I just found The Strokes a year ago. I went from curiosity to excitement to wondering how I ever lived without them... sometimes they make me sob with pure happiness and sometimes they make my stomach ache from sorrow. I could never put into words how much I love this band and how powerfully they make me feel my emotions.

First Impressions of Earth goes in first place, it´s like the most powerfull album, so much energy in there, but of course every goddamn album of the strokes will always be in the top of the tops

Listened to both of the latest tracks All the Time and One Way Trigger, sound different but great because the strokes are pushing the sound, Its just seems no one as the patience to listen to a song for more than 15 sec. let alone more than once, shite today is like sonic meth instant and destructive. The strokes are way more deep will definatly buy their next
I think they're implying that RCA forced this record out of them and that the album is more of a product of corporate mandate than artistic inspiration. That's why the RCA logo domineers the band and album names. They were probably all pissed that RCA forced them to do a record they didn't want to (this record fulfills their 5 record contract with RCA) and decided to sort of get back at them by hinting to people that this is more RCA's baby than theirs. That's just my guess.
But this album was more experimental and they practically didn't release the album. I dont think so

I think I disagree with Fantano this time.
I think this song is good enough to pass for the Strokes. It definitely has too much of that sound Phrazez of the Young and Angles had. I'm probably going to like this new album just like the other albums, but I just hope they can really bring it. Love the guitar solo on this, really smooth and stylish.

Way better than "One Way Trigger" this reminds me a lot of the sound of their second album "Room on fire"
I'm not liking this album as much compared to the first three. The raw sound on is this it was so much more addicting than this sound. I still like it though. I suppose everyone has to move on. Try searching

Angles is way better received, released more singles, better reviews, and a way more consistent tone and theme throughout. CM is okay, but like one of the Strokes said, some of the songs on CM are just songs that didn't make it onto Angles, aka Bsides.
