I was there for this race, it was a warm day. They would send a couple of outsiders down first to cut the track, then next dozen guys were where medals were expected to go. But because it was warm the first guy down got the best conditions and totally unexpectedly he won the gold.
It would be so cool to see women 1992 olympic downhill too. Also tough demanding course (Roc de Fer in Meribel) and also full of surprises. Big favorites Seizinger and Kronberger were beaten by outsiders Lee-Gartner, Lindh and Wallinger. Somebody please upload!
das sieht vielleicht härter aus als heute is es aber nich umbedingt damals war ja auch die skitechnik ganz anders 1:40 - 1:47 L'Ancolie mein lieblingsstück :-)
Girardelli aurait normalement remporté cette descente olympique, devant Ortlieb et Piccard, si Marc n'avait pas fait cette erreur de virage...du reste Girardelli terminera deuxième du Super G(derrière le jeune Aamodt),et du Géant (derrière Tomba mais devant Aamodt),avant d'enfourcher en Slalom...
Presque 20 ans après, le mystère reste entier: Pourquoi diable l'Equipe de France, au drapeau bleu-blanc-rouge, arborait-elle cette immonde combinaison orange et verte? Rarement une équipe nationale aura eu une apparence aussi moche. Et chez nous, en plus! Bravo à Franck Piccard et à tous les médaillés français, mais pas merci à l'équipementier!

Auserdem ist das die Face, die ist so brutal, dass es 17 Jahre gedauert hat bis auf ihr wieder Rennen waren.
Girardelli était meilleur que les spécialistes de vitesse de l'époque ce jour là...un extra terrestre....

was heißt "Zeitenvergleich", ist ja eine andere Strecke.. bis zur ersten ZZ. war 1992 ein gewaltiger Sprung, welcher 2009 fehlte. Anschauen bittää.
