Well that tree fell fast you will have tons of wood for Tom to split 😂. The weather we had all summer and being in drought then the weather changing I'm sure has had an affect on the chickens. My neighbor's chickens are doing the same thing.
From years of experience, chainsaws are supposed to throw chips, not dust 😅 That wedge cut should have taken a few seconds each side. Sharpen your chain properly or just replace and maintain the new one. It will save you LOADS of wasted time and energy. Remember too, a dull tool is a dangerous tool. Hope this helps ✌🏻😬

Larry you should get 5 to 10 years of chickens laying eggs but the first two years of the chicken's life's the best for laying eggs but yeah good luck Larry
We only have Golden Comets which is a high production chicken. On average, our only stops laying 2 wks a yr. We got to the point we were mixing raw eggs with horse feed. It was great for the horses and us because they produce more than we can eat.🐣🐤🐥🐔
On a fully working farm. Based on self sufficiency, when chickens fully stop laying they are meat for the freezer. I know it's hard to accept but a chicken somewhere must become dinner. Might as well be the one you know isn't full of poison.
I meannn, I only have 4 chickens and live in North East Ohio. My egg production is still going well. It has been starting to get colder at night, so I bought some kind of radiant heater for their coop. It's totally safe and is made for the coop. I was noticing a difference in production on the colder nights but after that heater, it's been going really well. I do have one chicken who looks basically naked tho. I believe it's because it's molting, but im not sure because the other ones are really fluffy and full of feathers. If they have molted, they didn't get anywhere near as naked as this one is. Soo, idk. I'm kinda concerned about that. However, I know that when they do stop laying, im just gunna keep them until nature calls for them. Im to attached to do anything else with them just because they're not producing. Feed and stuff isn't really that expensive so for me, it's worth it to just keep them. They would have been giving me eggs for years. The least I would be able to do is continue to feed and water them so they can enjoy their "retirement." But that's just because I'm attached to them like I know you're attached to yours, too.
Happy Sunday Loungers! ❤ The weather has been warm throughout the summer months, and it is changing to freezing at night. Hope the chickens are staying warm this season.
I usually wait till a couple of my chickens stop laying then I will figure out which ones aren’t tag them so I know an off to the butcher we go. This is typically 6-8 year old chickens.
Improper nutrition can occasionally cause hens to stop laying. Inadequate levels of energy, protein or calcium can cause a production decrease. This is why it is so important provide hens with continuous access to a nutritionally balanced layer food, containing 16% - 18% protein
hickens can stop laying eggs if their coop is dirty. A clean environment is crucial for maintaining the health and productivity of your hens! Here are a few reasons why a dirty coop can impact egg production: Stress: Chickens are sensitive to their environment, and a dirty coop can cause stress
I clean it regularly and I have all the things you listed. I found out that a friend of JT's that has 100 hens only had 6 eggs one day last week so it's gotta be the weather.
You love chickens til they pass away of natural causes. Your chickens would be very loving if you pick them up and pet them and give them kisses. They can be just as loving as any house pet. Chickens love to eat way more then just their normal grains. They love watermelon and pretty much all fruits and they love eating scrambled eggs and pretty much anything you eat they will eat.
Love it Cousin Tom Abraham And Uncle Larry Abraham LoungeTV Guys.

There's also people that take in layers to let them live out there lives.
And they also slow down /stop laying in colder weather months...all normal

i have 30 chickens no eggs in about 2 month don't know why
Hey larry & tom, awesome video without joe
Larry you could make some nice charcuterie boards out of that white oak, it looks nice on the inside, also some cookies or carvings.
Enjoyed the video as always, larry you should definitely sharpen that saw blade btw. 👍💯

Happy Sunday Loungers🤍
Hello Loungers
turn alot of that back clearing for the chickens !
usually 3 to 16 weeks for them molting
Happy Sunday. 😊
I love your videos by the way go cowboys
Maybe let the chickens out of the lot some. They might be stressed out.
Good job. But next step sharpen saw.
Where is revisiting the Ursula series more of them
Definitely needs a new chain
Length of the day will change the way they lay
Sharpen that chain 😭. Also cutting that wedge was completely unnecessary since it's already leaning that way
