Not sure if you guys gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend recently xD
@Miles Ben yup, have been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
EeEE
MVL is french, that's why he never hesitates to sacrifice his Marie-Antoinette...
And He's marching to Bastille Day!
robert lamantin good one!
Let him eat cake!
like any french man he likes to retreat

@@yousefamarneh1508 do you know that still to this day France have the most millitary victory in history?
I could watch these type of videos for hours. Your commentary makes it amazing. Well done keep it up 👍
Simon commentary is magnificent. Entertaining and informative
Word.
He's awesome 👏🏻
Keep it up!!
Very true
I am a simple frenchman, I see MVL, i like the video.
im from palestine and same for me i see mvl i click , my favorite player
for some reason, MVL gives a complete different vibe compared to Maxime Vachier-Lagrave
MVL gives off Rambo vibes and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave gives off James Bond vibes
@@aname4141 The name's Lagrave........Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Yeah, cool.
In the first position at 1:30 he has two bishops for the queen instead of a rook and a bishop
Exactly.
Yeah
100% true
And now he is the World blitz champion
your commentary is so great, keeps it interesting, and keeps my attention the entire time
One of my fav chess series on yt
The second game includes other sacrifices, and a wonderful underpromotion, you should definitely check it out, it was against Robert Fontaine I think
Please show most Brilliant moves of Vishy. I probably guess my own 5 best moves but surely wanna see what you think of his best moves. Awaiting and awaiting to see!! ♥️
Nice video.Looking forward to more such videos.
When will we get Anand's most brilliant moves?

@@shsh-lj2yg 5 time world champion Vishy Anand, one of the greatest chess players
So amazing, these all brilliant moves from Maxime Vachier-Lagrave`s is call ''chess art''
Amazing tactics from MVL! Thanks for the video!
Please show who were the opponents it makes the list more interesting
Are you ever going to do a similar video for The Magician from Riga? May be 10 best moves...
Maybe 10 most insane moves
Hemanta Dahal for tal we would need top 100
not "best" bc engines have refuted several of his sacrifices, but "craziest" moves would be nice.
@@joedorben3504 clock ticking during the match and days of analysis manually and using engine are entirely different things. Crazy is as crazy does 😁
@@Hemanta1991 yes i know tal said something like that about the unsoundness of his sacs, "best", in a chess context, is actually a pretty objective term, so we really shouldnt be talking about his "best" moves

Simon, very instructive videos, thank you very much.
You have chosen not to give information about the game, who with? where? when? and I believe that it’s regrettable
Maxime is very great player, and I inspired by he
Oii I've watched every of your video 3 times so please agadmator's top 5😂
The rook to d7 is simply orgasmic
I thought only Levy’s commentary could fulfill me but I was wrong. This guy is awesome.
This is the best of top 5 moves for me
Sigue subiendo e esos videos son los mejores que hay en el canal
7:31 if the king takes the bishop rather than bishop takes rook then isn't rook on d6 threatening mate to d8 and then take after black rook blocks?
I am late but the best move according to me is 7:29 to not take rxf1 but bxd6 Rb1 (because b1-Q is check) Rc2 with the threat of rc1+.....Ba2 cannot be played because rc1 is also a checkmate forcing black to play rxc1 pxc1-Q
@@urlfacilearetenir there are two things wrong with your analysis. First if rh1+, you don't have to take and can just move to G3 and there is no promotion with tempo. Second, even if you did promote and went to b8, then kh1, and if qxd6, then nxf7+ when blacks gets the queen back with a discoverd check tempo.
@@longdongbongchong Actually you misplaced the Knight, there‘s no possible way for it to check on f7.
The floating piece sacrifice is the extra spice we didn't know we needed
I LOVE YOU GM SIMON AND I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
7:33 what if I take the bishop??
I was confused about this also
@pcbh84 how about Rh1+ K ×h1 b1=Q+ Kh2 Qb8, pinning the rook?
Edit : of course W can play Kg3 without taking the rook.
Yea even from afar I was confused about this line and how it could be good for black, which is why I doubted that Rxf2 was the move he played until Simon showed it. The line he gave was blatantly obvious and very trivial, and I was surprised he didnt show the Kxh2 line, which was clearly more critical. If Rf8 then white has Rd1 up two pieces (even Nxf8 allowing b1=Q might still be good for white with R, B, N vs Q), and the only nice looking way to stop mate appears to be h6 or h5, but Im just convinced either of these are winning for black.
Need an answer to this
yes black has that back rank problem
Wow. Just wow. Brilliant play. I think France really has become a wonderful chess hub what with Bacrot and MVL
Good stuff
does anyone know from which game is the last diagram?
@ SimonWilliams your video sound is very low. it is very difficult to hear. but content is good. thanks.
md.nahid Hasan I’m afraid it’s you mate. I can hear loud and clear
I like Simon's boom, give me so power
In that last example it's awesome how his "back rank is weak" but the queen just stand on the open file waiting to be taken so he can deliver checkmate first. "The crossing gaurd defense"
Brilliant format of FIVE best, keep them coming
7:32 - 7:34 I prefer Kxh2 instead of Bxf1, as it gets rid of a strong piece and also saves the Rook for white.
In fact, that‘s winning for white! He‘s shown an unsound line
1:28 actually, MVL only has the bishop pair for the queen, not a rook and a bishop
Yeah
#5 7:21 I did find Rf3 but didn't see what to do if white plays Re1.
Answer is as simple as b1=Q , Rxb1, Qg3
amazing
Great videos - but no lightning in this one?
Next can we have 5 best moves of Dubov
5:56 the last one was the best to me
At 7:33 why not white king just takes bishop to avoid check? Black king is under threat of checkmate so can’t promote queen. So after black king moves pawn to create space simply white bishop watches B1. Right?
Kh2 rh1 u cant take because of b1 queen then kh2 qb8 pin the rook and if kg3 then h6 and now you have 2 past pawns
This is the line I see. Kh2 rh1 Kg3 h6 Bishop a2 watching b1. Black would possibly play a1 to kick bishop but bishop plays b1 rook takes then white rook goes b6.
Julian Drews thank you! That makes sense. I’m by no means a great chess player so I appreciate you checking this out!!
@@andrewgray2632 Bd3 instead of Bb1 would be the right move when Rd8# is unstoppable

Arkos 11 true
In the second game there is a promotion to knight which is the only winning move for MVL, not sure why it was cut off ...
At 5:50 didn't work also Ne8 with th same idea?
Are you ever going to do a video on Vishy?
Brilliant.
For MVL’s 6:28
After Black plays Rook X F2
Instead what if white plays
Rook x R f2, Queen X R D1 +, King X B H2
Queen to d6 + , King moves then capture white rook
And now it’s Queen 🆚 Knight & Bishop ... i like the odds 😎
At 5 th pozition, white also have Ne8 to deliver chessmate
Please, Simon does Tal's most brilliant
Mikhael Tal best move:")
4:34 black Rock to f6 . White queen MUST run away and the attack is stopped. Any solution to this one?
Alright I am stupid. I understand
7:29 Simon, you should have considered after Rxf1+ Kxh2 because this whole line is dependent upon this variation turning advantageous for black and for me it is not immediately obvious how black is winning because White’s counterplay is also huge.
Follow it through from there. Sac the rook on h1, queen with check then pin the rook to the king on b8
Suppose they don't have to take the rook though and I'm not good enough to calculate further lol
It’s a really interesting position for me. Plugging it into the computer Bxd6 is forced after rook takes queen. Then black would definitely be winning here.
@@marknewman6820 Rh1+ white goes Kg3 and wins
Mark Newman That’s the exact position where if the Rook is not taken i would need to spend a few minutes figuring out who is better in that position.
The current Candidates Leader, nice.
In the last game, what if white plays Kxh2, threatening checkmate with the Rook on d8?
Nothing excites jaded Grandmasters more than a theoretical novelty.
Same comment on chessbase India's channel
You're becoming really annoying
He changed the name of his channel so he didn't get banned.
Paul Morphy wow thats low
At 5:44 doesn't Ne8! also work? It seems to have even more elegance. - j q t -
We want milhail tal top5 plz
Okay so this is probably quite dumb, but in the last one after Rxf1 just Kxh2 and white is threatening checkmate next move. And after probably h6 just Bxf1 and white will have a rook, bishop and knight for a queen. Ik theres probably a move im not seeing but just had to comment this.
He doesn't have "a rook and a bishop for the queen", as you say, but two bishops!
Is he the next tal.
His absolute best move : Losing on purpose his many qualifying death matches for the Candidate tournament so that he qualified not even with the wildcard but with no pressure and stress afterwards.
I guess clairvoyant is a french word too :-)
MVL is class.
Why don’t you do about Le Quang Liem most 5 briliant chess move
# suggestion 5 greatest move of anand
7:31 what about Kxh2
you should play Bxd6 instead of Rxf1+, Rxf1+ Kxh2 is actually better for White
Pls do anands top 5
won't happen, there isn't any
Bro make a top 5 chess game of Mkhail Tal
Who are his opponents?
If rook takes the queen, and then the black rook takes on d8, and the the king takes in h2, black can't promote a queen because the white rook can do a background mate.
Who was the first victim?
Top 5 moves
Ivanchuk
Vishy Anand
Brillant player. He is on twitch....thank god my grandma teached me french lol
But not English
@@KeshavKumar-po5th who cares
7:31, why not kxh2, and then black can't queen due to back rank threats, and then take the rook with the bishop and have a winning position?
Rxf1is the wrong move after the Rook takes Queen. The correct move is to take the Rook by the Bishop. Then White has to lose his Rook to eliminate the b2 pawn and black wins.
2:29 I am laughing for 2 hours
MVL Is the MVP🖤
An example ON THE CHESS BOARD.
When u are planning to show vishy Anand moves and Mikhail tal moves
No Rh7?
6:13 if rook take rook in d7?
Not sure but I guess he wins the exchange Rxd7 Nxd7+ (Bxd7 Qh8++ ) hence Qxd7 Qh8+ Ke7 Qxa8
sdbaets After Nxd7+, Bxd7 is NOT necessary. It’s Qxd7 by black! But still White is winning the exchange after Qh8+ followed by snapping the black rook on a8.
@@terrifictamal read my full comment, "Hence..."
@@sdbaets yup :)
7:25 is a blunder if rook takes the rook on f1 the king can take the bishop on h2 remember black will not have time to advance the porn because of his back rank weaknesses hence the black rook on f1 will be taken and black will have lost(blundered)
The porn ?!!
no, he can't; it's protected by the queen.
Sir please make a Video featuring top 5 plays of GM Wesley So.
You should tell us if they won the game tho, it’s not all the time in which you do that
Yo
Why isn't Nd7+ better in the 4th one? If BxN, Qh8 is mate immediately. If RxN, Qh8 Ke7, QxR, threatening Qd8 mate, or if QxN, RxQ, and then either BxR Qh8 mate, RxR Qh8 as above and white will be up a queen, or Ke8 and white has a number of options, such as RxR, Rxb7, Rxf7, etc.
Agreed. Any of the following conditions could be possible with:
Nd7+ Rxd7 Rxd7 Bxd7 Qh8#
Nd7+ Bxd7 Qh8#
Nd7+ Qxd7 Rxd7 Rxd7 Qh8#
Or I am making a mistake somewhere?
4 th pozition *
tal? u forgot about the best one
SOUND is very low !!! (last 2 videos, too !)
7:31 why not king takes bishop, threatening mate on the next move with the rook. Now simply promoting will result in mate. So Maxime has to play h6 and then bishop takes rook and white still has 2 pieces and a rook for the queen which will atleast be a draw if not a win.
There are some beautiful moves which are not a sac nor a way to checkmate.
5:55 why didn't king move g8
Qg7 mate
Why are most modern chess player names difficult to pronounce?
Mikhail Tal next
8:20 what if white plays knight to f7
Nf7+ Rxf7 if Rxf7 Qxd1 Rf1 b1=Q -+
If If Rxd6 Rf1+ Bxf1 b1=Q again black is winning
May god protect you from corona dear Simon Williams.
