I play competitively, but my friends only recently picked up SSBU, and having absolutely no idea how the game even works, being able to refer them to this channel (especially the For Beginners video) was so incredibly helpful. Izaw does excellent work and provides great resources for players, casual or competitive. Honestly, I wouldn't be half the player I am today without the resources that he provides, and how much more accessible they make it to get into Ultimate. Can't thank Izaw enough.
To be clear, I'm #notsponsored, I just haven't had the best experience getting into this game as a newbie. So much dismissal, condescension, and "just play the game." Proper explanations and accessibility, along with intentional practice, really do make all the difference, so I really am grateful for Izaw's work.
This video is confirming to me I got my swapping down. I switch quite often in the matches and the combos you're doing are similar to what I am aiming for. I got the idea down. The next step is executing them, and working on my fundamentals such as short hopping, and spacing.
This are some of the most hype PT combos I’ve ever seen LFG 🙏🏽 Edit: Fun Fact: pokemon fast swap dose not work in Squad Strike because the trainer isn’t actually on screen
She's such a cool character. And I imagine Izaw could clear up a ton of misconceptions about Bayonetta that tons of people have. Both with play and counterplay. That's what I appreciate about this dudes videos now.
For anyone wondering I figured it out, the neutral b can’t be turned around with a normal b-reverse, it has to be b-turnaround’ed instead, where to direction is imputed before the b button, no idea why this is though, I’ve never seen this on other characters
I personally think ivy’s razor leaf curving up and down at random is stupid. Especially against small characters, I know it can be used to pressure space but still
I'm late but thank you for this video! I've been losing to or struggling to fight Pokémon Trainer and this video REALLY helps me out. Thanks to 1:10, I see I've been making a huge playstyle mistake the whole time.
This works as a finale. This one starts out a general but you get into more advanced and incorporates all of the Pokemon together. It does go over some stuff but it's pretty general and is more for those fighting PT who wouldn't know this. If you play the character, you'll know that ledge options and being above an opponent is lackluster. And learning which mon to use in each MU is helpful but never absolute. I feels it's just better to practice than study MUs in this scenario since there's so many. Recommend soloing each mon for a while and then combining them and seeing which mon to use in each MU. But knowing how each one works in different MUs will help you so you don't rely on just choosing which mon but using the resources that are readily available to you. Switching can get you in disadvantage or killed in some scenarios so just choosing won't always work. Knowing your disadvantage with PT is essential so you know when it's safe to switch, what tools to use, and how to use them well.
Awesome job! The only tip I see missed that's helpful with general tech is Zard can taunt change. It's faster than flamethrower and works well when getting an up air kill with ivy. up b is the fastest but it just depends where the kill is made. Think my PT only needs to work on off stage switching and some ivy combos. I used to play Link in 4 so I have a habit of fast falling almost every aerial or mixing in FFing but Ivy doesn't want that all the time.
I always think that, when every they fight with any "normal" people, they'll see what their skill are to be the best. While any characters that are animals or pokemons,I'll say they think their a wild pokemon and will defeat/capture it. And if they fight another Pokemon Trainer, they do a Pokemon battle.
Charizard was my main in Smash 4, but I didn’t pick up Pokémon trainer because when this game came out I didn’t like Squirtle being so light, but now I don’t mind it so I might pick them up
I know this video is 2 years old, but just a thought. Starting off the video with the counter play section is weird. Teach the characters first to understand their niche and then at the end discuss counter play.
@@raptorboss6688 maybe its because the video mainly went over counterplaying the character and the comment didn't watch the 3 other vids. Still weird to just assume this tho

À
U earned ur first sub 😊 idk why i subbed u just seem like a generally nice person
@@styrowrld6770 so do you take my like
I found his vids similarly helpful! He taught me that spot dodging isn’t crouching below an attack, Idk why I thought that. 😅😅😅
versatility is something I value a lot and what truest makes characters top tier imo
It’s why I think very high of Pokémon trainer
*truly 💀
11:01 is the greatest piece of sheer tomfoolery I've ever seen in my life.
Hopefully another PT besides Beast can show Zard is severely underrated. I love PT and their design.
Quidd when he wins LMBM and gets top 8 at collision
@@jmash3243 but Quidd very rarely plays Charizard
@@kaik625 woops I’m blind lol, thought he said PT as a whole, I’ll hold that
@@jmash3243 imo if Charizard post buffs were still his own char and kept auto cancel fair and rock smash he’d be no lower than high tier
zard is not underrated. If he was solo he would be the worst character in the game. In his own tier in fact

This has been a phenomenal set of videos, thanks for all the dedication man 👍
That last clip had me ROFLing.
yo that final clip from under the stage was crazy, poor mythra
Scam bot above watch out
Now that we're Pokémon (Trainer) masters, maybe we can get Mewtwo next?
Iso clip at 9:15 was super clean
This are some of the most hype PT combos I’ve ever seen LFG 🙏🏽

Leaf Fire Green lol
It also doesn’t work on custom stages (I think) and probably not in 5+ player matches
Please make one on bayo! Your guide for Byleth was incredibly helpful a while back, and I'm trying to pick up Bayonetta a little too now :>
Dude low key that’s such a cool character combo

At 10:20 it is clear you finished off the combo with a b reversed neutral b but I cannot seem to do that with squirtle? Did they change this?

how do you get gold? 5:52

Should I get better at video games? Absolutely yes...styling on my imaginary friends is so hype.
Edgeguards is mispelled in the video sections just FYI

agreed, we should be able to control it.
@@dudeman7229 so it’s actually not controllable? This is the main thing I’ve been looking for how to do.
@@patrickburton1401 I actually also just found out it’s rng after watching his art of ivysaur. It’s 🐴 💩

That was great, Mr. Musk! 🙇🏻♂️ Now buy the company and put more DLC in there!
How well does this fit with the other PT vids? I’m planning on watching all of them, but I was just wondering
Either a primer or a finale.
Maybe watch it before watching the other ones and then watch it one last time to weave in all the scenarios.

I’d love to get a full art of for joker or some of the other dlcs

We just need a game of smash bros but with Pokemon to be honest.

Thanks IzAw!
Fun fact charizard since he damages him self with that side move he causes himself to get that smash ball on demand if you do it enough 😅
Great Content as Always
So i guess after going through all three you do the whole thing xD
Great stuff as always! Your videos are the first ones I check out when picking up a new character. Would love a R.O.B. vid next!
The one I will always main besides Kirby, and Lucario
Fantastic video! Could we please get Peach next? 🙏🏿
Right on time for my local tonight, will it actually help me perform better? Probably not. Am i gonna walk in with more confidence? Ehh
Vid is sick
Can you please do Corrin and Robin, the only two FE chars left and making a video would help these underused characters get more attention
Art of Banjo next!!
Do Peach/Daisy next.
Bruh you didn't have to put the og pokemon into in the first minute. I got caught up singing it and had to rewind 😂😅

What’s rage?
Rage is a mechanic where the more % you have the more damage & launch your character has. (Sorry if this necropost wasn't helpful 💀)
My favorite character of the game, but I think it´s one of the hardest and worst characters to use because has many disadvantages.
