Drones are such an amazing tool for cases like this and so many more. This tool can provide us a way to preserve small parts of history without facing trespass issues and preventing further degradation, contamination or theft of remaining artifacts preserving whats left.
That disarm catch was awesome too!
Niiiiiceee!!! I feel you...trying these dream shots make your heartbeat so fast...and fingers shaking at the top i am sure. No risk no fun! Also, the fact that the weather is so difficult, makes the whole thing feel more like an adventure, or else everyone would do it! Congrats!
That was an awesome flight brother thank you for sharing and the back story
Pretty darn epic!
So glad you were able to get the shot you’ve wanted for so long!🔥 Now onto the next one 😂
This is a masterpiece! Beautifully done brotha 🔥😍
Came for the FPV shot, stayed becouse of the story... well done Danny ! Loved the video ! 😄
been waiting for this video for a while, so glad you got the shot!
Stunning footage! The descending shot went crazy 🤩
Epic dude!! I know how long you’ve been dreaming of getting that shot 🙌🏼 glad it finally worked out!
As many, many small pieces of history are torn down the memory becomes easier to be forgotten and then the history itself is repeated.
Even if they remove the stairs the mountain remains and that is what makes this an amazing FPV flight!
Love that you included some cool history. And what an amazing flight and view! great stuff...
Brilliant video, I got goosebumps, it's unbelievable how beautiful it is up there😍😍😍
The Chimera 7 for the win! Just got my 3rd one. Best tool for the job for sure.
Huge accomplishment. Great journey bro. Killer spot. Way to nail a flight before something cool dissappeared. Immortalizing it forever. I usually watch freestyle exclusively. You really brought me in with the great storytelling. Youre getting me curious on this whole long range thing....
Unreal dedication and execution, man!
Epic my dude!! Not many people get to see everything that goes into a shot like this, too often it's just the finished product
wow, I lost my first chimera 7 attempting this exact shot at sunrise, losing orientation in the clouds at the radar tower, and then having gps rescue fail due to wind 🥲 so nervewracking flying that far out. great job and nice storytelling!
what was your setup? any tips you would give yourself to prevent loosing that one?
@@nilotheking I was using the stock betaflight (4.2? it was 2021) which cannot use compass input so its gps RTH is not as reliable. I switched to INAV for its replacement. I also now do a "pre-flight briefing" where I practice which switches to flip in case of panic/loss of video
That was amazing Danny awesome job I love your determination! That staircase is a historic site in my opinion and should be protected!
That was amazing! Perseverance pays off!!!!
I've heard about the stairs, but never the story behind them. That was awesome and a great video!!! Thank you
Epic run
Awesome and amazing flight! So good to see the windward side. That took tremendous 🥎⚾️!! I applaud your patience, waiting for a break in the weather is an oddity right there. Your patience paid off! 🤙🏾
so nice to have a story around the fpv flight. nice video 10/10
Great video man. I did the hike in late 2019, and it was so worth it!
Wow absolutely awesome Danny
Thanks for sharing
That flight was epic
Congratulations on pulling it off
Well done
Persistence pays!
Instant subscription, awesome shot sir.
Luv surfing down a mountain on fpv. Great landing catch

Perfect shots and good story 👍
Wow 👏
Less talking, more flying.
That's was real cool good one bro!!!
agreee with you a petition must come its part of history
what a shot dude!
That was cooool.
I love the desire to get the shot, i do think if you had more attempts getting closer to the stairs would look better but good job
Yeah you did it! Shot looks great :)
Very good video. Congratulations on sharing the story.
About the radio. I believe that TBS would be the best signal.
It cost!
Awesome video, loved the back story. I was out flying the windward side a few weekends ago. Still working up the guts to leave the parks and do some mountain cruising. Also need to check out the abandoned looking building that I have been eyeballing for a couple years now near the H3 tunnel entrance.
Epic!!!
EPIC!!
BRO!!! You know what they say?.....
Do you?
Epic Tale!
Amaizing
Hell yeah bro, gonna be back on Oahu September, let’s link 🥳
Amazing! 👍
epic, man
I enjoyed the video 😍
nicely done! thanks for getting the footage before the historical stairs are gone forever (what a shame)
This might be THE BEST fpv shot ever.... 😮
Love this!
Seems like a lot of people lose there drones there, love how much prep and planning went into this one, sick work as always!
Hah! If I lived 15 min. from there I’d be doing the same thing. I’ve been to the island a few times but was never enough time to work out all the mechanics of a run like that. Yeah, think sunset was the way to go. Just to cloudy in the morning. That’s a tough shot to get! Glad you didn’t lose any quads. 🏝🏝😎
What really makes me mad is when people buy a house knowing that they're buying a house next to a historic landmark and complain that people come and look at this historic landmark and what do they do? they make the government remove the landmark cuz they're dumb and have awful judgment with their stupidity.
Great video man! How is the range of chimera compared to something like nazgul?
1000% to the effort!
You know what they say, do you ? 😂 such a good video. That sunrise lighting would've looked unreal! still an amazing long range flight 🤙I've had this shot on my bucket list, sad that they are planning on taking it down...
Kyle always with the one liners… 😂 And yeah man really hoping they don’t actually do it
Very cool!!
Did you have return to home enabled for this flight? If so how did you do it?
Pretty awesome
Great vid.
Nice footage! What battery did you use?
Only 3k views? This deserves more
Let's g😎!!
💯
Awesome🔥 !!! I got same gears than you but I noticed that with the DJI rc 2 I got some Rx loss when I am in channel mode manual. I can see in your video that you're in manual mode on the channel 2. Don't you have any issues ? For me the only solution to fix Rx loss is to fly in auto mode but it looks like the range and penetration is not as good as in manual mode.
You're living the life. Kee living. Glad to see young people doing what they love.🎉🎉
Man this is so epic 😍 really love that shot 💪😮 I'm going this year to hawaii and would like to make same shot 😁could you tell me location where did you take off ? 😏 Thanks buddy 🙏
Let’s go 🔥
Did you use a signal booster to get the long range video?
Anyone slope soaring up there? Pretty sweet! How 's the Chimera handle the wind?
It is sick how much your body is able to shake when you are flying so high and far away. Nice video!
Bro i been wanting to fly this spot since i moved here
Mate !!! LOOOVE IT !!! Love the stairs, what an amazing hike !!! Id ask a girl to marry me up there.. Helicopter pre arranged to come down over the city first. What a waste to let it go.
where did you park at for the launch?
🌋🔥🔥🔥
Muito louco, imagens fantásticas, 👏🤩
quality content! may i know what music genre u use in clip where you get the fpv shots?
How much range and flight time you go?
Just coming across you and your channel new sub here I live on the island as well lmk if you come townside
kyle looks skunked 😉
could you show us the drone and it's assembly?
dude how it didnt diconect? i get a lot of disconnections from the video feed in way shorter distances,.
How do you get sich long range with your Googles 2
DJI 03 air unit can replace GoPro ?
Nice job capturing what many will never have the opportunity to see. My son and I went up the Stairway about 20 years ago and now seeing your video brings back a fond memory. Thanks!
