love these renditions! u should try checking out tara a devlin's youtube channel for either her kowabana videos which are different japanese horror stories she releases weekly or her videos on j-horror content and video games in general. really great introduction on japanese horror and lore.

Because there’s multiple things I want to say/ask but I don’t want to spam your comment section so I’ll just put it into a numbered comment
    1. Are you Korean/Korean-American? I know from your previous videos that you love K-pop and the movie you mentioned watching is Korean horror movie so I was just curious. (I apologize if that comes off as rude since you could be any other nationality but also like Korean-language stuff)
    2. Ghosts and demons also freak me out to. I can deal with horror stories about real people but supernatural horror stories give me the heebie-jeebies (I get scared/paranoid easily despite being a horror fan)
    3. Teke Teke is definitely one of the most scariest Japanese urban legends for me along with Aka Manto, the Daruma-San game, and hachisakusama
    4. The word you were looking for to describe the Hone-Onna (which you are completely correct on the translation) is uncanny. Something that looks familiar but feels off in a creepy/unsettling way
    5. All three characters definitely feel like they could star in Japanese horror movies
    6. All of them are great but if I had to chose my favorite, it would definitely be the Hone-Onna
    7. A horror movie I recommend is Ready or Not (2019) the main character is definitely one of my favorite female horror protagonists of all time

Thank you for your sweet comments always! ❤️
      To answer your questions…
No I am not! I’ve just been into K-pop since I was very little!
I’m happy you enjoyed the characters! I was gonna include some that you mentioned but decided not to because they’re very well known already.
YESSS! THATS THE WORD I WAS LOOKING FOR! I swear it was on the tip of my tongue…
I think Hone-Onna is my fave too!
…and I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about that movie! I’ve just been too scared to watch it because I know there’s a lot of *blood* so I’ve been a coward…maybe I’ll check it out this time! 😅
