Small but significant point is at just after the five minute mark: if the attacker starts to run, if you chase him and hit him from behind, that may no longer be viewed as self-defence, unless they’re running to attack another person, which then becomes third-party defence. If the attacker is just running to get away any instructor worth their salt will teach their students to never give chase. Paying a person back is legally defined as assault, and you could find yourself facing charges. Side note, when doing a tactical get-up protecting your head with a high cover block can be a good idea as you get to your feet.
