I think it's awesome that you guys switched over to more vegan foods. I've been watching you since the beginning, and for the past year I have also been thinking about eating less meat and explore vegetarian & vegan alternatives. I think I will do what you guys did and try the 7-day challenge, maybe it will make my transition easier.
I've always wanted to try jjamppong, but since I have a vegan diet I've never been able to try it, and all the other online recipes I've seen look lacking based on the ingredients. I'm so excited to try this recipe!!!
Wow I have been living under a rock. I had no idea she went plant based. I have been a subscriber before her transition but never watched any of the videos because I’m vegan korean. I liked her korean twists in recipe. But now I can totally follow a lot of her recipes!! Can’t wait to try this jampong! Haven’t had it since I was a kid! 🖤✨🌱🍄🖤
Thank you. Looks delicious. Planning to share your channel with my vegan friends. I’m not purely vegan but eat many vegan meals. You warm my heart. 🥰❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing! I will surely try this one. Also I want to say your recipes are SO GOOD AND AUTHENTIC Korean. And easy to make! For the ones that I tried, the taste were on point and my daughter said the taste were really authentic 😍
this is a win for the plant based community!!!!!!! !yyAAASSSSS !!!!! even if you do plan on going back at least its so nice of y'all to do this for us ... for us people with no creative bone
This looks sooo good. Definitely have to try this recipe. Love that you included tofu and that bean thing. I’ve never heard about that but definitely going to look for it next time I go to the Asian market. I’m sure there are many more Asian vegan products that I don’t know of yet!
I am so glad you make vegan content. I really like your recipes but more than that, I absolutely LOVE your energy and you give out such nice and positive vibes :) All of your videos are feel-good content.
Thank you SO much for this recipe! It was so comforting and satisfying. I used seitan for protein and didn't have the konnyaku, but it was still incredible. ❤
I want some! I’m gonna have to make this too! Thank you fo sharing! I make vegan recipes too on my channel. I hope we can connect and learn from each other!!
I haven’t finished the video yet but I wanted to pause and say thank you for posting these plant based recipes! I’m HIGHLY allergic to fish and fish sauce so I don’t get to enjoy as much Korean food as I would like. It also limits my family’s enjoying too (they don’t want to eat it without me, they’re nice😊). But thank you for sharing how I can make amazing recipes like this without risking needing my epipen 😂😂 Okay back to the video!
Guys, this recipe was amazing. If you haven't tried it yet, do it!!! I use dried shitake mushrooms in my broth too and chopped them up after and I love the chewiness with it. Seonkyoung always has the best recipes. ❤️
You look lovely fresh faced (and slimmed down). Thank you for wonderful recipe! Please could you share more of this kind of one pot recipes - I’m in a dorm with only one pot:)
If I cooked and stored the noodles separately, would this recipe keep well in the fridge and/or freezer? I like to make big batches of food to cook less often since I'm still in college.
The "real" Seafood Jjamppong is my absolute favorite of any soups. I'm a retired chef and have made hundreds of different kinds of soups. My 2nd most fave is probably a rich Pork ,green chili posole' .. Vegan stuff just doesn't appeal to me but to each their own. Love your channel. Have a Merry Christmas n Great New Year! :8)
Same on some of your points , however I have eaten some vegan food, but cooking it yourself depending on the recipe can be expensive,;buying it for me is cheaper .I’m just glad she didn’t delete her meat recipes for us that aren’t vegan. . I’m happy she likes her new food lifestyle and grateful she didn’t abandon her original core audience .
Dunno, haven't eaten meat in 17 years and don't miss it at all. Meat is pretty boring and extremely overrated imo, I've really learned how to cook (without meat substitutes) since I've realised that.
😍 I’m gonna try this! Have you tried stir frying the king oyster and oyster mushrooms till brown first before adding water? I found that browning them brings out a “seafoody” taste and more flavor.

Hi Seonkyoung! Are you developing a vegan yukkaejang recipe? Would love to see your version!
Thank you for the recipe.!
I miss her saying "Asian at home" it was too cute but I'm definitely making this!
Me toooo
That was the good old days before she was vegan
But we still have *"nooders"!* 😚
i feel like she changed when she moved to HI :(( now her vids kind of seem like she is so sad and unhappy and that makes me sad
@@mikelapange3292 That's you projecting since I doubt you even know her personally lol

Love seeing how you creatively adapt to the new vegan lifestyle. Still looks delicious!! ❤️🎄

It's my favorite Korean dish, I wanna try this vegan recipe too 🤩 I always use your old recipe so good
Thank you🙏😍 Love the add on like konjac and yubu. I 'veganized' your original recipe awhile ago and its my favorite Korean dish. 👍
I love Korean spicy foods, I eat mostly these on winter times to feel my warm blood circulation. These spices are traditional medicinals too. Thanks.
Yummy! I can’t believe how much younger, healthier you look! You’re glowing! Amazing what a change of diet can do✨✨✨

Could you please do a vegan or plant based recipe for your Yukgaejang?
Yes!! I made it not too long ago and it was delicious!
@@SeonkyoungLongest Yummy, cant wait for the recipe! Its my favorite Korean stew.

This looks SOOOO good Seonkyoung! I cant wait to try it out
I want to make this now, but it's like 6 am. XD 😢
Thanks for adding ways that I can make korean plant based at home. Now I just gotta find ways to use konjac jelly and noodles
Omg it looks so good !!😍🤤and I don’t even like mushrooms 😅 Missed this type of video, can’t wait to see more like this!!

Good Morning Friend's cuisine is like Korean JjamppongThere are some Korean words. It's Korean food.
Can you adopt me please. Or open a restaurant up near me.?
I've made this twice now and it's soooo tasty. A new fav!
hope you are ok..just don't seem ok

I love your recipes they've lots of veggies in them. Balance of meat and veggies. They're awesome. Would love to try this one
It tasted just like the restaurant ❤ I really didn't expect it would. But it did!

The way you say noodles is so cute 😄
If I cooked and stored the noodles separately, would this recipe keep well in the fridge and/or freezer? I like to make big batches of food to cook less often since I'm still in college.
You can make the soup ahead but don't cook the noodles ahead, just cook the noodles when you are ready to eat jjamppong.
looks amazing I can almost smell it from the UK!
Finally. Thank you.
Omgosh this looks so good!!!!
I miss this dish! Thank you for making this!

It's a good thing you're retired if you're not willing to get good at vegan cooking.
Since not everyone loves plant based eating, would it possible for you to add additional comments of when proteins could be substituted?
I have regular jjamppong recipe you can check out! 🔥
It's so much easier to meatify vegan dishes than the other way around. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
😍 I’m gonna try this! Have you tried stir frying the king oyster and oyster mushrooms till brown first before adding water? I found that browning them brings out a “seafoody” taste and more flavor.
Is this still good the next day?
The soup, yes. Don't cook the noodles ahead 🥳

But vegetables aren't expensive? 🤔
meat is so much more expensive than vegetables, especially right now
➡️ Something tells me that this is going to be awesome ✨🥰
Eww
Hi, Seonkyeong! I once saw Baek Jong Won makes dashima guksu. Do you think adding kombu dashi would make it “seafoody”?
Yes but don't boil too long or it slimly
