Obi wan didn't say that he doesn't remember R2. He said he doesn't remember owning R2, which is true because R2 belonged to padme and anakin. Obi wan never owned him!

Obi-Wan DOES remember R2. His line about never having owned a droid is just his way of teasing R2, about how R2 bent the truth when he said that he was Obi-Wan’s.

Alec Guinness may have despised Star Wars (called it fairy tale rubbish, and agreed to do an autograph for a kid if that kid agreed to never watch Star Wars again), but his skill in acting really brought it all together. Without the prequels you can still feel the pain as he remembers but with them you get a whole new sense of what he was talking about, and his expressions carry the scene even more

PTSD is reliving a traumatic experience many times over like it never stopped. Most soldiers have it watching their friends get their legs, arms, and lives taken away in an instant but anything can cause it. EMT's could easily have it too trying to save somebody's life on the bumpy ride to the people with real surgical equipment. Lights and sounds can trigger these flashbacks that leave people unable to escape or find any peace of mind. Some can move past it and others will carry that weight with them the rest of their earthly lives.
When I first say the title for this video I laughed so hard, then I watched it and I almost cried 😢😢 too good!!👌

1:55 Well if you remember back in season 1 of The Clone Wars, Kenobi said R2 units were a-dime-a-dozen (weird considering they don't have U.S. currency) when R2 was MIA after a space battle.

That blue lightsaber is stained with sooooooo much blood it's not even funny... I'm shocked that they never touched on it, even in the sequels

I think a lot of people were just expecting it to be a meme. "Obi-Wan has PTSD high ground NOOOO dancing lightsabers flippy flippy I HATE YOU RAWR LOL", and are really taken aback when it quickly becomes clear that it's the exact opposite. There's a lot more emotional weight because it subverts your expectations.
