I love that there is a whole new and seemingly very passionate audience for guitar stuff in China, its brilliant to see. And well done for that clinic, speaking via a translator can't be easy.
Man it was sooo hard, it made me realise how much I use humour in my clinics normally… trying to get it to translate was hardcore
Wow! They really went all out on the Nobels OD. Thought I was done with the search, but might have to give it a go. Excellent video!!!
I love how you've shown the passion that people have for creative pursuits in Asia. So much possitive energy, joy, and support here.
2006, I was in Black Dragon Province, about 50km from the border with Russia. I didn't find a single person who spoke English. Walking down the street, I was a Rockstar.
Rob, I really like how you are making a real effort to speak Chinese. That means so much to the locals and shows that you are not the typical visitor to China. I can understand the words you are using, and you are using them properly.
Thank you very much, sir, I’ve had an interest in Chinese martial arts and food/movies ever since I was a kid so I managed to pick up some mandarin
@@RobChappers my first exposure to Chinese one when I was 19 years old, and a man from Taiwan moved into my home with me temporarily. It turns out he was a martial arts master and I got my first instruction from him, in Chinese language. keep up the good work, bro. 👊🏻 加油!
@@mjklein sorry, I used my personal account for the above reply. I am @phoenixmediaforge
This is awesome. So cool to see people so genuinely excited about guitar.
I feel like so many people are so jaded and nonplussed these days. Maybe it's social media? The state of the world? IDK. We gotta all reconnect with this kind of vibe.
Great videos Rob!! Really interesting and fantastic to watch. Thanks again!!
It’s been so interesting and educating following this journey of yours through China. Incredibly interesting seeing the different perspective of guitar gear and music, it’s really cool! Hopefully there is more of this content to come!
thanks for that nobels presentation! I almost forgot about that brand....but this device sounds damn interesting!
I heard that guys oof Nobels sonmtimes live in China LOL. BTW ORD-1 is really brilliant though it is not costly and I bought a golden version last year
Fascinating again. Thank you.
Rob, thanks for sharing!
You have the gift of communication. Music sure connects all of us:)
The Nobels is my fav drive. Can’t believe they just made it better!
I know I’ve said it before, but you my friend, are liquid fucking smooth in your playing. LOVE YOUUUUU!?!?!
Really cool to see the restaurant, the city, the paper cutting man, and how fun it seemed to teach some guitar to the group. 👍🎸
You were in the zone big time. I don't know what it was your tone was impeccable. And you were playing a little bit simpler than you normally do? It was either the recording or your tone in the room or a combination of both but you sounded absolutely amazing!!!!🔥 You usually sound pretty good I mean really good, This was different You were in the zone man and I noticed your pentatonic scales were very simple but yet intense! I really enjoyed this one Rob Maybe you need to go out of your element a little bit to bring out your best playing!!!!!✌️🎃 Btw the new Noble seems to be very modern. I'm sure it sounds the same but with just a few more tweaks that you can do for the modern player! Can't wait to test drive one!💣
Thank you so much man, I think because I had been playing every day either a clinic or a demonstration that I was practised rather than rusty… the nerves also helped! All I’m using is the NUX Trident literally nothing else
Wowww!! In almost like a traditiona, typical chinese/asian food stall or whatever you wanna call it, you guys are discussing about a pedal. This is great!! I like this haha 🤘🏿🤘🏿
love the new stuff mate... no more pork in the post for you ;)
They like you! Awesome trip
Soooo...you're kind of a big deal in China? Might you say famous even?
I am truly glad for your success. It's a long way from England!
If you like the Nobles OD1, check out the Keeley Nobles Screamer. It's a Nobles OD1 on one side with a tube screamer on the other side. You can pick which EQ section you want to pair with which drive section, or stack them together, or........
I have one of each on my board. Love that OD1.
Legendary nobel odr1
Exelente!!!
wode baba
I was impressed.
You just standing infront of everyone rocking out
Go chappas!
This catches that amazing blend of old and new.
We were in a technology development area but the people had taken time and space to preserve something of their roots.
And of course the experience of learning to wash your plates etc in scalding tea before you eat 🤣🤣🤣
I can still taste the Congee!!
Come over to Suzhou, Venice of the east. When in China you need to go here. I’m not a tourist thingy thingy. I’m just a guy with a couple of guitars. 22 years in China soon. Let’s have a beer. If I could contact you directly, I would. Got WeChat?
I swear I tried to make some string noise while you was playing but I failed LOL
Chinese food > Guitar Pedal
Wassup fam?
Wassup chap!
@@rajibazam2431Chilling, drinking whiskey!
@@RobChappers WOW! thanks for replying!
Learning Chinese pretty fast. Top stuff! As you are in China, let’s hook up. Let me show you the Venice of the east, Suzhou. I can also show you the awesome area of Xinjiang, my wife is from that awesome area.
That string muting at the end is something I think you learn yourself organically over time, than teach verbally.
Wow, I took your dad for Trevor Wilkinson at first glimpse 😀
What song were you playing at the six minute mark?
It’s one of my old instrumental tracks called bleed the light
Have you tried a Shijie yet!? :D
Not yet, think I saw that Guitar brand at Music China though!
Ok, time to practice the muting thing.
