RJ Academy introduces a new course of Co-ordination chemistry where we will cover the entire syllabus of the CSIR-NET/JRF exam.
students who are preparing for GATE IIT-JAM and other chemistry-related exams where co-ordination chemistry is being asked can go through with the course as we are also covering the B.Sc. and M.Sc. syllabus deeply.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Till now, we have studied the following points:
🧨 Introduction and Syllabus of CSIR NET co-ordination compounds
🧨 What are co-ordination compounds?
🧨 Why co-ordination compounds are formed?
🧨 How co-ordination compounds are different from double salts?
🧨 Metals and Ligands
🧨Classification of Ligands
🧨 Ambidentate and Flexidentate Ligands
🧨 Denticity and Hapticity
🧨 Chelate ring and chelate complex
In today's lecture, we will study the reason why co-ordination compounds get extra stability when chelate ring are formed during complexation.
Chelate complex are the complex which are formed by chelating ligand. We have studied the concept of formation of chelate ring in the previous lecture. Today we will more focus on the reason behind stability of chelate complex which is also known as chelate effect.
Let's start the lecture and understand what chelate effect is?
