Ahhh Tex has had such an emotional few days first his daughters leave, then his wife and son. Then he’s chased into a trailer. AND then he see them in this beautiful green pasture and they are running to meet him. It was so beautiful. I was actually crying. So happy for you guys.

I can't help but laugh at the Longhorns in the stall. They will eventually learn it but the down side is that you have to clean the barn every day. It's a lot easier to feed cattle out in the open like they're used to.
Aww their first dinner as a family and I think they did great for a first try on their stalls! So wonderful to see them together and they look so relaxed! Just them with no distractions, living their best lives!!❤️

Saw them in correct stalls twice already !! Now they have been in their new home with all the more and new grasses so not as hungry as maybe they just be!! Much new green grass !! Hey Jami....I was watching one of Rick's videos a while back and he figured out that when he zoomed out to his horses, the microphone on his phone seemed to zoom out too, making it hard to hear him...you might want to ask him if there is a way to change that in the settings because either he fixed it or got a different phone, not sure. I just noticed that yours does that too when you zoom...love you guys, so proud for you!!
YES! I had trouble hearing Jami in this video. Must have been on zoom most of the time. I've noticed Jami is hard to hear on most of her videos. That could be the explanation. I hope Jami sees our comments! Love all their videos!

The first time I ever seen “Amber waves of grain” is driving through North Dakota. The setting was perfect, driving down the highway, a gentle breeze blowing, sun set perfectly and grain waving in the breeze, than Bam! it hits me, seeing the beautiful color and all the fields of grain waving in the breeze, like they were dancing in sync. If front of my eyes, I was literally seeing one of lines of America the Beautiful playing in front of my eyes. It was so beautiful! I felt so blessed that day to see where that lyric line came from(I’d lived in Alaska) and to see such God made creation.
I feel They are so much happier at Longhorn Lester's they stay together as a family all the time now I love it seeing them always walking together ❤️❤️ beautiful place for them. Living there best lives for sure ❤️❤️
Something that might help with the flies is the Redmond salt blocks with garlic in it. Several people have used is with their animals. Dusty Baker (Dejay's brother) is using it with his Buffalo. Hidden Heights and Keepin it Dutch both went to the the mines itself and now won't use anything else.
🥰🥰I love the videos at LHL'S because I can't get over how beautiful it is. Tex and family are finally living their BEST life there. Any other animals that you bring over will be lucky to have all of the freedom and pasture that they want.

This property is so beautiful and seems to be such a great fit for the animals. Also, Tex seems so relaxed and content there, however, I still miss seeing them all together in the old pastures. Not a complaint at all. This has apparently been a great move for the Longhorn herd.

Once the pond I fully filled it will really look incredible. I am waiting patiently to see the day when it's full. I grew up having a really great swimming pond that all the neighborhood wanted to come swimming in. Ahh good memories for me.❤✌👍
I think you lay chicken wire in the washout area put dirt over and plant ivy or clover sprinkle both clover and grass seed grass sprouts quicker and holds the clover to start the cover throws webs and holds the dirt in place if the grass was established the washout wouldn't happen and hay over of course water daily. Clover stays green all winter I seeded my entire yard with white clover for the bees years ago I did the chicken wire thing I live directly on a cliff above a river and had terrible washout the clover works

I wonder if automatic gates on the stalls will work, like hit a button placed inside the walkway somewhere, and when a bovine goes in, you can hit the button for the automatic gate to shut behind them. A different comment here, this is about the French drain that sister Kim suggested. This may be outlandish but looking at how the erosion is going down the side of your pond would it not be advisable to put a French drain all around the pond with downspouts dug in and going into culverts in the lower part of the pond? I know it will be a lot of work but I think that would fix your whole problem? But, I sure it would be really expensive though.
yep i had one estimated for my backyard i believe it was 100 ft, 6 K! unbelievable. not prepared to spend that kind of dough right now till things settle down.

A Bull with good pedigree is worth a lot of money in the Longhorn breed. Cow's / Hefers are NOT milk cow's in the longhorn breed . I could write a book on what & why it is important to have Bull's rather than Hefers. Is ALL good as longest they healthy...😎

I think you lay chicken wire in the washout area put dirt over and plant ivy or clover sprinkle both clover and grass seed grass sprouts quicker and holds the clover to start the cover throws webs and holds the dirt in place if the grass was established the washout wouldn't happen and hay over of course water daily. Clover stays green all winter I seeded my entire yard with white clover for the bees years ago I did the chicken wire thing I live directly on a cliff above a river and had terrible washout the clover works

I wonder if automatic gates on the stalls will work, like hit a button placed inside the walkway somewhere, and when a bovine goes in, you can hit the button for the automatic gate to shut behind them. That would be so cool to see that happen haha. Gotta love Tex for his "I don't know about going in there, you gals shouldnt go in there either" lol.

It’s so funny how timid Pearl was as a baby but not Gracie & definitely not Santoro! Santoro is just running around like he owns the place. Typical 4th child syndrome with Santianna…she’s like whatever, do what you want. I don’t have the strength.

A different comment here, this is about the French drain that sister Kim suggested. This may be outlandish but looking at how the erosion is going down the side of your pond would it not be advisable to put a French drain all around the pond with downspouts dug in and going into culverts in the lower part of the pond? I know it will be a lot of work but I think that would fix your whole problem? But, I sure it would be really expensive though.
yep i had one estimated for my backyard i believe it was 100 ft, 6 K! unbelievable. not prepared to spend that kind of dough right now till things settle down.

@@sandrabowers50 In one of the earlier videos Lester has said that since Carl came to the sanctuary there has not been one animal taken or killed by predators. We see them by day, but the ostriches project by night.
Amber waves of grain is wheat fields blowing in the wind. It looks like ocean waves. Beautiful!
