Great underrated duo. Their light harmonies and easy listening style helped defined 70's soft rock.
    Their other great hits include:

Same here. Those same two songs take me back to being a teen and spending almost every day of the summer of '73 at the city pool. The local Top 40 station always played over the pool's PA system so anything that got a lot of airplay that summer takes me right back. Another one on that list is Simon and Garfunkel's Kodachrome.

One of the great duos of the 70's. Beautiful, balanced harmonies. And such a great song. Seals & Crofts made lovely, thoughtful music and had a number of hits. None tops "Summer Breeze" for me, which will always be on my all-time fave songs list. I wouldn't associate Seals & Crofts with a smoky jazz lounge, though. These days, they'd be put in the "Yacht Rock" category and really, that would be more their vibe. Peace. ✌🏽

The keyboard player, David Paich and drummer Jeff Porcaro went on to form the band TOTO. One of my favourite Louis Shelton guitar parts was from "Last Train to Clarksville" for the Monkees. The duo, England Dan & John Ford Coley have been mentioned in earlier comments. As it happens, that duo also provided backing vocals on some of the tracks on the album "Diamond Girl". I always love seeing how many musicians that worked on the music of the 60's and 70's collaborated together. 🎸😎

Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts had a younger brother named Dan whom he called England Dan because he was a Beatles fan. England Dan and John Ford Coley is a group you should listen to if you haven't. I saw them three times in concert, twice in downtown Chicago and once at a venue in one of our suburbs. After both downtown concerts they passed out booklets about the Baha'i faith and invited anyone who wanted to join them to go to the Baha'i Temple. The one temple in the U.S. is in Wilmette which is a North Shore suburb and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Chicago. Unfortunately I was not able to go either time, but I still have the booklet. The third time I saw them as they were leaving the stage they shook hands with some of the audience sitting in the bottom rows. I happened to be in the second row and Jimmy Seals shook my hand. I'm going to recommend three songs which are not part of their big hits, but are personal favorites of mine. They are "Windflowers", "Follow Me" and "The Boy Down The Road".

This is the single version. The album one has a longer guitar solo really great. I knew these guys. Nicest people I ever met in the music business. They were at UH a lot when I started there. They are both Bahai missionaries and founded the Bahai church near the campus. I knew Sam Kinison too. He was actually an AG revival preacher. He worked with campus crusade. He started his comedy career in Houston. He was a good guitar player too. Jim's brother Dan was paired with a bandmate John Ford Coley. They became a duo when the band split. They had several hits too. All these guy knew their way around the studio. They were killer live too.

What a wonderful song and wonderful reaction. Amber your smile through the song speaks volumes to how one feels when listening to this song. I feel like that whenever it hear it also and I heard this song since it was released. I smiled and got into the vibe then and still do these many decades later. Timeless. A huge yes to all the suggested songs already stated in the comments. The both of you will just love more by them. We want to "Make you smile", so return to more of Seals & Crofts in the future. I have another song by them that is not a single but appears on their "Get Closer" album. Written by Seals and given to The Knickerbockers in 1967 to record. "Sweet Green Fields" the Seals & Crofts version is just a truly wonderful listen. Glad that you enjoyed this song and seeing both of you smile made my night. I recommend "Nights are Forever Without You" and "It's Sad To Belong" by England Dan & John Ford Coley also. Thanks.

@@shelq3814 They reacted to that some time ago. They also reacted to "Love Is The Answer" by them. If you do a search of Rob Squad Reactions - England Dan and John Ford Coley the reactions will come up. Worth checking out if interested. As for Seals & Crofts they reacted to "Summer Breeze" and this so far.

I graduated high school in 1974, their song “We May never pass this way Again” was played during the ceremony. Also “We’ve Only Just Begun” by the Carpenters was played. Much cooler than Pomp and Circumstance!

My late wife was a Dan Seals fan. We went to see him back when his solo career in country was taking off. Songs like "Everything that Glitters isn't Gold." were top of the charts and she had a great time although a little too much to drink :) Miss ya hon, coming home soon.

Thanks for taking me back to my teens loved Seals and Croft. My favorite is GET CLOSER. Takes me back to a little dive bar and every time this song came on the jukebox Jim Omler and I would dance even if he was shooting pool he put the game on pause and danced with me. Mind you nobody danced in this bar but everyone knew if we were in the bar and GET CLOSER came on we were going to dance. GOOD TIMES GOOD MEMORIES ❤❤❤❤❤

Jim Seals was the older brother of "England" Dan Seals, of England Dan & John Ford Coley. They also had some monster hits in the 70s, and Dan went on to have a successful country career. Sadly, both brothers have passed, but they left a lot of good tunes.
