My dog also has hotspots and allergies. I stoped giving him chicken (that includes treats) and started monoprotein kibble with fish only (fish is the least allergic ingredient for dogs or something). They also have anti-allergy pills for doggos, I’m in a different country so I can’t tell you the name but you can ask for them at the vet, so your pup could feel a bit better when it’s allergy season ❤
My sweet pup also has allergies. She is a staffy mix, so is prone to them. Theyre particularly bad during the transition from summer to autumn (so now in the NH), and she gets a daily allergy pill and goes in for allergy injections. Otherwise, she'll chew her poor feet until they're bloody and hairless. Hope you figure out poor Finn's triggers!!!
Oh your poor little pup! That sounds awful 💜 and me too, hes having a tough time of it at the moment! And hes also a menace in a cone i end up with so many bruises on my shins 😂

Best of luck with your surgery!! I had a ganglion cyst a few years ago on a finger but it caused a lot of pain. I hope yours doesn’t and that it is nothing to worry about! ❤
Thats whay they thought it could be to begin with! Luckily mines not painful, just annoying 😂 my mum told me that doctors used to just wack ganglion cysts with a book to treat them lol thats what she told me to do when i first showed her tingles so glad i didnt take that advice 😂
My blue heeler had very sensitive stomach and skin reactions to food. He ate grain free food only salmon -based. Chicken made him itchy. RIP my cattle dog lost him about a month ago at 13 years old 💙 my husband's and I first love (added a red heeler and 2 kids over the years 🤣)

It's always better to get these things removed asap, especially because you would probably lose mobility in your finger (at the very least) if you left it for longer. Damn, they wouldn't cover your MRI? I mean I'm glad you only had to pay $450 for it ...here in the US it would probably be over 1K which is shameful
I hope Finn is getting better. My dog also has allergies. We found out few years back due to he was licking himself until the skin got irritated. We made allergie tests and found out he had multiple allergies, but mostly allergic to dust mite. Yay🫠, I live in a house with kids, so dust is everywhere no matter how much I clean. I would suggest to get an allergie test for Finn to find out what he is allergic to.😊

Check to see if Cytopoint is available for your pupper. It really helps mine with her hot spots during the spring. Good luck, I hope it resolves soon!
