    Good job Brian, instead of grinding to 999 on Junction with the Triumvirate you are doing this on a regular rotation!

    Glad to be a part of your max hazard freelance! I was actually doing 9s for my friend Clyde, and my lossless have ended on 980, 2nd shift after you reached 9s, haha.

      Weapons or map doesn't really play a role for me. Personally I just do Freelance here and there on whichever rotation it may be at the time

      @@hentloll1370 Thank you, I appreciate the compliment
      Although, I should clarify that I feel it's more just a mentality thing. Personally I simply don't consider if I can win with a certain comp or not, rather I just play for the sake of practise. As even losses can be valuable for improvement.
      I think being open to play any rotation like this is something any player is able to do and some are doing already.

    I find the point about bosses over eggs to be interesting. I feel like when I play freelance I tend to experience the opposite, that players will typically focus on kills over eggs. I don't know for sure, but I feel like I'm typically more likely on a day wave to lose to quota then a wipe (at least at higher hazards) and sometimes I'll have teammates with single digit eggs, or I'll check the clock and see we have 8 eggs in after 50 seconds. Maybe this is a side effect of the field not being as clear, though, and results would be different if I focused more on bosses over eggs. I feel like the playstyle I've developed revolves more around running eggs when there isn't an immediate threat I can handle, so maybe I should try being more aggressive with bosses and see how it shakes out.

    • @BrianTheDrummer
      @BrianTheDrummer  2 місяці тому +2

      It's definitely a bit more complex in the end. I can definitely recommend making sure the field is clear. But, while it's not too common I feel, it is definitely possible egg running will be low from certain players. At times I do find myself adjusting this balance between killing and egg running if it's necessary.
      Although, it's worth noting a big part lies in also making sure to sneak in lures in small moments. There are moments during games where I position myself in specific ways to make sure Flippers or other bosses get straight to basket. I think managing to do these alongside all the kills also plays a big role in making sure quota is taken care of.

    2:21:06 Task failed successfully
    2:38:00 I knew exactly what was coming and it still got me lol. The perfect fade out timing with the scream.
    2:45:48 Okay, I've been killed by steelhead bombs pushing me before, but that was a new one. That steelhead is getting a promotion for sure.
    After finally watching all the way through, I feel like you only needed to use a special like, 3 or 4 times overall (and two were on a single rush wave lol. Seeing the 'victory' wave breaker come out post W3 in that match gave me physical pain). Most of the time it was just like 'eh, it's wave 3 I GUESS I'll use them.'
    Getting a 200 Day on the last match seems like a pretty good way to end the climb.

      @BrianTheDrummer  Місяць тому

      I went through several emotions in a split second during that Steelhead. I think I could've survived if I didn't experience such a rollercoaster haha.
      Specials were surprisingly not needed as much yeah. I've played other rotations where they ended up being vital much more often. I might see if I can record full runs on other maps and rotations too, since I do think they can play a crucial role.

    I'm curious, what do you think of Decavitator and Wellstring in Salmon Run, Brian? Also Dousers and Recycle Brella (you know, the newest 4 main weapons)?

    • @JakoBpyroTech
      @JakoBpyroTech Місяць тому

      I know Decavitator is amazing, one of the best lesser clearers ever.
      I think Wellstring is good, but I'm still unsure (feels like a mini Grizz Stringer, which is cool).
      Dousers . . . I feel they don't have enough uptime because of how ink hungry they are, otherwise they would be amazing.
      I think Bambrella feels decently solid.

    after this rotation, i now have 9s on 5/7 maps, but i still struggle a lot with Spawning Grounds and Marooners Bay. I was wondering if you have any tips for them? especially for freelance since thats what i mostly play.

    • @BrianTheDrummer
      @BrianTheDrummer  2 місяці тому +3

      They are tricky maps for sure. For Spawnings Grounds I'd say the biggest part is making sure the area around basket, especially the flat ground where you spawn in, is cleared. I feel it's easy to underestimate how dangerous things get with how all bosses essentially funnel into a pretty small and unsafe basket area. So it's good to make sure bosses die some distance away from it if you think they'll attack basket. It's less likely you'll be able to run off somewhere safe compared to other maps if things get bad. Awareness is a big thing here too, one of the few maps that branches off to all sides so far. Any time lost on noticing spawns can backfire quickly with how long travel time takes.
      Marooner's Bay is the hardest for sure. On this map it's good to be aware that you can steal lures quite often from players, things like tagging Scrappers or Maws that otherwise would almost always go for someone on shore instead. Utilizing the spawns right of basket are very valuable too. Especially with egg throwing now you can get away with killing basically everything here instantly, and have those eggs like a throw away from basket.
      Finally I would say positioning is important. Bosses will delure a ton when dealing with far spawns. It's important you're both aware to not delure too many bosses for a single Stinger/Flyfish kill if there's no time left in the wave, and similarly looking out for bosses leaving to teammates doing the same and engaging those bosses. Because of this specials can be very valuable too. So when there's time it's good to challenge yourself at taking down far bosses, and saving specials for when you don't have it.
      Good luck, hope you get them :)

      i appreciate the tips! ive often heard ranged weapons are best on marooners.. what is your stand on this?

    • @BrianTheDrummer
      @BrianTheDrummer  2 місяці тому +2

      @@keikoKitty_ Overall it's good yes, how much depends a bit.
      It being considered good mostly comes from the fact that often during lures you need long range to comfortably take down Steelheads that are part of the lures. On top of Steelheads being generally dangerous if not dealt with.
      However, in Freelance it's less needed because these types of lures aren't as common. Especially if you're diligent enough to deal with Steelheads on time.

    how did the bombs kill that flyfish at 0:32 ? i thought the bomb had to go in the buckets?

    • @dennishenk
      @dennishenk 2 місяці тому +4

      There just needs to be an explosion near the buckets, so when there's a ledge nearby or something that detonates a bomb (slamming lid beam or steel eel tail) you can take a flyfish out that way

      @Enukari 2 місяці тому

      @@dennishenk good to know thanks!

    • @JakoBpyroTech
      @JakoBpyroTech Місяць тому

      It worked that way in S2, but in S3 any explosion that touches the inside of the buckets will destroy them. This means most if not all things that can destroy a Flyfish's bucket can one-shot the whole Flyfish under the right circumstances.
