@11:31 Short glimpse.
The cover sounds sick! Can't wait for the full version
Hell yeah! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!
Not gonna lie, I've heard every Babymetal song and seen the live performance videos for most, but still, it feels like the first time every time! 😆🤘🦊
Great reaction, thanks!
I believe that Su-metal's command is just for the live audience but I do it even sitting here, just in case... 🤣
This is so much fun and it's a blast live. The collaboration of the year!
🤘🦊
"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Great reaction. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). As Jake Muller already said, this one is all Japanese ('Shanti Shanti Shanti' is their India/Bollywood homage).
The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!".
If they include the word "live" in the title of an official video they do mean it is live including the audio (probably with some post production tweaks of course). Official videos filmed at live shows that do not have "live" in the title use the studio audio.
Nice cover.🤘
Great reaction🤘🦊♪

Nice reaction, but if you're going to talk, sing or yell please pause the video...Thank you 😊
I got extra excited this time :D . Sure, I will try my best in Maya video :) .
The guy already knows the song, let him enjoy lol
Thanks from Japan 有難う 💛。When it comes to BABYMETAL, everybody prefers live rendition to studio MV. (If this video included cool instrumental intros by Western (American) Kami Band, which are played at every venue, it would be prefect.) This song was one in the setlist performed all of the shows in the North American tour (29 gigs) with Dethklok and EU/UK tour (20 gigs) and other gigs. I appreciate the devoted support by Chris, CJ, Anthony and Clint (and Ryan in NA tour).
The title is a synthesized word from two words : "Metal" and "Matsuri 祭 (festival)" → Metali.
And if you want to know the deep meaning of the lyrics please check Professor Hartley's channel (Andrew Hartley).
Momometal's extravagant elocution and moves in Kabuki style with her growl thereafter gave an amazing accent in the exciting repetitiveness. The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival) to intensify people's excitement and exhilaration and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi (神輿) on their shoulder that is a kind of a float in Western style festivals.
_Wasshoi wasshoi!_ 🦊🤘🏮
So cool they finally released a live version of METALI!! without blocked issues, the Summer Sonic version is really cool too but unfortunately almost no one was able to get through the copyright blocked.
Now you can enjoy the differences with the official MV and of course with that special crowd interaction they did at every live show around the world.
Btw the music you heard isn't related to Banghra or Bollywood, the music is made by a shamizen, a typical Japanese instrument and it's pretty common at Japanese festivals and traditional songs, although here with the upbeat tempo it probably sounds like a Bollywood song.
Nice guitar skills.🎸
Kitsune up and see you next time!🦊🤘🔥
Yes. I have seen the instrument many times, even know few artist personally who play it in Japan. I love strings instruments, we have ton of string instruments in my country as well by my favrt is rubab. Am hoping to get 7 strings guitar soon. Thank you for sweet comments 🦊\m/.
