!! The packaging it came with was extra! It was too good! They pack it in full wooden box for long distance destinations. Inside the wooden box lies a cardboard box. Inside the cardboard box lies another cardboard box. Inside that the Telescope safely lies wrapped in Thermocol.
      5) I am sorry I never tried it. But from my intuition I can answer that It is certainly going to be difficult but not impossible. For Journeys it is safer to wrap in Thermocol to give a layer of protection. Because Carrying a Heavy Telescope around without any protection is not a risk worth taking of.
      I hope your Doubts got cleared. And if you are thinking to buy a dobsonian then I would surely recommend you with this. As it comes with a tons of stuffs apart from the telescope and The base!

    Perfect video. I have a question about the collimation of the primary mirror. In some YT video, the white screws were colimation and black bolts with secure spring. In this video, it is the opposite. At home I also have these black screws with spring and white screws. I use the white screws for collimation.

    Hello buddy I was given some good advice from an experienced astronomer he said because I live in a light polluted area I would be better off getting the 8inch dob as I won’t be better off with the ten unless the skies are really dark.flo only have one stellalyra 8inch left in stock and I can’t order it until Monday so fingers crossed🙏🏻

      @night_sky_and_me  Рік тому +1

      Yeah I too agree with him
      He gave some good suggestions. The 10 would perform no better than 8 if you live under a light polluted sky. So instead of draining your bank account it's better getting a smaller one.
      You won't feel much of a performance difference in both of them.
      Also good luck for your purchase. Fingers crossed 🤞

    • @night_sky_and_me
      @night_sky_and_me  Рік тому +1

      Looks like you ran into the same problem I did 😂
      It's not a problem rather it's a mistake.
      There has to be atleast 1 screw that is used to lock focuser and 1 screw to engage the focuser with the knob. Both of those comes loose in the package. You have to tighten the engaging screw to engage the focuser with the knob. After that when you turn the knob the focuser will move with it.
      And the locking screw is used to lock the focuser so that it doesn't change the focus.

    Amazing telescope! Can you please tell me how much is the weight of just the tube only? I can see from the sites that it is 15.5kg. Is it so much? Can you weight it?

    • @night_sky_and_me
      @night_sky_and_me  Рік тому +1

      Thank so so much for showing your interest. The Tube weight nearly 17 kgs. It depends for example if you attach a very heavy eyepiece, camera or a Finder. But just the tube only should weight from 15-16 kgs
      It's definitely heavy and you can feel it while lifting. It feels heavy on one side because of the bulky mirror placed behind. So the weight does not seem to be uniformly distributed making it weird and tough to lift.
