The tools on digital notetaking are everything I always needed for med school. I hate drawing anatomy stuff and when I write something on the wrong spot I get soooo mad. Def buying an iPad now

It's a lot easier with the ipad. Doing it by hand I didnt have the energy but not at all
Jonathan DPG no, it is not that much easier, it still requires a lot of man hour and you may ended up wasting time. I’m also medical student, for some topic, making flashcards, diagrams could save you a lot of time to get good grade
I mean personally, at least, I find it so much easier to remember information and stay focused when my notes are colourful and have doodles and things. Yea it takes time, but it’s also really useful to some people 😁

kubimango I’m a fourth year medical student, and I have no regrets going paperless, you have an easy access to notes, lectures and even books, I highly recommend the app GoodNotes 5 for class notes and books in pdf, greetings!

@@jennie-qh4uw hello, am a bit late but: ipads are good, but in the end nothing beats having a laptop in college. in most cases, ipads aren't designed yet for certain applications that you may need to access. i've had to open applications from my laptop that couldn't be opened through a hand held device. they are very different systems. ipads are convenient for note taking, but definitely invest in a macbook before going for an ipad. you may run into issues of not being able to open, operate, or access certain materials. just something to think about!
blackpink stan i just got an iPad 3 weeks ago and it definitely can’t be a laptop it has some features but if you need a laptop for school you would really need to buy a laptop.

I wish apple pencil was available when i was in dental school. I remember really wanting a fiftythree pencil for my ipad mini back in 2014 to write notes & annotate pdf’s during lectures. I purchased an affordable adonit & wacom bamboo stylus instead and my god were they horrible. I ended up not really using any of them. I’m now a registered dentist but man i miss being an undergrad & studying so much.
i sometimes imagine what it would have been like for me to have all these gadgets when I was in Architecture School
I’m a GP right now and still studying and making notes with my iPad Pro... there is no end to knowledge

Adhi Suryana yes agreed. As a dentist, I still study & make notes everyday. Love my ipad pro & apple pencil! But what I really miss is studying as an undergrad.

can you tell us the thickness you use?
An easy way to find images on google with transparent background is type png after what you are looking for. It works almost all the time.

I got the bellemond one today coincidentally 🤣 i also use goodnotes. The paperlike feel allows me to write smaller while sill maintaining neatness. So it’s faster!

Does the iPad Pro offer black pages of different styles or do I need to download them separately?
I don’t know if you know yet but GoodNotes just updated to allow you free download on Mac so you can just have it on your laptop and no transfer. Loved the video 💗 now I’m inspired 😍

out of curiosity, at what point in the study process do you write your notes? like every time you finish a chapter in class and read the corresponding textbook pages or the days leading up to an exam?
people usually write rough notes then redo them later

I usually notes quickly and not so neat like it’s a disaster but I can’t take my time while writing because the teacher talks so fast that if I write slowly I’ll miss the information.... therefore when I go home I redo them and add new information if I want to or more explanation,etc ....but I need to do it the same day because if I won’t.... then later I won’t understand what I wrote that day 😂
And it would be better if you write notes daily ... and then like gather them when you finish the chapter ...
I mostly write my notes out physically first and I don’t spend too much time on presentation so it’s not “rough” notes as I make them very detailed but once I do them physically I then copy them out from memory digitally on an iPad and I make the presentation nice. I also organise my notes on google drive with different folders for different subjects I also do this in real life with my rough notes it just helps be become more organised. I hope this helps

How much storage does your ipad use just for study notes etc? I just ordered an ipad with only 36gb would that be enough do you think?
I'm SO tempted to pay more and get the iPad Air. I make a lot of mistakes, and I'd love the double-tap to erase feature on the 2nd gen apple pencil, but I don't know if I can afford it.... Do you find that switching between the pen and eraser tool is tedious, or not too much of an issue?

How do you get your hand writing to be so clear, i have an apple pencil and i just have issues getting not necessarily good handwriting but at least readable. (I only have this issue digitally, its not like a paper issue)
