  • The switchable Rupert Neve Designs transformers on the input pre-amps of UR-RT audio interfaces deliver a rich sound with warmth and harmonics, but you also get zero latency recording and monitoring with DSP effects, which ensures you always enjoy all the color and texture that you need. All of the DSP functions are integrated into the Cubase DAW mixer, allowing you to quickly find the effects that you need. The Sweet Spot Morphing Channel strip is great for quickly dialing in the perfect compression and EQ, with controls for attack, release, ratio, drive and more. Other effects plug-ins include the Yamaha guitar amp classics, which includes vibrato, chorus and distortion, and the stunning REV-X reverb.

Cubase integration is a big selling point, that's for sure, while 3rd party plugins would make it a big hit!! How about autotune or pitch correction monitoring real-time? Any ideas?

Do you think this interface is O.K. (regarding specs and transformers) to put through the entire mix for adding some color?

ok!! You can use dsp effect (for ex.. reverb ) in cubase instrument track ( ex ... halion vst) no audio vst tracks..???

Are those DSP effects exclusively designed to be used with that audio interface? Or can I have any of the effects I´ve already got running on that interface? Thanks :)

Will the UR RT2 be updated to 32 bit and USB 3.1?

Hi Dom, When recording vocals from the UR-RT2's DSP, does it matter what my ASIO buffer size is set to in the control panel? I usually have it set to 64 samples when recording vocals inside Cubase and then change it to a higher latency (512) when mixing. I would like to always leave the latency set higher for mixing to allow for more processing/plugins. Also, does the Direct Monitoring box need to be checked in the Studio setup? That wasn't mentioned. Thanks!!

Hello, thank you for your videos, I really like your style of presenting this subjetcs. But please let me summarize it in my words, so that I know, I got it right.
I have the UR824 and Cubase (always the latest version). I can use the built in effects of the UR824 for recording esp. for monitoring. So I can record my guitar and put some compression and/or reverb on the channel, so I hear, as it "would" sound in the mix. But as I understood, it is not wise to also record this effect, because then I can not change it any more, am I right? So after recording is done and in the mixing stage I can use the same effects as a plugin and then I can increase the buffersize to avoid the drop outs.
One of the instruments that is mostly recorded is an accoustic guitar, I am a folk musician myself. I would really love a video from you how to use all this techniques in recording accoustic music, so I am hoping for a video without eletric guitar and drums...
Please correct me, If I am wrong.
    Martin

I think you are right, but it is still a matter of choices. You can print the effects (that is, to record with fx) or only use them to monitor.

Hi! I have a question. When ever I'm ready to record, I get this double monitoring effect in my headphones creating this chorus effect whenever I record vocals. Do you know how I can turn it OFF!??? I'm super highly disappointed cause it kills my vibe when ever I go to record.

Those guitars sounds more like barbed wire than guitar strings? Is there not any sort of cab simulator available? You can't use that sound, right?

Hi. Thanks for your video. I am a happy urrt2 user but i currently have a problem that i can't solve alone : i use the entry number 3 (one of the line input on the back ok the interface) for a Yamaha vl-70m synth connected to a wx5 wind controller. Lately i lost a lot of output (about 50) level while i was turning the morph button in the chammel strip plugin. I was very surprised because it worked perfectly before. But now i can't get the right monitoring (and recording) level... It remains very low. I tried to uninstall and reinstall all the tools for ur-rt2 but it didn't change anything. Can you help me to fix this ? Thanks. Franck Alcaraz.

Nice, but UAD Apollo is doing the same thing, and the quality and variety of the plugins, is in another league.

The Neve transformers on the UR-RT make the interface sound better than an Apollo though.

These effects are just a nice bonus, they are not the selling point of these interfaces.

    • @peterpeper4837

@@Espresso101 But do they really? Couldnt you use a plugin in apollo to get similar colour?

    • @maskitoluss
      @maskitoluss 2 роки тому

@@romain2879 I agree. There are really excellent quality plugins in the sound card. In the end, no one really understands Apollo or Cubase's built-in plugins after processing. More important is a cool idea and harmony than all these plugins and software.
