What a thrill to hear Jane Wiedlin in such fine voice more than 40 years after this song put The Go-Go's on the rock and roll map in the summer of 1981. Lots of good times at The Crocodile during visits to Seattle's Bumbershoot festival.

The opening chord progression is exactly the same as the 1960's Boyce and Hart single Alice Long. I always wondered if that song inspired this song musically.

I had no recollection of "Alice Long," but checked it out and you're absolutely right about the similarity of the intros. The instrumental groove of "Alice Long" is also reminiscent of another Boyce & Hart hit, " I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight."
