I didn't get that impression in the slightest. The first video I saw of her was "The Way". The way she dances, those eyes, that smile.. there is no doubt whatsoever, she is all woman. I think it's somewhat insulting not to recognize that. Almost like questioning if a man is a "boy"..
Yeah you don't get that but I do and many people do, you can't change the impression I get when I look at her. She looks a lot younger than she is and she always looks sweet and cute, curly hair, pink lips, dresses she styles herself to look like that. If she wore something different and didn't do her makeup/hair like that she wouldn't look so young.

In America though, fathers associate very young *looking* girls to be too similar to their daughters and therefore question the propriety of expressing attraction. Siblings will do the same if their sister(s) are similar in youth and appearance.
I think that is what's going on here, because we often make subconscious associations with a person's appearance and that of others we know.. For example I consider Ariana to be extremely similar in appearance to a young Jessica Alba, even in personality (when Jessica was in interviews or making video diaries).

She did change a lot in the past year actually. From 2013 to 2014 she has changed drastically! But due to this new Ariana, she's been getting more hate. The Ariana in this video, was her only because people knew her as Caterina Valentine. And now that she's done with Nickelodeon, she can be more mature. I love her as both a singer and a person.
