gordon’s guitar solo on To the Kill- even though he hides behind the drums and turns the volume down before the last note plays out, he absolutely nailed it. ⚡️🎸⚡️

Good question! I don’t know of it but the sound person for the show may have recorded it! Not sure who was doing that at that time. I know the club owner discouraged employees from recording.

@@1elare The first and second Femmes albums--I can't think of a more original white band in the world. Imagine their influences!
He sounds like Lou Reed, especially “Good Feeling” at the end. The Velvet Underground obviously influenced The Violent Femmes!
no violent fems was first.
In retrospect, the most punk band to come out of that era.

Thanks, that was all done with consumer equipment and a feed from the soundboard, glad you enjoyed it

prove my love.....raw...lol
Anybody know what electric bass Brian is playing there?
I could be wrong, but it looks like a Peavey T-40 to me.
is there a higher fidelity sound version of this anywhere?

... and the Enima! ↙️
He put his fishy hand's down my sticky pants! 💜
Sorry but unless you grew up in the 80's this isn't your band. It's our band and they travel with all their equipment.
You can't fuck with the violent femmes
I've never seen such bad gatekeeping, I'm sure people love being around you
@holdthemayo9132 I grew up in the 80s, but didn't discover them until my early 20s, 1996
@@johnsmith7140ok- you’re good. You get to listen.
Brian Ritchie is the John Entwhistle of his time.
