The swag, attitude, slang, movies, sitcoms, music, sport icons, family, and advancement in work places. 90s was so magical for African Americans. Being a kid and teenager in the 90s you got the full experience of so many things growing up. I use to love going to school and playing outside. Long love the 90s

Nothing will ever come close to this pure, organic and clear sound. These people were geniuses!! imagine at this age selling millions of records and being adored by countless across the world. This was the peak of real music, I wont even put down the synthetic garbage that gets doled out regularly across the music stations in this Era. Everybody has their preference... But this, THIS kind of music is nothing short of a masterpiece.

To back up your post about the bass in this song, I remember being in college and we got our old floor model TV in the dorm lounge replaced with a large 60 inch TV that had nice speakers at the base of it. When this song game on BET, it used to flat out BUMP.
I turned the TV up all the way one time when I was in the lounge by myself, and it sounded like I was in the damn club. I left to go to the bathroom with the TV still all the way up. By the time I came back, the RA who had lived about 4 doors down from the lounge was turning the TV down.
Brandy is like the Reggie Miller of singers. She may not be the best singer of all time, but for what she used to do and how she did it, she was damn good. That's why she still gets respect 20 years later.

I just really miss the 90's.
I had the biggest crush on Brandy, well into my adult years. I used to want to meet her SOO BAD. We're the same age, and one thing I really liked about her was that she was so modest and pure. She never seemed like a big headed celebrity, but like a regular person. She's literally the only celebrity that I have ever wanted to meet. Today she is a beautiful woman, and still has this innocence about her, even with her imperfections, where you can tell that she is a genuinely good person, who could get along with anyone. Amazing personality.

It's crazy to think of the '90s as simpler times. After all, we had CDs, cell phones/pagers, and the Internet back then. Still, the '90s were indeed simpler. In a less-tense pre-9/11 world, airport security was simpler; gas was cheaper; the housing market in major cities wasn't as bleak; there was no social media/smartphones (as you already pointed out) which meant if you wanted to find out some facts about a famous person, a product, or any subject, you had to do actual old school research (which often involved going to the library or breaking out grandpa's dusty old hardback encyclopedia set LOL). If you wanted to interact with family/friends/companion, you did it in person or on the phone. Music was also much more pleasant to the ear back then.

@@saxopio6280 so true! Even though the 90s didn't have smart phones and social media, it doesn't seem that far away since we definitely did have pagers, CDs and cell phones. Landlines were used a lot too. Also, magazines, newspapers, advertising, and the media entities swayed public opinion much more.
