I am so jealouss My hair does not poof, its lays down. I want to wear a puff so damn bad but can't. Your hair is gorgeous.
My hair lays down too. Try rolling with small perm rods or small satin rollers and lightly separate. I have to pin the hanging pieces to format what I guess you can call a "bun puff".

same here , i have to do bantu knots or small roller set , you need to make your curls tight & springy so do small roller sets ir small medium bantu knots . loose curls will lay down .
..but tight springy curls will stick up
